1And I said, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know judgment?
1และข้าพเจ้ากล่าวว่า โอ ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นประมุขของยาโคบ คือบรรดาผู้ครอบครองวงศ์วานอิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงฟัง ท่านทั้งหลายต้องทราบความยุติธรรมไม่ใช่หรือ
2Ye who hate the good, and love evil; who pluck off their skin from them, and their flesh from off their bones;
2ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เกลียดชังความดีและรักความชั่ว ผู้ที่ฉีกหนังออกจากประชาชนของเรา และฉีกเนื้อออกจากกระดูกของเขาทั้งหลาย
3and who eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces as for the pot, and as flesh within the cauldron.
3ผู้ที่กินเนื้อชนชาติของเรา และถลกหนังออกจากตัวเขาทั้งหลาย และหักกระดูกของเขา และสับเขาเป็นชิ้นๆ เหมือนกับทำไว้ใส่หม้อ และเหมือนเนื้อที่อยู่ในหม้อขนาดใหญ่
4Then shall they cry unto Jehovah, but he will not answer them; and he will hide his face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.
4แล้วเขาจะร้องทุกข์ต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่พระองค์จะไม่ทรงฟังเขา คราวนั้นพระองค์จะทรงซ่อนพระพักตร์เสียจากเขาทั้งหลาย เพราะเขาได้ประพฤติอย่างชั่วร้าย
5Thus saith Jehovah concerning the prophets that cause my people to err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace! but whoso putteth not into their mouths they prepare war against him:
5พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสเกี่ยวด้วยเรื่องผู้พยากรณ์ผู้ที่นำชนชาติของข้าพเจ้าให้หลงไป ผู้ที่กัดด้วยฟันและร้องว่า "จงเป็นสุขเถิด" ผู้ที่ไม่ยื่นอะไรใส่ปากของเขา แต่พวกเขาประกาศสงครามต่อเขา
6therefore ye shall have night without a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, without divination; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.
6เพราะฉะนั้น จะเป็นกลางคืนแก่เจ้าปราศจากนิมิต และความมืดทึบจะบังเกิดแก่เจ้าปราศจากการทำนาย สำหรับพวกผู้พยากรณ์นี้ดวงอาทิตย์จะตกไป และกลางวันก็จะมืดอยู่เหนือเขา
7And the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; and they shall all cover their lips, for there will be no answer of God.
7ผู้ทำนายจะอับอาย พวกโหรจะขายหน้า เออ เขาทั้งหลายจะปิดริมฝีปากด้วยกันหมด เพราะว่าไม่มีคำตอบมาจากพระเจ้า
8But truly I am filled with power by the Spirit of Jehovah, and with judgment and with might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
8แต่สำหรับข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าเต็มด้วยฤทธิ์เดช คือด้วยพระวิญญาณของพระเยโฮวาห์ และทั้งความยุติธรรมกับกำลังที่จะประกาศการละเมิดของยาโคบแก่เขาเอง และประกาศบาปของอิสราเอลแก่เขาเอง
9Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity,
9ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นประมุขแห่งวงศ์วานของยาโคบ คือผู้ครอบครองวงศ์วานอิสราเอล จงฟังข้อความนี้ คือท่านผู้ชังความยุติธรรมและผู้แปรความเที่ยงตรงทั้งสิ้นให้ปรวนไป
10that build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with unrighteousness.
10ผู้สร้างศิโยนด้วยโลหิต และสร้างเยรูซาเล็มด้วยความชั่วช้า
11The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet do they lean upon Jehovah, and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? no evil shall come upon us.
11ผู้เป็นประมุขของเมืองนี้ตัดสินความด้วยเห็นแก่สินบน ปุโรหิตของเธอสั่งสอนด้วยเห็นแก่สินจ้าง ผู้พยากรณ์ของเธอทำนายด้วยเห็นแก่เงิน ถึงกระนั้นเขาทั้งหลายยังอิงพระเยโฮวาห์และกล่าวว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสถิตท่ามกลางเรามิใช่หรือ ไม่มีความชั่วอย่างไรเกิดขึ้นแก่เราได้"
12Therefore shall Zion for your sake be ploughed [as] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
12ด้วยเหตุนี้แหละ เพราะเจ้านี่เอง ศิโยนจะต้องถูกไถเหมือนไถนา เยรูซาเล็มจะกลายเป็นกองสิ่งสลักหักพัง และภูเขาแห่งพระนิเวศจะเป็นที่สูงซึ่งมีต้นไม้
