¹Fine, fratoj, pregxu por ni, ke la vorto de la Sinjoro disvastigxu kaj estu glorata, kiel ankaux cxe vi;

¹For the rest, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also with you;

²kaj ke ni forsavigxu de senprudentaj kaj malbonaj homoj; cxar ne cxe cxiuj estas la fido.

²and that we may be delivered from bad and evil men, for faith [is] not [the portion] of all.

³Sed fidela estas la Sinjoro, kiu vin fortikigos kaj vin defendos kontraux la malbonulo.

³But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you and keep [you] from evil.

⁴Sed ni fidas la Sinjoron rilate vin, ke vi faras kaj faros tion, kion ni ordonas.

⁴But we trust in the Lord as to you, that the things which we enjoin, ye both do and will do.

⁵Kaj la Sinjoro direktu viajn korojn en la amon al Dio kaj en la paciencon de Kristo.

⁵But the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of the Christ.

⁶Ni ordonas al vi, fratoj, en la nomo de la Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo, ke vi vin apartigu for de cxiu frato, kiu iradas senorde kaj ne laux la tradicio, kiun oni ricevis de ni.

⁶Now we enjoin you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the instruction which he received from us.

⁷CXar vi mem scias, kiel vi devas nin imiti; cxar ni ne kondutis senorde inter vi;

⁷For ye know yourselves how ye ought to imitate us, because we have not walked disorderly among you;

⁸nek mangxis panon donace de iu, sed per laboro kaj penado, nokte kaj tage laborante, por ke ni ne farigxu sxargxo por iu el vi;

⁸nor have we eaten bread from any one without cost; but in toil and hardship working night and day not to be chargeable to any one of you:

⁹ne kvazaux ni ne havus tian rajton, sed por estigi nin ekzemplo antaux vi, ke vi nin imitu.

⁹not that we have not the right, but that we might give ourselves as an example to you, in order to your imitating us.

¹⁰CXar ecx kiam ni estis cxe vi, la jenon ni ordonis al vi:Se iu ne volas labori, tiu ankaux ne mangxu.

¹⁰For also when we were with you we enjoined you this, that if any man does not like to work, neither let him eat.

¹¹CXar ni auxdas, ke inter vi iradas senorde kelkaj, kiuj tute ne laboras, sed en cxies aferojn sin ensxovas.

¹¹For we hear that [there are] some walking among you disorderly, not working at all, but busybodies.

¹²Tiajn ni ordonas kaj admonas pro la Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo, ke kviete ili laboru kaj mangxu sian propran panon.

¹²Now such we enjoin and exhort in [the] Lord Jesus Christ, that working quietly they eat their own bread.

¹³Sed vi, fratoj, ne lacigxu en bonfarado.

¹³But *ye*, brethren, do not faint in well-doing.

¹⁴Sed se iu ne obeos al la parolo de cxi tiu nia epistolo, rimarku tiun, kaj ne estu por li kamaradoj, por ke li hontigxu.

¹⁴But if any one obey not our word by the letter, mark that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed of himself;

¹⁵Tamen ne rigardu lin kiel malamikon, sed admonu lin kiel fraton.

¹⁵and do not esteem him as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.

¹⁶La Sinjoro de paco mem donu al vi pacon cxiutempe kaj cxiumaniere. La Sinjoro estu kun vi cxiuj.

¹⁶But the Lord of peace himself give you peace continually in every way. The Lord [be] with you all.

¹⁷La saluto de mi, Pauxlo, per mia propra mano, kiu estas la signo en cxiu epistolo; tiel mi skribas.

¹⁷The salutation by the hand of me, Paul, which is [the] mark in every letter; so I write.

¹⁸La graco de nia Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo estu kun vi cxiuj.

¹⁸The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all.
