¹Ne jugxu, por ke vi ne estu jugxataj.

¹Judge not, that ye may not be judged;

²CXar per kia jugxo vi jugxos, per tia vi estos jugxitaj; kaj per kia mezuro vi mezuros, per tia oni mezuros al vi.

²for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.

³Kaj kial vi rigardas la lignereton en la okulo de via frato, kaj ne pripensas la trabon en via okulo?

³But why lookest thou on the mote that is in the eye of thy brother, but observest not the beam that is in thine eye?

⁴Kiel vi diros al via frato:Lasu min eltiri la lignereton el via okulo; kaj jen la trabo en via propra okulo?

⁴Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Allow [me], I will cast out the mote from thine eye; and behold, the beam is in thine eye?

⁵Hipokritulo, eligu unue la trabon el via okulo, kaj tiam vi klare vidos, por eltiri la lignereton el la okulo de via frato.

⁵Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine eye, and then thou wilt see clearly to cast out the mote out of the eye of thy brother.

⁶Ne donu sanktajxon al la hundoj, nek jxetu viajn perlojn antaux la porkoj; por ke ili ne premu ilin sub la piedoj, nek poste, sin turninte, dissxiru vin.

⁶Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them with their feet, and turning round rend you.

⁷Petu, kaj estos donite al vi; sercxu, kaj vi trovos; frapu, kaj estos malfermite al vi;

⁷Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.

⁸cxar cxiu petanto ricevas, kaj la sercxanto trovas, kaj al la frapanto estos malfermite.

⁸For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

⁹Plue, kiu homo el vi, kies filo de li petos panon, donos al li sxtonon;

⁹Or what man is there of you who, if his son shall ask of him a loaf of bread, will give him a stone;

¹⁰aux se li petos fisxon, donos al li serpenton?

¹⁰and if he ask a fish, will give him a serpent?

¹¹Se do vi, estante malbonaj, scias doni bonajn donacojn al viaj filoj, kiom pli certe via Patro, kiu estas en la cxielo, donos bonajxojn al tiuj, kiuj petas de Li?

¹¹If therefore *ye*, being wicked, know [how] to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him?

¹²CXion ajn do, kion vi deziras, ke la homoj faru al vi, vi ankaux faru al ili; cxar cxi tio estas la legxo kaj la profetoj.

¹²Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do *ye* also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

¹³Eniru tra la mallargxa pordo, cxar largxa estas la pordego kaj vasta estas la vojo kondukanta al la pereo, kaj multaj tra gxi eniras.

¹³Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it.

¹⁴CXar mallargxa estas la pordo kaj malvastigita estas la vojo kondukanta al la vivo, kaj malmultaj gxin trovas.

¹⁴For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it.

¹⁵Gardu vin kontraux la falsaj profetoj, kiuj venas al vi en sxafaj feloj, sed interne estas rabemaj lupoj.

¹⁵But beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.

¹⁶Per iliaj fruktoj vi konos ilin. CXu el dornarbetoj oni kolektas vinberojn, aux el kardoj figojn?

¹⁶By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather a bunch of grapes from thorns, or from thistles figs?

¹⁷Tiel cxiu bona arbo donas bonajn fruktojn, sed putra arbo donas malbonajn fruktojn.

¹⁷So every good tree produces good fruits, but the worthless tree produces bad fruits.

¹⁸Bona arbo ne povas doni malbonajn fruktojn, nek putra arbo doni bonajn fruktojn.

¹⁸A good tree cannot produce bad fruits, nor a worthless tree produce good fruits.

¹⁹CXiu arbo, kiu ne donas bonan frukton, estas dehakata kaj jxetata en fajron.

¹⁹Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

²⁰Tial per iliaj fruktoj vi konos ilin.

²⁰By their fruits then surely ye shall know them.

²¹Ne cxiu, kiu diras al mi:Sinjoro, Sinjoro, eniros en la regnon de la cxielo; sed tiu, kiu plenumas la volon de mia Patro, kiu estas en la cxielo.

²¹Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he that does the will of my Father who is in the heavens.

²²Multaj diros al mi en tiu tago:Sinjoro, Sinjoro, cxu ni ne profetis en via nomo, kaj en via nomo elpelis demonojn, kaj en via nomo faris multajn potencajxojn?

²²Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied through *thy* name, and through *thy* name cast out demons, and through *thy* name done many works of power?

²³Kaj tiam mi konfesos al ili:Mi neniam konis vin; forigxu de mi, vi farantoj de maljusteco.

²³and then will I avow unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, workers of lawlessness.

²⁴Tial cxiu, kiu auxdas cxi tiujn miajn parolojn kaj plenumas ilin, estos komparata al sagxa viro, kiu konstruis sian domon sur roko;

²⁴Whoever therefore hears these my words and does them, I will liken him to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock;

²⁵kaj falis pluvo, kaj venis inundoj, kaj blovis ventoj, kaj albatis tiun domon, kaj gxi ne falis; cxar gxi estis fondita sur roko.

²⁵and the rain came down, and the streams came, and the winds blew and fell upon that house, and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.

²⁶Kaj cxiu, kiu auxdas cxi tiujn miajn parolojn kaj ne plenumas ilin, estos komparata al viro malsagxa, kiu konstruis sian domon sur la sablo;

²⁶And every one who hears these my words and does not do them, he shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;

²⁷kaj falis pluvo, kaj venis inundoj, kaj blovis ventoj, kaj sin jxetis sur tiun domon, kaj gxi falis; kaj granda estis gxia falo.

²⁷and the rain came down, and the streams came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.

²⁸Kaj kiam Jesuo finis tiujn parolojn, la homamasoj miregis pri lia instruado;

²⁸And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his doctrine,

²⁹cxar li instruis ilin, kiel havanta auxtoritaton, kaj ne kiel iliaj skribistoj.

²⁹for he taught them as having authority, and not as their scribes.
