1Sagxa virino konstruas sian domon; Sed malsagxa detruas gxin per siaj manoj.
1The wisdom of women buildeth their house; but folly plucketh it down with her hands.

2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; but he that is perverted in his ways despiseth him.
3En la busxo de malsagxulo estas vergo por lia malhumileco; Sed la busxo de sagxuloj ilin gardas.
3In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4Se ne ekzistas bovoj, la grenejoj estas malplenaj; Sed multe da profito estas de la forto de bovoj.
4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5Verama atestanto ne mensogas; Sed atestanto falsama elspiras mensogojn.
5A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies.
6Mokanto sercxas sagxecon kaj gxin ne trovas; Sed por sagxulo la sciado estas facila.
6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none [for him]; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent.
7Foriru de homo malsagxa; CXar vi ne auxdos parolon de sagxo.
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, in whom thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
8La sagxeco de sagxulo estas komprenado de sia vojo; Kaj la malsagxeco de malsagxuloj estas trompigxado.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way; but the folly of the foolish is deceit.
9Malsagxuloj sxercas pri siaj kulpoj; Sed inter virtuloj ekzistas reciproka favoro.
9Fools make a mock at trespass; but for the upright there is favour.
10Koro scias sian propran malgxojon; Kaj en gxia gxojo ne partoprenas fremdulo.
10The heart knoweth its own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
11Domo de malvirtuloj estos ekstermita; Sed dometo de virtuloj floros.
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.
12Iufoje vojo sxajnas gxusta al homo, Kaj tamen gxia fino kondukas al la morto.
12There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.
13Ankaux dum ridado povas dolori la koro; Kaj la fino de gxojo estas malgxojo.
13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness.
14Laux siaj agoj mangxos homo malbonkora; Kaj homo bona satigxos per siaj faroj.
14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man from what is in himself.
15Naivulo kredas cxiun vorton; Sed sagxulo estas atenta pri sia vojo.
15The simple believeth every word; but the prudent [man] heedeth his going.
16Sagxulo timas, kaj forklinigxas de malbono; Sed malsagxulo estas incitigxema kaj memfidema.
16A wise [man] feareth and departeth from evil; but the foolish is overbearing and confident.
17Malpacienculo faras malsagxajxojn; Kaj malbonintenculo estas malamata.
17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of mischievous devices is hated.
18Naivuloj akiras malsagxecon; Sed sagxuloj estas kronataj de klereco.
18The simple inherit folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19Malbonuloj humiligxos antaux bonuloj; Kaj malvirtuloj estos antaux la pordego de virtulo.
19The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous [man].
20Malricxulo estas malamata ecx de sia proksimulo; Sed ricxulo havas multe da amikoj.
20He that is poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends.
21Kiu malsxatas sian proksimulon, tiu estas pekulo; Sed kiu kompatas malricxulojn, tiu estas felicxa.
21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious to the afflicted, happy is he.
22CXu ne eraras malbonintenculoj? Sed favorkoreco kaj vero estas cxe tiuj, kiuj havas bonajn intencojn.
22Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.
23De cxiu laboro estos profito; Sed de babilado venas nur senhaveco.
23In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.
24Propra ricxeco estas krono por la sagxuloj; Sed la malsagxeco de la malsagxuloj restas malsagxeco.
24The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly.
25Verparola atestanto savas animojn; Sed malverparola elspiras trompon.
25A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies.

26In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27La timo antaux la Eternulo estas fonto de vivo, Por evitigi la retojn de la morto.
27The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
28Grandeco de popolo estas gloro por regxo; Kaj manko de popolo pereigas la reganton.
28In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince.
29Pacienculo havas multe da sagxo; Sed malpacienculo elmontras malsagxecon.
29He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30Trankvila koro estas vivo por la korpo; Sed envio estas puso por la ostoj.
30A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31Kiu premas malricxulon, tiu ofendas lian Kreinton; Kaj kiu Lin honoras, tiu kompatas malricxulon.
31He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy.

32The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing; but the righteous trusteth, [even] in his death.

33Wisdom resteth in the heart of the intelligent [man]; but that which is in the foolish maketh itself known.
34Virto altigas popolon; Sed peko pereigas gentojn.
34Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to peoples.
35Favoron de la regxo havas sklavo sagxa; Sed kontraux malbonkonduta li koleras.
35The king's favour is toward a wise servant; but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
