¹{To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.} Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

²Malveron ili parolas unuj al aliaj, Vortojn flatajn el koro hipokrita.

²They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

³La Eternulo ekstermu cxiun flatan busxon Kaj langon fanfaronantan,

³Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

⁴Tiujn, kiuj diras:Per nia lango ni venkos, Nia busxo estas kun ni; kiu estas sinjoro super ni?

⁴Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us?

⁵CXar prematoj estas ruinigataj kaj malfelicxuloj gxemas, Tial nun Mi Min levos, diras la Eternulo; Mi donos savon al tiuj, kiuj sopiras pri gxi.

⁵Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff.

⁶La paroloj de la Eternulo estas paroloj puraj, Argxento, purigita en tera fandujo kaj sepfoje refandita.

⁶The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

⁷Vi, ho Eternulo, konservos ilin, Vi gardos nin kontraux cxi tiu generacio por eterne.

⁷Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

⁸CXirkauxe aperas multe da malpiuloj, Kiam malnobleco altigxas inter la homidoj.

⁸The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
