1{A Song of degrees.} Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, that walketh in his ways.

2For thou shalt eat the labour of thy hands; happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3Via edzino estas kiel fruktoporta vinberbrancxo interne en via domo; Viaj filoj estas kiel olivaj brancxoj cxirkaux via tablo.
3Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine in the inner part of thy house; thy children like olive-plants round about thy table.
4Jen tiel estas benata tiu homo, Kiu timas la Eternulon.
4Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth Jehovah.
5Benos vin la Eternulo el Cion, Kaj vi vidos la bonstaton de Jerusalem en la dauxro de via tuta vivo.
5Jehovah will bless thee out of Zion; and mayest thou see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life,
6Kaj vi vidos la infanojn de viaj infanoj. Paco al Izrael!
6And see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel!
