¹{To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' Of David. Michtam; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.} Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; secure me on high from them that rise up against me.

²Savu min de la krimuloj, Kaj kontraux la sangaviduloj helpu min.

²Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from men of blood.

³CXar jen ili embuskas kontraux mia animo, Fortuloj kolektigxas kontraux mi, Ne por mia krimo kaj ne por mia peko, ho Eternulo.

³For behold, they lie in wait for my soul; strong ones are gathered against me: not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.

⁴Sen kulpo de mia flanko ili kunkuras kaj armigxas; Rapidu renkonte al mi, kaj rigardu.

⁴They run and prepare themselves without [my] fault: awake to meet me, and behold.

⁵Vi, ho Eternulo, Dio Cebaot, Dio de Izrael, Vekigxu, por punviziti cxiujn popolojn; Ne indulgu cxiujn krimajn malbonfarantojn. Sela.

⁵Yea, do thou, Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, arise to visit all the nations: be not gracious to any plotters of iniquity. Selah.

⁶Ili revenas vespere, bojas kiel hundoj, Kaj iras cxirkaux la urbo.

⁶They return in the evening; they howl like a dog, and go round about the city:

⁷Jen ili parolacxas per siaj busxoj; Glavoj estas sur iliaj lipoj; cxar kiu, ili diras, auxdas?

⁷Behold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips: for who [say they] doth hear?

⁸Sed Vi, ho Eternulo, ridos pri ili; Vi mokos cxiujn popolojn.

⁸But thou, Jehovah, wilt laugh at them; thou wilt have all the nations in derision.

⁹Ho mia forto, al Vi mi min turnas; CXar Dio estas mia rifugxo.

⁹Their strength! ... I will take heed to thee; for God is my high fortress.

¹⁰Mia bona Dio rapidos al mi; Dio vidigos al mi vengxon sur miaj malamikoj.

¹⁰God, whose loving-kindness will come to meet me, -- God shall let me see [my desire] upon mine enemies.

¹¹Ne mortigu ilin, por ke ne forgesu mia popolo; Disbatu ilin per Via forto kaj faligu ilin, Ho Sinjoro, nia sxildo.

¹¹Slay them not, lest my people forget; by thy power make them wander, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.

¹²La parolo de iliaj lipoj estas peko de iliaj busxoj; Ili kaptigxu per sia malhumileco, CXar ili parolas nur pri jxurrompo kaj mensogo.

¹²[Because of] the sin of their mouth, the word of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride; and because of cursing and lying which they speak.

¹³Ekstermu ilin en kolerego, ekstermu, ke ili ne plu ekzistu; Kaj ili eksciu, ke Dio regas cxe Jakob, GXis la limoj de la mondo. Sela.

¹³Make an end in wrath, make an end, that they may be no more; that they may know that God ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

¹⁴And in the evening they shall return, they shall howl like a dog, and go round about the city.

¹⁵Ili vagas pro mangxo, Kaj sen satigxo pasigas la nokton.

¹⁵They shall wander about for meat, and stay all night if they be not satisfied.

¹⁶Sed mi kantos Vian forton, Kaj matene mi gloros Vian bonecon; CXar Vi estis por mi defendo kaj rifugxo En la tago de mia malfelicxo.

¹⁶But as for me, I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy loving-kindness in the morning; for thou hast been to me a high fortress, and a refuge in the day of my trouble.

¹⁷Ho mia forto, al Vi mi kantos; CXar Dio estas mia defendo, la Dio de mia favoro.

¹⁷Unto thee, my strength, will I sing psalms; for God is my high fortress, the God of my mercy.
