1{To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' A Psalm of Asaph: a Song.} Unto thee we give thanks, O God, we give thanks; and thy name is near: thy marvellous works declare it.
2Kiam Mi elektos tempon, Mi faros justan jugxon.
2When I shall receive the assembly, I will judge with equity.
3Tremas la tero kaj cxiuj gxiaj logxantoj; Mi fortikigis gxiajn kolonojn. Sela.
3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have established its pillars. Selah.
4Mi diras al la fanfaronuloj:Ne fanfaronu; Kaj al la malvirtuloj:Ne levu kornon;
4I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
5Ne levu supren vian kornon, Ne parolu kun nefleksebla kolo;
5Lift not up your horn on high; speak not arrogantly with a [stiff] neck.
6CXar ne de oriento kaj ne de okcidento Kaj ne de la dezerto venas alteco.
6For not from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the south doth exaltation [come]:
7Nur Dio estas jugxanto; Unu homon Li malaltigas, kaj alian Li altigas.
7For God is the judge; he putteth down one and exalteth another.
8CXar la pokalo estas en la mano de la Eternulo, Kaj la vino sxauxmas, plena de aromajxo, kaj Li versxas el gxi; Sed nur gxian fecxon elsucxos kaj trinkos cxiuj malvirtuloj de la tero.
8For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and it foameth with wine, it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof shall all the wicked of the earth drain off, [and] drink.
9Kaj mi eterne predikos, Mi kantos al la Dio de Jakob.
9But as for me, I will declare for ever; I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob.
10Kaj cxiujn kornojn de la malvirtuloj mi rompos; Altigxos la kornoj de virtulo.
10And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
