¹O ùGod of vengeances, Jehovah, ùGod of vengeances, shine forth;

²Levigxu, Jugxanto de la tero; Redonu la meritajxon al la fieruloj.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth, render the reward to the proud.

³Kiel longe la malvirtuloj, ho Eternulo, Kiel longe la malvirtuloj triumfos?

³How long shall the wicked, O Jehovah, how long shall the wicked triumph?

⁴Ili estas malhumilaj, parolas arogantajxon; Fanfaronas cxiuj malbonaguloj.

⁴[How long] shall they utter [and] speak insolence -- all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

⁵Vian popolon, ho Eternulo, ili premas, Kaj Vian heredon ili turmentas.

⁵They crush thy people, O Jehovah, and afflict thine inheritance;

⁶Vidvinon kaj fremdulon ili mortigas, Kaj orfojn ili bucxas.

⁶They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,

⁷Kaj ili diras:La Eternulo ne vidas, Kaj la Dio de Jakob ne scias.

⁷And say, Jah will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [it].

⁸Komprenu, senprudentuloj en la popolo; Kaj vi, malsagxuloj, kiam vi sagxigxos?

⁸Understand, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁹CXu ne auxdas Tiu, kiu arangxis orelon? CXu ne vidas Tiu, kiu kreis okulon?

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰CXu ne punas la gxustiganto de la popoloj, Kiu instruas al homo scion?

¹⁰He that instructeth the nations, shall not he correct -- he that teacheth man knowledge?

¹¹La Eternulo scias la pensojn de homo, Ke ili estas vantaj.

¹¹Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

¹²Bone estas al la homo, kiun Vi, ho Eternulo, gxustigas, Kaj al kiu Vi instruas Vian legxon,

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jah, and whom thou teachest out of thy law;

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹⁴For Jehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;

¹⁵CXar jugxo revenos al vero, Kaj gxin sekvos cxiuj virtkoruloj.

¹⁵For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶Kiu helpas min kontraux malbonuloj? Kiu staras apud mi kontraux malbonaguloj?

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁷Se la Eternulo ne estus mia helpanto, Mia animo preskaux kusxus jam silenta.

¹⁷If Jehovah had not been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁸Kiam mi diris, ke mia piedo sxanceligxas, Via boneco, ho Eternulo, min subtenis.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth, thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

¹⁹Kiam mi havas interne multe da maltrankvilaj pensoj, Viaj konsoloj karesas mian animon.

¹⁹In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me thy comforts have delighted my soul.

²⁰CXu aligxos al Vi trono de maljusteco, Kiu arangxas maljustajxon en la nomo de la legxo?

²⁰Shall the throne of wickedness be united to thee, which frameth mischief into a law?

²¹Ili sin armas kontraux la animo de virtulo, Kaj sangon senkulpan ili akuzas.

²¹They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

²²Sed la Eternulo estos mia rifugxejo; Kaj mia Dio estos la roko de mia sxirmo.

²²But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge.

²³Kaj Li redonos al ili por iliaj malbonagoj, Kaj por ilia malboneco Li ilin ekstermos; Ilin ekstermos la Eternulo, nia Dio.

²³And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.
