¹Kaj mi rigardis, kiam la SXafido malfermis unu el la sep sigeloj, kaj mi auxdis unu el la kvar kreitajxoj dirantan kvazaux per vocxo de tondro:Venu.

¹And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as a voice of thunder, Come [and see].

²Kaj mi rigardis, kaj jen blanka cxevalo, kaj la sidanta sur gxi havis pafarkon; kaj estis donita al li krono; kaj li eliris venkanta, kaj por venki.

²And I saw: and behold, a white horse, and he that sat upon it having a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and that he might conquer.

³Kaj kiam li malfermis la duan sigelon, mi auxdis la duan kreitajxon dirantan:Venu.

³And when it opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come [and see].

⁴Kaj eliris alia cxevalo, flamkolora; kaj al la sidanta sur gxi estis donite forpreni pacon de la tero, kaj ke oni mortigu unu la alian; kaj al li estis donita granda glavo.

⁴And another, a red horse, went forth; and to him that sat upon it, to him it was given to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another; and there was given to him a great sword.

⁵Kaj kiam li malfermis la trian sigelon, mi auxdis la trian kreitajxon dirantan:Venu. Kaj mi rigardis, kaj jen nigra cxevalo; kaj la sidanta sur gxi havis en la mano pesilon.

⁵And when it opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come [and see]. And I saw: and behold, a black horse, and he that sat upon it having a balance in his hand.

⁶Kaj mi auxdis kvazaux vocxon, meze de la kvar kreitajxoj, dirantan:Mezuro da tritiko por denaro, kaj tri mezuroj da hordeo por denaro; kaj la oleon kaj la vinon ne difektu.

⁶And I heard as a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius: and do not injure the oil and the wine.

⁷Kaj kiam li malfermis la kvaran sigelon, mi auxdis la vocxon de la kvara kreitajxo dirantan:Venu.

⁷And when it opened the fourth seal, I heard [the voice of] the fourth living creature saying, Come [and see].

⁸Kaj mi rigardis, kaj jen pala cxevalo; kaj la nomo de la sidanta sur gxi estis Morto; kaj Hades sekvis kun li. Kaj estis donita al ili auxtoritato super kvarono de la tero, por mortigi per glavo kaj per malsato kaj per morto kaj per la sovagxaj bestoj de la tero.

⁸And I saw: and behold, a pale horse, and he that sat upon it, his name [was] Death, and hades followed with him; and authority was given to him over the fourth of the earth to slay with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

⁹Kaj kiam li malfermis la kvinan sigelon, mi vidis sub la altaro la animojn de la mortigitaj pro la vorto de Dio kaj pro la atesto, kiun ili havadis;

⁹And when it opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held;

¹⁰kaj ili kriis per granda vocxo, dirante:GXis kiam, ho Estro, la sankta kaj vera, Vi ne jugxas kaj ne vengxas nian sangon al la logxantoj sur la tero?

¹⁰and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O sovereign Ruler, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell upon the earth?

¹¹Kaj estis donita al cxiu el ili blanka robo; kaj estis dirite al ili, ke ili atendu ankoraux kelkan tempon, gxis ankaux iliaj kunservistoj kaj iliaj fratoj, mortigotaj kiel ili mem, plensumigxos.

¹¹And there was given to them, to each one a white robe; and it was said to them that they should rest yet a little while, until both their fellow-bondmen and their brethren, who were about to be killed as they, should be fulfilled.

¹²Kaj mi rigardis, kiam li malfermis la sesan sigelon, kaj farigxis granda tertremo; kaj la suno farigxis nigra kiel sakajxo el haroj, kaj la tuta luno farigxis kiel sango;

¹²And I saw when it opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as hair sackcloth, and the whole moon became as blood,

¹³kaj la steloj de la cxielo falis sur la teron, kiel figarbo, skuate de forta vento, jxetas siajn nematurajn figojn.

¹³and the stars of heaven fell upon the earth, as a fig tree, shaken by a great wind, casts its unseasonable figs.

¹⁴Kaj la cxielo formovigxis, kvazaux kunvolvata libro; kaj cxiu monto kaj cxiu insulo formovigxis de sia loko.

¹⁴And the heaven was removed as a book rolled up, and every mountain and island were removed out of their places.

¹⁵Kaj la regxoj de la tero kaj la granduloj kaj la milestroj kaj la ricxuloj kaj la fortuloj kaj cxiu sklavo kaj cxiu liberulo sin kasxis en la kavernoj kaj inter la rokoj de la montoj;

¹⁵And the kings of the earth, and the great, and the chiliarchs, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains;

¹⁶kaj ili diris al la montoj kaj al la rokoj:Falu sur nin, kaj nin kasxu for de la vizagxo de la Sidanto sur la trono, kaj for de la kolero de la SXafido;

¹⁶and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and have us hidden from [the] face of him that sits upon the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;

¹⁷cxar venis la granda tago de ilia kolero; kaj kiu povas stari?

¹⁷because the great day of his wrath is come, and who is able to stand?
