¹Kaj kiam li malfermis la sepan sigelon, farigxis silento en la cxielo por cxirkaux duono de horo.

¹And when it opened the seventh seal, there was silence in the heaven about half an hour.

²Kaj mi vidis la sep angxelojn, kiuj staras antaux Dio; kaj estis donitaj al ili sep trumpetoj.

²And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

³Kaj alia angxelo venis, kaj staris apud la altaro, havante incensilon oran; kaj estis donita al li multe da incenso, por ke li aldonu gxin al la pregxoj de cxiuj sanktuloj sur la altaro ora, kiu estis antaux la trono.

³And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, that he might give [efficacy] to the prayers of all saints at the golden altar which [was] before the throne.

⁴Kaj la fumo de la incenso, kun la pregxoj de la sanktuloj, levigxis antaux Dio el la mano de la angxelo.

⁴And the smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of the saints, out of the hand of the angel before God.

⁵Kaj la angxelo prenis la incensilon, kaj li plenigis gxin per la fajro de la altaro, kaj jxetis gxin sur la teron; kaj farigxis tondroj kaj vocxoj kaj fulmoj kaj tertremo.

⁵And the angel took the censer, and filled it from the fire of the altar, and cast [it] on the earth: and there were voices, and thunders and lightnings, and an earthquake.

⁶Kaj la sep angxeloj, havantaj la sep trumpetojn, sin pretigis, por trumpeti.

⁶And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves that they might sound with [their] trumpets.

⁷Kaj la unua trumpetis, kaj farigxis hajlo kaj fajro, miksitaj kun sango, kaj ili estis jxetitaj sur la teron; kaj triono de la tero forbrulis, kaj triono de la arboj forbrulis, kaj la tuta verda herbo forbrulis.

⁷And the first sounded [his] trumpet: and there was hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

⁸Kaj la dua angxelo trumpetis, kaj kvazaux granda monto, per fajro brulanta, estis jxetita en la maron; kaj triono de la maro farigxis sango;

⁸And the second angel sounded [his] trumpet: and as a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood;

⁹kaj mortis triono de la kreitajxoj en la maro, kiuj havis vivon; kaj triono de la sxipoj pereis.

⁹and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea which had life died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

¹⁰Kaj la tria angxelo trumpetis, kaj falis el la cxielo granda stelo, brulanta kiel torcxo, kaj gxi falis sur trionon de la riveroj kaj sur la fontojn de la akvoj;

¹⁰And the third angel sounded [his] trumpet: and there fell out of the heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters.

¹¹kaj la nomo de la stelo estas Absinto; kaj triono de la akvoj farigxis absintajxo; kaj multe da homoj mortis de la akvoj, cxar ili maldolcxigxis.

¹¹And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died of the waters because they were made bitter.

¹²Kaj la kvara angxelo trumpetis, kaj estis frapita triono de la suno kaj triono de la luno kaj triono de la steloj, por ke mallumigxu triono de ili, kaj ke ne lumu dum triono de la tago, kaj por la nokto tiel same.

¹²And the fourth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so that the third part of them should be darkened, and that the day should not appear [for] the third part of it, and the night the same.

¹³Kaj mi rigardis, kaj mi auxdis unu aglon, flugantan en meza cxielo, dirantan per granda vocxo:Ve! ve! ve al la logxantoj sur la tero, pro la ceteraj vocxoj trumpetaj de la tri angxeloj ankoraux trumpetontaj!

¹³And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to them that dwell upon the earth, for the remaining voices of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound.
