¹Sekve, vi estas nedefendebla, ho cxiu homo jugxanta; cxar dum vi jugxas alian, vi kondamnas vin mem, cxar vi, la jugxanto, faradas la samajn agojn.

¹Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, every one who judgest, for in that in which thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

²Kaj ni scias, ke la jugxo de Dio estas laux vero kontraux tiuj, kiuj faradas tiajn agojn.

²But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who do such things.

³Kaj cxu vi kalkulas, ho homo, kiu jugxas la farantojn de tiaj agoj kaj faras la samajn, ke vi evitos la jugxon de Dio?

³And thinkest thou this, O man, who judgest those that do such things, and practisest them [thyself], that *thou* shalt escape the judgment of God?

⁴Aux cxu vi malestimas la ricxecon de Lia boneco kaj toleremeco kaj pacienco, ne sciante, ke la boneco de Dio alkondukas vin al pento?

⁴or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?

⁵sed laux via obstineco kaj senpenta koro vi amasigas por vi koleron en la tago de kolero kaj malkasxigo de la justa jugxo de Dio,

⁵but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up to thyself wrath, in [the] day of wrath and revelation of [the] righteous judgment of God,

⁶kiu redonos al cxiu homo laux liaj faroj;

⁶who shall render to each according to his works:

⁷al tiuj, kiuj per pacienco en bonfarado celas al gloro kaj honoro kaj senmorteco, eternan vivon;

⁷to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.

⁸sed al tiuj, kiuj estas malpacemaj kaj ne obeas al la vero, sed obeas al maljusteco, koleron kaj indignon,

⁸But to those that are contentious, and are disobedient to the truth, but obey unrighteousness, [there shall be] wrath and indignation,

⁹aflikton kaj maltrankvilon, sur cxiun animon de homo, kiu faras malbonon, de Judo unue kaj de Greko;

⁹tribulation and distress, on every soul of man that works evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;

¹⁰sed gloron kaj honoron kaj pacon al cxiu, kiu faras bonon, al Judo unue kaj al Greko;

¹⁰but glory and honour and peace to every one that works good, both to Jew first and to Greek:

¹¹cxar ne estas personfavorado cxe Dio.

¹¹for there is no acceptance of persons with God.

¹²CXar cxiu, kiu pekis sen legxo, ankaux pereos sen legxo; kaj cxiu, kiu pekis sub legxo, estos jugxata per legxo;

¹²For as many as have sinned without law shall perish also without law; and as many as have sinned under law shall be judged by law,

¹³cxar ne la auxskultantoj de legxo estos justaj antaux Dio, sed la plenumantoj de legxo estos pravigitaj

¹³(for not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

¹⁴cxar kiam la nacianoj, kiuj ne havas la legxon, faras nature la aferojn de la legxo, cxi tiuj, ne havante legxon, estas legxo por si mem;

¹⁴For when [those of the] nations, which have no law, practise by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law to themselves;

¹⁵kiuj elmontras la faradon de la legxo skribita en iliaj koroj, kiam ilia konscienco kunatestas, kaj iliaj rezonadoj inter si akuzas aux defendas ilin.)

¹⁵who shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts accusing or else excusing themselves between themselves;)

¹⁶en la tago, kiam Dio jugxos la sekretojn de homoj, laux mia evangelio, per Jesuo Kristo.

¹⁶in [the] day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my glad tidings, by Jesus Christ.

¹⁷Sed se vi estas nomata Judo, kaj apogas vin sur la legxon, kaj fieras pri Dio,

¹⁷But if *thou* art named a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast in God,

¹⁸kaj konas Lian volon, kaj aprobas la aprobindajxojn, kaj estas instruita el la legxo,

¹⁸and knowest the will, and discerningly approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

¹⁹kaj estas konvinkita, ke vi mem estas gvidanto por la blinduloj, lumo por tiuj, kiuj estas en mallumo,

¹⁹and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of the blind, a light of those who [are] in darkness,

²⁰edukanto por la senprudentuloj, instruanto por infanoj, havante en la legxo la formon de la scio kaj la vero;

²⁰an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of truth in the law:

²¹thou then that teachest another, dost thou not teach thyself? thou that preachest not to steal, dost thou steal?

²²vi, kiu diras:Ne adultu; cxu vi adultas? vi, kiu abomenas idolojn, cxu vi prirabas templojn?

²²thou that sayest [man should] not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

²³vi, kiu fieras pri la legxo, cxu vi malhonoras Dion per via transpasxo de la legxo?

²³thou who boastest in law, dost thou by transgression of the law dishonour God?

²⁴CXar pro vi, la nomo de Dio estas blasfemata inter la nacianoj, kiel estas skribite.

²⁴For the name of God is blasphemed on your account among the nations, according as it is written.

²⁵CXar cirkumcido vere utilas, se vi estas faranto de la legxo; sed se vi estas pekanto kontraux la legxo, via cirkumcido farigxas necirkumcido.

²⁵For circumcision indeed profits if thou keep [the] law; but if thou be a law-transgressor, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.

²⁶Se do necirkumcidulo plenumas la ordonojn de la legxo, cxu lia necirkumcido ne kalkuligxos kiel cirkumcido?

²⁶If therefore the uncircumcision keep the requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision,

²⁷kaj cxu la lauxnatura necirkumcidulo, se li plenumas la legxon, ne jugxos vin, kiu kun la skribo kaj cirkumcido transpasxas la legxon?

²⁷and uncircumcision by nature, fulfilling the law, judge thee, who, with letter and circumcision, [art] a law-transgressor?

²⁸CXar Judo estas ne tiu, kiu estas ekstere tia, kaj cirkumcido estas ne tio, kio estas tia ekstere en la karno;

²⁸For he is not a Jew who [is] one outwardly, neither that circumcision which is outward in flesh;

²⁹sed Judo estas tiu, kiu estas interne tia, kaj cirkumcido estas en la koro, laux la spirito, ne laux la litero, kies lauxdo estas ne de homoj, sed de Dio.

²⁹but he [is] a Jew [who is so] inwardly; and circumcision, of the heart, in spirit, not in letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God.
