¹Kaj mi, fratoj, venante al vi, venis ne kun supereco de parolo aux de sagxeco, proklamante al vi la misteron de Dio.

¹When I came to you, brothers, I didn’t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

²CXar mi decidis scii cxe vi nenion, krom Jesuo Kristo kaj tiu krucumita.

²For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

³Kaj mi estis cxe vi en malforteco kaj en timo kaj en multa tremado.

³I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

⁴Kaj mia parolo kaj mia prediko estis ne en allogaj paroloj de sagxeco, sed en elmontro de la Spirito kaj potenco,

⁴My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

⁵por ke via fido estu ne laux la sagxeco de homoj, sed laux la potenco de Dio.

⁵that your faith wouldn’t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

⁶Tamen ni parolas sagxecon inter plenagxuloj, sed sagxecon ne de cxi tiu mondo, nek de la regantoj de cxi tiu mondo, kiuj neniigxas;

⁶We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown; yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing.

⁷sed ni parolas la sagxecon de Dio en mistero, la sagxecon kasxitan, kiun Dio antauxdestinis antaux la mondagxoj por nia glorado;

⁷But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,

⁸kaj kiun scias neniu el la regantoj de cxi tiu mondo; cxar se ili gxin scius, ili ne krucumus la Sinjoron de gloro;

⁸which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory.

⁹sed kiel estas skribite: Tion, kion okulo ne vidis kaj orelo ne auxdis, Kaj kio en la koron de homo ne eniris, Dio preparis por tiuj, kiuj Lin amas.

⁹But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.” Isaiah 64:4

¹⁰Sed al ni Dio malkasxis ilin per la Spirito; cxar la Spirito esploras cxion, ecx la profundajxojn de Dio.

¹⁰But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

¹¹CXar kiu inter homoj scias la aferojn de iu homo, krom la spirito de la homo, kiu estas en li? tiel same la aferojn de Dio scias neniu, krom la Spirito de Dio.

¹¹For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit.

¹²Sed ni ricevis ne la spiriton de la mondo, sed la spiriton, kiu estas de Dio; por ke ni sciu tion, al ni donacitan de Dio.

¹²But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

¹³Pri kio ankaux ni parolas per vortoj, ne kiujn instruas homa sagxeco, sed kiujn instruas la Spirito; komparante spiritajn kun spiritaj.

¹³Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

¹⁴Sed la natura homo ne akceptas la aferojn de la Spirito de Dio; cxar ili estas por li malsagxeco; kaj li ne povas ilin scii, pro tio, ke ili estas jugxataj spirite.

¹⁴Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁵Sed la spirita homo jugxas cxion, kaj li mem estas jugxata de neniu.

¹⁵But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.

¹⁶CXar kiu sciis la menson de la Eternulo, ke li instruu Lin? Sed ni havas la menson de Kristo.

¹⁶“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” Isaiah 40:13 But we have Christ’s mind.
