¹En la komenco de la regxado de Jehojakim, filo de Josxija, regxo de Judujo, aperis de la Eternulo jena vorto al Jeremia:

¹In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

²Tiele diras al mi la Eternulo:Faru al vi ligilojn kaj jugon, kaj metu tion sur vian kolon;

²Thus says Yahweh to me: Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck;

³kaj sendu tion al la regxo de Edom kaj al la regxo de Moab kaj al la regxo de la Amonidoj kaj al la regxo de Tiro kaj al la regxo de Cidon, per la senditoj, kiuj venis Jerusalemon al Cidkija, regxo de Judujo;

³and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;

⁴kaj komisiu al ili, ke ili diru al siaj sinjoroj jene:Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot, Dio de Izrael:Tiele diru al viaj sinjoroj:

⁴and give them a command to their masters, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, You shall tell your masters:

⁵Per Mia granda forto kaj per Mia etendita brako Mi kreis la teron, la homojn kaj la bestojn, kiuj estas sur la tero; kaj Mi donas tion al tiu, kiu placxas al Mi.

⁵I have made the earth, the men and the animals that are on the surface of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it to whom it seems right to me.

⁶Kaj nun Mi transdonas cxiujn tiujn landojn en la manon de Mia servanto Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel, kaj ecx la bestojn de la kampo Mi transdonas al li, por ke ili servu al li.

⁶Now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the animals of the field also have I given him to serve him.

⁷Kaj servos al li cxiuj popoloj, ankaux al lia filo kaj al la filo de lia filo, gxis venos la tempo ankaux por lia lando kaj lin sklavigos potencaj popoloj kaj grandaj regxoj.

⁷All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant.

⁸Kaj se ia popolo kaj regno ne servos al li, al Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel, kaj ne metos sian kolon sub la jugon de la regxo de Babel, Mi punos tiun popolon per glavo kaj malsato kaj pesto, diras la Eternulo, gxis Mi ekstermos ilin per lia mano.

⁸It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says Yahweh, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

⁹Ne auxskultu do viajn profetojn, nek viajn magiistojn, nek viajn songxoklarigistojn, nek viajn auxguristojn, nek viajn sorcxistojn, kiuj diras al vi jene:Ne servu al la regxo de Babel.

⁹But as for you, don’t you listen to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon:

¹⁰CXar ili profetas al vi malverajxon, por malproksimigi vin de via lando, por ke Mi elpelu vin kaj vi pereu.

¹⁰for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish.

¹¹Sed tiun popolon, kiu metos sian kolon sub la jugon de la regxo de Babel kaj servos al li, tiun Mi restigos trankvile sur gxia tero, diras la Eternulo, por prilaboradi gxin kaj logxi sur gxi.

¹¹But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, says Yahweh; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

¹²Kaj al Cidkija, regxo de Judujo, mi diris tiajn samajn vortojn, nome:Metu vian kolon sub la jugon de la regxo de Babel, kaj servu al li kaj al lia popolo, kaj restu vivantaj.

¹²I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

¹³Por kio vi volus morti, vi kaj via popolo, de glavo, de malsato, kaj de pesto, kiel la Eternulo decidis pri popolo, kiu ne servos al la regxo de Babel?

¹³Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

¹⁴Ne auxskultu la vortojn de la profetoj, kiuj diras al vi, ke vi ne servu al la regxo de Babel; cxar ili profetas al vi malverajxon.

¹⁴Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

¹⁵CXar Mi ne sendis ilin, diras la Eternulo, kaj ili malvere profetas en Mia nomo, por ke Mi elpelu vin, kaj por ke vi pereu, vi kaj la profetoj, kiuj profetas al vi.

¹⁵For I have not sent them, says Yahweh, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.

¹⁶Kaj al la pastroj kaj al la tuta cxi tiu popolo mi diris jene:Tiele diras la Eternulo:Ne auxskultu la vortojn de viaj profetoj, kiuj profetas al vi jene:Jen la vazoj de la domo de la Eternulo nun baldaux estos revenigitaj el Babel; cxar malverajxon ili profetas al vi.

¹⁶Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

¹⁷Ne auxskultu ilin; servu al la regxo de Babel, por ke vi vivu; por kio cxi tiu urbo farigxu dezerto?

¹⁷Don’t listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city become a desolation?

¹⁸Se ili estas profetoj kaj se ili havas la vorton de la Eternulo, ili elpetegu de la Eternulo Cebaot, ke la vazoj, kiuj restis en la domo de la Eternulo kaj en la domo de la regxo de Judujo kaj en Jerusalem, ne transiru en Babelon.

¹⁸But if they be prophets, and if the word of Yahweh be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

¹⁹CXar tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot pri la kolonoj, pri la maro, pri la bazoj, kaj pri la ceteraj vazoj, kiuj restis en cxi tiu urbo

¹⁹For thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,

²⁰kaj kiujn ne prenis Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel, kiam li forkondukis Jehxonjan, filon de Jehojakim, regxon de Judujo, el Jerusalem en Babelon, kaj ankaux cxiujn eminentulojn de Judujo kaj Jerusalem;

²⁰which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

²¹tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot, Dio de Izrael, pri la vazoj, kiuj restis en la domo de la Eternulo kaj en la domo de la regxo de Judujo kaj en Jerusalem:

²¹yes, thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:

²²En Babelon ili estos forportitaj, kaj tie ili restos, gxis la tago, kiam Mi rememoros ilin, diras la Eternulo, kaj prenigos kaj reportigos ilin sur cxi tiun lokon.

²²They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, says Yahweh; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
