¹Ijob respondis al la Eternulo, kaj diris:

¹Then Job answered Yahweh,

²Mi scias, ke Vi cxion povas fari, Kaj ke nenio, kion Vi entreprenas, estas malfacila por Vi.

²“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.

³Kiu estas tiu, kiu kovras malkompetente la plej altan decidon? Jes, mi parolis sen komprenado pri aferoj, Kiuj estas tro misteraj por mi, kaj kiujn mi ne konas.

³You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I didn’t know.

⁴Auxskultu, kaj mi parolos; Mi demandos Vin, kaj Vi sciigu al mi.

⁴You said, ‘Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.’

⁵Nur per la oreloj mi auxdis pri Vi; Sed nun mia okulo Vin vidis.

⁵I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.

⁶Tial mi faras al mi riprocxon, Kaj mi pentas en polvo kaj cindro.

⁶Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

⁷Post kiam la Eternulo parolis tiujn vortojn al Ijob, la Eternulo diris al Elifaz, la Temanano:Mia kolero ekflamis kontraux vi kaj kontraux viaj du amikoj, pro tio, ke vi ne parolis antaux Mi tiel gxuste, kiel Mia servanto Ijob.

⁷It was so, that after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.

⁸Prenu do nun al vi sep bovojn kaj sep sxafojn, kaj iru al Mia servanto Ijob, kaj alportu bruloferon pro vi; kaj Mia servanto Ijob pregxos por vi; cxar nur lin Mi atentos, por ne fari al vi punon pro tio, ke vi ne parolis antaux Mi tiel gxuste, kiel Mia servanto Ijob.

⁸Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.”

⁹Kaj iris Elifaz, la Temanano, kaj Bildad, la SXuhxano, kaj Cofar, la Naamano, kaj faris tion, kion diris al ili la Eternulo. Kaj la Eternulo atentis Ijobon.

⁹So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Yahweh commanded them, and Yahweh accepted Job.

¹⁰Kaj la Eternulo redonis la forprenitajxon al Ijob, kiam li pregxis por siaj amikoj. Kaj la Eternulo donis al Ijob duoble pli ol cxio, kion li havis antauxe.

¹⁰Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.

¹¹Kaj venis al li cxiuj liaj fratoj kaj cxiuj liaj fratinoj kaj cxiuj liaj antauxaj konatoj, kaj ili mangxis kun li en lia domo, kaj esprimis al li sian kunsenton, kaj konsolis lin pri la tuta malbono, kiun la Eternulo venigis sur lin; kaj cxiu el ili donis al li po unu kesito, kaj cxiu po unu ora ringo.

¹¹Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, literally, kesitah, a unit of money, probably silver and everyone a ring of gold.

¹²Kaj la Eternulo benis la lastajn jarojn de Ijob pli ol la komencajn; kaj li havis dek kvar mil sxafojn kaj ses mil kamelojn kaj mil parojn da bovoj kaj mil azeninojn.

¹²So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.

¹³Kaj li havis sep filojn kaj tri filinojn.

¹³He had also seven sons and three daughters.

¹⁴Al unu el cxi tiuj li donis al nomon Jemima, al la dua la nomon Kecia, kaj al la tria la nomon Keren-Hapuhx.

¹⁴He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch.

¹⁵Kaj en la tuta lando ne trovigxis virinoj tiel belaj, kiel la filinoj de Ijob; kaj ilia patro donis al ili heredan posedajxon inter iliaj fratoj.

¹⁵In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

¹⁶Kaj post tio Ijob vivis cent kvardek jarojn, kaj li vidis siajn filojn kaj nepojn gxis la kvara generacio.

¹⁶After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, to four generations.

¹⁷Kaj Ijob mortis, maljuna kaj satigxinta de la vivo.

¹⁷So Job died, being old and full of days.
