¹ઈસુએ કેટલાએક ધનવાન લોકોને મંદિરમાં પૈસાની પેટીમાં દેવની ભેટો મૂકતાં જોયો.

¹He looked up, and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.

²પછી ઈસુએ એક ગરીબ વિધવાને જોઈ, તેણે બે નાના તાંબાના સિક્કા પેટીમાં મૂક્યા.

²He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins. literally, “two lepta.” 2 lepta was about 1% of a day’s wages for an agricultural laborer.

³ઈસુએ કહ્યું કે, “હું તમને સાચું કહું છું, આ ગરીબ વિધવાએ ફક્ત બે નાના સિક્કા આપ્યા છે. પણ ખરેખર તો તેણે પેલા બધાજ પૈસાદાર લોકો કરતાં વધારે આપ્યું છે.

³He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,

⁴ધનવાન લોકો પાસે પુષ્કળ છે, તેઓએ તો ફક્ત તેમની પાસે જે વધારાનું છે તેમાંથી જ આપ્યું છે. આ સ્ત્રી ઘણી ગરીબ છે. પણ તેણે તેની પાસે હતું તે બધું જ આપ્યું છે. અને તે પૈસા તેના જીવનમાં સહાય માટે જરૂરી હતા.”

⁴ for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”

⁵કેટલાએક લોકો મંદિર વિષે વાતો કરતા હતા. તેઓએ કહ્યું, “આ એક સુંદર મંદિર ઉત્તમ પથ્થરોથી બાંધેલું છે. દેવને દાનમાં અપાયેલ ઘણી સુંદર ભેટો તો જુઓ!”

⁵As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,

⁶પણ ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “સમય આવશે ત્યારે તમે જે બધું અહી જુઓ છો તેનો નાશ થશે. આ મકાનનો પ્રત્યેક પથ્થર જમીન પર પાડી નાખવામાં આવશે, એક પણ પથ્થર બીજા પથ્થર પર રહેવા દેવામાં આવશે નહિ!

⁶ “As for these things which you see, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”

⁷કેટલાએક શિષ્યોએ ઈસુને કહ્યું કે, “ઉપદેશક, આ વસ્તુઓ ક્યારે બનશે? આપણને કેવી રીતે ખબર પડશે કે તે થવાનો સમય આવ્યો છે?”

⁷They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”

⁸ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “સાવધાન રહો! કોઈ તમને મુર્ખ ન બનાવે. ઘણા લોકો મારા નામે આવશે, તેઓ કહેશે, ‘હું ખ્રિસ્ત છું’ અને ‘ખરો સમય આવ્યો છે!’ પણ તમે તેઓને અનુસરશો નહિ.

⁸He said, “Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he or, I AM ,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.

⁹જ્યારે તમે યુદ્ધો તથા હુલ્લડોની અફવાઓ સાંભળો ત્યારે બીશો નહિ. આ બાબતો પ્રથમ બનશે પણ તેનો અંત પાછળથી આવશે.”

⁹ When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”

¹⁰પછી ઈસુએ તેમને કહ્યું, “એક રાષ્ટ્ર બીજા રાષ્ટ્ર સાથે લડશે. એક રાજ્ય બીજા રાજ્યની સામે લડશે.

¹⁰Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

¹¹ત્યાં મોટા ધરતીકંપ, મંદવાડ અને દુ:ખલાયક બાબતો ઘણી જગ્યાએ થશે. બીજી કેટલીક જગ્યાએ તો લોકોને ખાવા માટે ભોજન પણ નહિ હોય, ભયંકર બનાવો બનશે. આકાશમાંથી આશ્ચર્યજનક વસ્તુઓ લોકોને ચેતવણી આપવા આવશે.

¹¹ There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

¹²“પરંતુ આ બધી વસ્તુઓ બનતા પહેલાં, લોકો તમને પકડશે અને તમારું અહિત કરશે. લોકો તેમની સભાસ્થાનોમાં તમારો ન્યાય કરશે. અને તમને કેદ કરશે, તમને જબરજસ્તી રાજાઓ અને શાસનકર્તાઓ સમક્ષ ઊભા રાખવામાં આવશે. તમે મને અનુસરો છો તેથી લોકો તમારી સામે આ બધું કરશે.

¹² But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

¹³પણ આ તમને મારા વિષે કહેવાની તક આપશે.

¹³ It will turn out as a testimony for you.

¹⁴બચાવ માટે તમારે શું કહેવું તેની પણ જરાય ચિંતા કરશો નહિ.

¹⁴ Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,

¹⁵તમારો કોઈ પણ દુશ્મન ઉત્તર ન આપી શકે તેવુ કહેવા માટે બુદ્ધિ હું તમને આપીશ.

¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.

¹⁶માતાપિતા, ભાઈઓ, સંબંધીઓ અને મિત્રો પણ તારી વિરૂદ્ધ થશે. તેઓ તમારામાંના કેટલાકને મારી નાખશે.

¹⁶ You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.

¹⁷બધા માણસો તમને ધિક્કારશે કારણ કે તમે મને અનુસરો છો.

¹⁷ You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.

¹⁸પણ આમાંની કોઈ પણ વસ્તુ તમને ખરેખર નુકશાન કરી શકશે નહિ.

¹⁸ And not a hair of your head will perish.

¹⁹જો તમે તમારા વિશ્વાસમાં મક્કમ રહેશો તો આ બધામાંથી તમારી જાતને બચાવી લેશો.

¹⁹ “By your endurance you will win your lives.

²⁰“તમે યરૂશાલેમની ચારે બાજુએ લશ્કર જોશો. પછી તમે જાણશો કે યરૂશાલેમનો વિનાશ થવાનો સમય આવ્યો છે.

²⁰ “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.

²¹તે વખતે યહૂદિયામાં જે લોકો છે તે પહાડોમાં નાશી જાય. જેઓ યરૂશાલેમમાં હોય તેઓએ જલ્દી છોડી જવું. જો તમે યરૂશાલેમ નજીકના પ્રદેશમાં હો તો શહેરની અંદર જશો નહિ.

²¹ Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the midst of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein.

²²પ્રબોધકોએ જ્યારે દેવ તેના લોકોને શિક્ષા કરશે તે આ સમયની બાબતમાં ઘણું બધું લખ્યું છે. તે આ સમય છે. જ્યારે આ બધું પરિપૂર્ણ થાય.

²² For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

²³તે વખતે જેઓ ગર્ભવતી હશે અથવા જેને નાનાં દુધ પીતા બાશકો છે તે તેમના માટે દુ:દાયક છે! શા માટે? કારણ કે આ ભૂમિ પર વધારે વિપત્તિનો સમય આવશે. દેવ આ લોકો પર ગુસ્સે થશે.

²³ Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.

²⁴કેટલાએક લોકો સૈનિકો દ્ધારા મૃત્યુ પામશે. બીજા લોકોને કેદી તરીકે રાખશે અને બધાજ દેશોમાં લઈ જવાશે. ફક્ત યરૂશાલેમ તેઓનો સમય પૂરો નહિ થાય ત્યાં સુધી બિન યબૂદિઓથી પગ તળે ખૂંદી નંખાશે.

²⁴ They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

²⁵“સૂર્ય, ચંદ્ર અને તારાઓ સાથે આશ્ચર્યજનક ઘટનાઓ બનશે. પૃથ્વી પરના લોકો ફસાયાની લાગણી અનુભવશે. સમુદ્ધોમાં ગર્જના તોફાન સજાર્શે. અને લોકો તેનું કારણ સમજી શકશે નહિ.

²⁵ There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;

²⁶લોકો પૃથ્વી પર શું થશે તેની અતિશય ચિંતાઓથી ભયભીત થઈ જશે. પૃથ્વી પર જે કંઈ થશે તેનાથી આકાશમાં જે બધું છે તે પણ બદલાઇ જશે.

²⁶ men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

²⁷પછી લોકો માણસના દીકરાને પરાક્રમ સાથે અને મહા મહિમાસહિત વાદળાંમાં આવતો જોશે.

²⁷ Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

²⁸જ્યારે આ ઘટનાઓ બનવા લાગે ત્યારે ઊચે નજર કરો અને ખુશ થાઓ! ચિંતા ના કરો. કારણ કે તમે જાણો છો કે તમારો ઉદ્ધાર થવાનો સમય પાસે આવ્યો છે!”

²⁸ But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”

²⁹પછી ઈસુએ આ વાર્તા કહી કે, “બધા વૃક્ષો તરફ જુઓ. અંજીરનું વૃક્ષ એક સરસ ઉદાહરણ છે.

²⁹He told them a parable. “See the fig tree, and all the trees.

³⁰જ્યારે તે ફૂટવા માંડે છે ત્યારે તમે જાણો છો કે ઉનાળો નજીક છે.

³⁰ When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.

³¹તે જ રીતે આ બધી બાબતો વિષે મેં તમને કહ્યું છે. જ્યારે તમે આ બધી બાબતો બનતી જોશો, ત્યારે તમે જાણી શકશો કે દેવનું રાજ્ય ઘણું જલદી આવી રહ્યું છે.

³¹ Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near.

³²“હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું. આ બધી વસ્તુઓ બનશે ત્યારે આ સમયના લોકો ત્યાં સુધી જીવતા હશે!

³² Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.

³³આખી પૃથ્વી અને આકાશ નાશ પામશે, પણ મેં જે શબ્દો કહ્યા છે તેનો નાશ કદાપિ થશે નહિ!

³³ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.

³⁴“સાવધાન રહો! તમારો સમય ખાવા પીવામાં બગાડો નહિ અથવા દુન્યવી વસ્તુઓની ચિંતા ના કરો. જો તમે એમ કરશો તો તમે સાચો વિચાર કરી શકશો નહિ. અને પછી જો એકાએક અંત આવી પહોંચશે ત્યારે તમે તૈયાર નહિ હોય.

³⁴ “So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

³⁵પૃથ્વી પરના તમામ લોકો માટે તે આશ્ચર્યજનક રીતે આવશે.

³⁵ For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.

³⁶તેથી હર વખત તૈયાર રહો. અને પ્રાર્થના કરો કે આ બધું જે થવાનું છે તેમાંથી તમારી જાતને સુરક્ષિત રીતે પસાર થવા તથા માણસના દીકરા સમક્ષ ઊભા રહેવાને તમે પ્રબળ થાઓ.”

³⁶ Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

³⁷દિવસ દરમ્યાન, ઈસુ લોકોને મંદિરમાં બોધ આપતો, રાત્રે તે શહેરની બહાર જતોં અને આખી રાત જૈતૂનના પહાડ પર રહેતો.

³⁷Every day Jesus was teaching in the temple, and every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain that is called Olivet.

³⁸[This verse may not be a part of this translation]

³⁸All the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
