¹ઈસુએ મંદિર છોડયું અને ચાલતો હતો, ત્યારે શિષ્યો તેની પાસે આવ્યા. તેઓ તેને મંદિર બતાવવા લાગ્યા.

¹ Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.

²ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “તમે આ બધું જુઓ છો? હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું, આ બધું તોડી પાડવામાં આવશે.એક પથ્થર પર બીજો પથ્થર રહેવા દેવામા આવશે નહિ. અને એક એક પથ્થરને જમીનદોસ્ત કરવામાં આવશે.”

² But he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”

³પછી ઈસુ જૈતૂન પર્વત પર બેઠો હતો ત્યારે શિષ્યો તેની સાથે એકાંત માટે આવ્યા અને પૂછયું એ બધું ક્યારે બનશે? અને “અમને કહે કે તારા આગમનની અને જગતના અંતની નિશાનીઓ શું હશે?”

³As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”

⁴ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “સાવધાન રહો! તમને કોઈ ગેરમાર્ગે ન દોરે.

⁴Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

⁵ઘણા લોકો આવશે અને મારા નામનો ઉપયોગ કરશે અને કહેશે, ‘હું જ ખ્રિસ્ત છું.’ અને તેઓ ઘણા લોકોને છેતરશે.

⁵ For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray.

⁶પણ તમે લડાઈઓ વિષે અને લડાઈઓની અફવાઓ વિષે સાંભળશો ત્યારે તમે ગભરાશો નહિ. એ બધું જ અંત પહેલા બનવાનું છે અને ભબિષ્યનો અંત હજી બાકી છે.

⁶ You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁷રાષ્ટ્ર બીજા રાષ્ટ્રોની સામે અને રાજ્યો બીજા રાજ્યોની વિરૂદ્ધ ઊઠશે. અને એક સમય એવો આવશે કે લોકોને ખાવા માટે ખોરાક પણ નહિ હોય અને જુદા જુદા વિસ્તારોમાં ધરતીકંપ થશે.

⁷ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.

⁸પણ એ બધાં તો દુ:ખોનો આરંભ જ છે.

⁸ But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.

⁹“આ સમયે તમને શિક્ષા માટે સુપ્રત કરવામાં આવશે અને તમને મારી નાંખશે કારણ કે તમે મારા શિષ્યો છો. બધા જ રાષ્ટ્રો તમારો તિરસ્કાર કરશે.

⁹ Then they will deliver you up to oppression, and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name’s sake.

¹⁰આ સમયે ઘણા લોકોનો વિશ્વાસ ડગી જશે. એકબીજાની સામે થઈ જશે અને એકબીજાનો તિરસ્કાર કરશે.

¹⁰ Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.

¹¹અનેક જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો નીકળી પડશે અને તેઓ ઘણાને આડે માર્ગે દોરી જશે.

¹¹ Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

¹²અનિષ્ટ સર્વત્ર પ્રસરશે. પરિણામે ઘણાનો પ્રેમ ઠંડો પડી જશે.

¹² Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.

¹³પરંતુ જે કોઈ અંત સુધી ટકશે તે જ તારણ પામશે.

¹³ But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

¹⁴દેવના રાજ્યની સુવાર્તા આખા વિશ્વમાં બધી જ જાતિના લોકોને સંભળાવવામાં આવશે. ત્યારે અંત આવશે.

¹⁴ This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

¹⁵“જેના વિષે દાનિયેલ પ્રબોધકે કહેલું છે કે, ‘એ ભયાનક વિનાશકારી વસ્તુને તમે પવિત્ર જગ્યામાં (મંદિર) ઊભેલી જુઓ.” (વાંચક તેનો અર્થ સમજી લે)

¹⁵ “When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11 which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

¹⁶“ત્યારે જેઓ યહૂદિયામાં રહે છે તેઓને પહાડો તરફ ભાગી જવું પડશે.

¹⁶ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

¹⁷જેઓ ઘરના છાપરાં પર હોય તેઓએ ઘરમાં સરસામાન લેવા જવું નહિ.

¹⁷ Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house.

¹⁸જેઓ ખેતરોમાં હોય તેમણે પોતાના કપડાં લેવા પાછા ઘરે જવું નહિ.

¹⁸ Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes.

¹⁹“એ દિવસોમાં જે ગર્ભવતી સ્ત્રીઓ હશે, અને જેને ધાવણાં બાળકો હશે તેમને માટે દુ:ખદાયક દિવસ હશે.

¹⁹ But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!

²⁰પ્રાર્થના કરો કે તમારે શિયાળાનાં દિવસોમાં કે વિશ્રામવારે ભાગવું ના પડે.

²⁰ Pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath,

²¹એ દિવસોમાં એવી મોટી આપત્તિ આવશે કે સૃષ્ટિ રચી ત્યારથી અત્યાર સુધી કદી આવી નથી. અને ભવિષ્યમાં એવી આપત્તિ આવશે નહિ.

²¹ for then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.

²²“આ ભયંકર આપત્તિના દિવસો લોકોને ખાતર ઓછા કરવામાં આવશે. જો તેમ ન થયું હોત તો કોઈ માણસ બચી શકત નહિ. પરંતુ દેવના પસંદ કરાયેલા માણસો માટે જ આ દિવસો ઘટાડવામાં આવશે.

²² Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

²³“ત્યારે તમને જો કોઈ કહે કે જુઓ, અહીં ‘ખ્રિસ્ત’ છે અથવા તે અહીં છે તો તેનો વિશ્વાસ કરશો નહિ.

²³ “Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it.

²⁴કેમ કે જૂઠા ખ્રિસ્ત તથા જૂઠા પ્રબોધકો ઊભા થશે. અને એવા અદભૂત ચમત્કારો તથા અદભૂત કૃત્યો કરી બતાવશે કે જો બની શકે તો દેવના પસંદ કરેલા લોકોને પણ તેઓ ભુલાવશે.

²⁴ For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

²⁵જુઓ, આ વાત તમને અગાઉથી બાતાવું છું માટે સાવધ રહેજો.

²⁵ “Behold, I have told you beforehand.

²⁶“તેથી કોઈ તમને કહે; ‘ખ્રિસ્ત પેલી ઉજજડ ભૂમીમાં છે!’ પણ તે ઉજજડ પ્રદેશમાં ખ્રિસ્તને જોવા જશો નહિ. કોઈ કહે, ‘ખ્રિસ્ત અમુક ઘરમાં છે તો તે તમે માનશો નહિ.

²⁶ If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it.

²⁷જ્યારે માણસનો દીકરો આવશે ત્યારે આકાશમાં પૂર્વથી પશ્ર્ચિમે ઝબકારા જેવું થશે જે દરેક માણસ જોઈ શકશે. તે પ્રમાણે માણસનો દીકરો પ્રગટ થશે.

²⁷ For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

²⁸જ્યાં મડદાં હશે, ત્યાં ગીધો ભેગાં થશે.

²⁸ For wherever the carcass is, there is where the vultures or, eagles gather together.

²⁹“એ દિવસોમાં જ્યારે વિપત્તિ દૂર થશે કે તરત જ: ‘સૂરજ અંધકારરૂપ થઈ જશે, અને ચંદ્ર તેનું અજવાળું આપશે નહિ. અને તારાઓ આકાશમાંથી ખરી પડશે. આકાશમાં બધુંજ ઘ્રુંજી ઊઠશે.’ યશાયા 13:10; 34:4-5

²⁹ But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; Isaiah 13:10; 34:4

³⁰એ સમયે, માણસના દીકરાના આવવાના સંકેત આકાશમાં જોવા મળશે, તે વખતે પૃથ્વી પરના બધાજ લોકો વિલાપ કરશે અને માણસના દીકરાને પરાક્રમ અને મોટા મહિમાસહિત આકાશના વાદળોમાં આવતો જોશે.

³⁰ and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

³¹માણસનો દીકરો પોતાના દૂતોને પૃથ્વીની ચારે બાજુ મોકલવા મોટા અવાજથી રણશિંગડું ફૂંકશે. દૂતો પૃથ્વીના દરેક ભાગમાંથી પસંદ કરેલા માણસોને ભેગા કરશે.

³¹ He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

³²“અંજીર પરથી બોધપાઠ લો, જ્યારે તેની ડાળી કુમળી હોય છે અને પાંદડાં ફૂટવા લાગે છે ત્યારે તમે સમજી શકો છો કે ઉનાળો પાસે આવ્યો છે.

³² “Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near.

³³તે જ પ્રમાણે, જ્યારે તમે આ બધા જ બનાવો બનતા જુઓ, ત્યારે જાણી લેવું કે એ સમય નજીક આવી રહ્યો છે અને આવવાની તૈયારી છે.

³³ Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

³⁴હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું કે આ પેઢીનાં લોકોના જીવતાં જ આ બધી જ ઘટના બનશે.

³⁴ Most certainly I tell you, this generation The word for “generation” (genea) can also be translated as “race.” will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.

³⁵આખી દુનિયા, પૃથ્વી અને આકાશનો નાશ થશે, પણ મેં તમને જે શબ્દો કહ્યાં છે તેનો કદી વિનાશ નહિ થાય!

³⁵ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

³⁶“પણ એ દિવસ અને કલાક વિષે કોઈ જાણતું નથી. આકાશના દૂતો કે દીકરો કોઈ જાણતું નથી. ફક્ત તે બાપ જ જાણે છે.

³⁶ But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, NU adds “nor the son” but my Father only.

³⁷“નૂહના સમયમાં બન્યું એવું જ માણસના દીકરાના આગમન સમયે બનશે.

³⁷ “As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

³⁸જળપ્રલય થયો તે પહેલા લોકો ખાતાપીતા અને પરણાવતા, આ બધુજ નૂહ વહાણ પર ન ચઢયો ત્યાં સુધી બનતું રહ્યું.

³⁸ For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,

³⁹જળપ્રલય થયો અને બધાને તાણીને લઈ ગયો, ત્યાં સુધી ખબર ન પડી, માણસના દીકરાને આવવાનું થશે, ત્યારે આવું જ બનશે.

³⁹ and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

⁴⁰એ સમયે ખેતરમાં કામ કરતાં બે માણસોમાંથી એકને ઉઠાવી લેવાશે અને બીજો ત્યાં જ છોડી દેવાશે.

⁴⁰ Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left;

⁴¹આ સમયે ઘંટી ચલાવતી બે સ્ત્રીઓમાંથી એક સ્ત્રીને ત્યાંથી ઊઠાવી લેવામાં આવશે અને બીજીને ત્યાંજ પાછળ રહેવા દેવામાં આવશે.

⁴¹ two women grinding at the mill, one will be taken and one will be left.

⁴²“એટલે તમે લોકો સાવધ રહો, કારણ કે તમારો પ્રભુ ક્યારે આવે છે તે તમે જાણતા નથી.

⁴² Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.

⁴³યાદ રાખો કે, જો ઘરના ધણીએ જાણ્યું હોત કે ચોર ક્યા સમયે આવશે તો તે ઘણી સજાગ રહેત અને ચોરને ઘરમાં પ્રવેશ કરવા ન દેત.

⁴³ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

⁴⁴એટલે તમારે પણ તૈયાર રહેવું જોઈએ કારણ માણસનો દીકરો ગમે તે સમયે આવશે, જ્યારે તમને ખબર પણ નહિ પડે.

⁴⁴ Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.

⁴⁵“ધણી પોતાના ઘરના સર્વને નિયત સમયે ખાવાનું આપવા જેને પોતાના ઘરના સેવકો પર અધિકારી નીમે છે એવો શાણો અને વિશ્વાસુ સેવક કોણ છે?

⁴⁵ “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

⁴⁶ધણી જ્યારે આવે ત્યારે જે સેવક આ કામ કરતો દેખાશે તે માણસ સુખી થશે.

⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.

⁴⁷હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું. એવા વફાદાર માણસને ધણી પોતાની તમામ મિલ્કતનો કારભારી બનાવશે.

⁴⁷ Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.

⁴⁸“પણ જો નોકર દુષ્ટ હશે અને વિચારશે કે મારા ધણી તરત જ પાછા નથી આવવાના.

⁴⁸ But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’

⁴⁹પછી તે પોતાના સાથીદાર સેવકોને મારપીટ કરશે. અને તે સેવક બીજા લોકો સાથે તેની જેમ ખાવા પીવા લાગશે.

⁴⁹ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,

⁵⁰પણ તે ચાકરનો ધણી એવો ઓચિંતો આવી પહોંચશે કે તેને તે દિવસની કદી આશા નહિં હોય અને તે સમય વિષે તે જાણતો નહિ હોય.

⁵⁰ the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it, and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,

⁵¹એનો સ્વામી એને ખરાબ રીતે સજા કરશે અને ઢોંગીઓ વચ્ચે તેનું સ્થાન નિશ્ર્ચિત કરશે. જ્યાં લોકો રૂદન કરતાં હશે. દુ:ખની પીડાથી દાંત પીસતાં થશે.

⁵¹ and will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.
