1אלה מסעי בני ישראל אשר יצאו מארץ מצרים לצבאתם ביד משה ואהרן׃
1These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2ויכתב משה את מוצאיהם למסעיהם על פי יהוה ואלה מסעיהם למוצאיהם׃
2And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah; and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3ויסעו מרעמסס בחדש הראשון בחמשה עשר יום לחדש הראשון ממחרת הפסח יצאו בני ישראל ביד רמה לעיני כל מצרים׃
3They journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4ומצרים מקברים את אשר הכה יהוה בהם כל בכור ובאלהיהם עשה יהוה שפטים׃
4And the Egyptians buried those whom Jehovah had smitten among them, all the firstborn; and upon their gods Jehovah executed judgments.
5ויסעו בני ישראל מרעמסס ויחנו בסכת׃
5And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.
6ויסעו מסכת ויחנו באתם אשר בקצה המדבר׃
6And they removed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is at the end of the wilderness.
7ויסעו מאתם וישב על פי החירת אשר על פני בעל צפון ויחנו לפני מגדל׃
7And they removed from Etham, and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.
8ויסעו מפני החירת ויעברו בתוך הים המדברה וילכו דרך שלשת ימים במדבר אתם ויחנו במרה׃
8And they removed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.
9ויסעו ממרה ויבאו אילמה ובאילם שתים עשרה עינת מים ושבעים תמרים ויחנו שם׃
9And they removed from Marah, and came to Elim; and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees, and they encamped there.
10ויסעו מאילם ויחנו על ים סוף׃
10And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.
11ויסעו מים סוף ויחנו במדבר סין׃
11And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
12ויסעו ממדבר סין ויחנו בדפקה׃
12And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.
13ויסעו מדפקה ויחנו באלוש׃
13And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
14ויסעו מאלוש ויחנו ברפידם ולא היה שם מים לעם לשתות׃
14And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
15ויסעו מרפידם ויחנו במדבר סיני׃
15And they removed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.
16ויסעו ממדבר סיני ויחנו בקברת התאוה׃
16And they removed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped at Kibroth-hattaavah.
17ויסעו מקברת התאוה ויחנו בחצרת׃
17And they removed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.
18ויסעו מחצרת ויחנו ברתמה׃
18And they removed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.
19ויסעו מרתמה ויחנו ברמן פרץ׃
19And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmon-perez.
20ויסעו מרמן פרץ ויחנו בלבנה׃
20And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.
21ויסעו מלבנה ויחנו ברסה׃
21And they removed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah.
22ויסעו מרסה ויחנו בקהלתה׃
22And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.
23ויסעו מקהלתה ויחנו בהר שפר׃
23And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.
24ויסעו מהר שפר ויחנו בחרדה׃
24And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.
25ויסעו מחרדה ויחנו במקהלת׃
25And they removed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.
26ויסעו ממקהלת ויחנו בתחת׃
26And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.
27ויסעו מתחת ויחנו בתרח׃
27And they removed from Tahath, and encamped at Terah.
28ויסעו מתרח ויחנו במתקה׃
28And they removed from Terah, and encamped in Mithcah.
29ויסעו ממתקה ויחנו בחשמנה׃
29And they removed from Mithcah, and encamped in Hashmonah.
30ויסעו מחשמנה ויחנו במסרות׃
30And they removed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.
31ויסעו ממסרות ויחנו בבני יעקן׃
31And they removed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-Jaakan.
32ויסעו מבני יעקן ויחנו בחר הגדגד׃
32And they removed from Bene-Jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad.
33ויסעו מחר הגדגד ויחנו ביטבתה׃
33And they removed from Hor-hagidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.
34ויסעו מיטבתה ויחנו בעברנה׃
34And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Abronah.
35ויסעו מעברנה ויחנו בעציון גבר׃
35And they removed from Abronah, and encamped at Ezion-geber.
36ויסעו מעציון גבר ויחנו במדבר צן הוא קדש׃
36And they removed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
37ויסעו מקדש ויחנו בהר ההר בקצה ארץ אדום׃
37And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the border of the land of Edom.
38ויעל אהרן הכהן אל הר ההר על פי יהוה וימת שם בשנת הארבעים לצאת בני ישראל מארץ מצרים בחדש החמישי באחד לחדש׃
38And Aaron the priest went up mount Hor by the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.
39ואהרן בן שלש ועשרים ומאת שנה במתו בהר ההר׃
39And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on mount Hor.
40וישמע הכנעני מלך ערד והוא ישב בנגב בארץ כנען בבא בני ישראל׃
40And the Canaanite, the king of Arad who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41ויסעו מהר ההר ויחנו בצלמנה׃
41And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.
42ויסעו מצלמנה ויחנו בפונן׃
42And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.
43ויסעו מפונן ויחנו באבת׃
43And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.
44ויסעו מאבת ויחנו בעיי העברים בגבול מואב׃
44And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in Ijim-Abarim, in the border of Moab.
45ויסעו מעיים ויחנו בדיבן גד׃
45And they removed from Ijim, and encamped in Dibon-Gad.
46ויסעו מדיבן גד ויחנו בעלמן דבלתימה׃
46And they removed from Dibon-Gad, and encamped in Almon-Diblathaim.
47ויסעו מעלמן דבלתימה ויחנו בהרי העברים לפני נבו׃
47And they removed from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48ויסעו מהרי העברים ויחנו בערבת מואב על ירדן ירחו׃
48And they removed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.
49ויחנו על הירדן מבית הישמת עד אבל השטים בערבת מואב׃
49And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.
50וידבר יהוה אל משה בערבת מואב על ירדן ירחו לאמר׃
50And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,
51דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את הירדן אל ארץ כנען׃
51Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52והורשתם את כל ישבי הארץ מפניכם ואבדתם את כל משכיתם ואת כל צלמי מסכתם תאבדו ואת כל במתם תשמידו׃
52then ye shall dispossess all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their figured images, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and all their high places shall ye lay waste;
53והורשתם את הארץ וישבתם בה כי לכם נתתי את הארץ לרשת אתה׃
53and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein, for to you have I given the land to possess it.
54והתנחלתם את הארץ בגורל למשפחתיכם לרב תרבו את נחלתו ולמעט תמעיט את נחלתו אל אשר יצא לו שמה הגורל לו יהיה למטות אבתיכם תתנחלו׃
54And ye shall take for yourselves the land as an inheritance by lot according to your families: to the many ye shall increase their inheritance, and to the few thou shalt diminish their inheritance: where the lot falleth to him, there shall be each man's [inheritance]; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye take for yourselves the inheritance.
55ואם לא תורישו את ישבי הארץ מפניכם והיה אשר תותירו מהם לשכים בעיניכם ולצנינם בצדיכם וצררו אתכם על הארץ אשר אתם ישבים בה׃
55But if ye will not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, those that ye let remain of them shall be thorns in your eyes, and pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56והיה כאשר דמיתי לעשות להם אעשה לכם׃
56And it shall come to pass that I will do unto you as I thought to do unto them.
