1וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2צו את בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם באים אל הארץ כנען זאת הארץ אשר תפל לכם בנחלה ארץ כנען לגבלתיה׃
2Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan, this shall be the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof.
3והיה לכם פאת נגב ממדבר צן על ידי אדום והיה לכם גבול נגב מקצה ים המלח קדמה׃
3Then your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin alongside of Edom, and your southern border shall be from the end of the salt sea eastward;
4ונסב לכם הגבול מנגב למעלה עקרבים ועבר צנה והיה תוצאתיו מנגב לקדש ברנע ויצא חצר אדר ועבר עצמנה׃
4and your border shall turn from the south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin, and shall end southward at Kadesh-barnea, and shall go on to Hazar-Addar, and pass on to Azmon.
5ונסב הגבול מעצמון נחלה מצרים והיו תוצאתיו הימה׃
5And the border shall turn from Azmon unto the torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the sea.
6וגבול ים והיה לכם הים הגדול וגבול זה יהיה לכם גבול ים׃
6And as west border ye shall have the great sea, and [its] coast. This shall be your west border.
7וזה יהיה לכם גבול צפון מן הים הגדל תתאו לכם הר ההר׃
7And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall mark out for you mount Hor;
8מהר ההר תתאו לבא חמת והיו תוצאת הגבל צדדה׃
8from mount Hor ye shall mark out the entrance to Hamath, and the end of the border shall be toward Zedad;
9ויצא הגבל זפרנה והיו תוצאתיו חצר עינן זה יהיה לכם גבול צפון׃
9and the border shall go to Ziphron, and shall end at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border.
10והתאויתם לכם לגבול קדמה מחצר עינן שפמה׃
10And ye shall mark out for you as eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham:
11וירד הגבל משפם הרבלה מקדם לעין וירד הגבול ומחה על כתף ים כנרת קדמה׃
11and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall strike upon the extremity of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;
12וירד הגבול הירדנה והיו תוצאתיו ים המלח זאת תהיה לכם הארץ לגבלתיה סביב׃
12and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and shall end at the salt sea. This shall be your land according to the borders thereof round about.
13ויצו משה את בני ישראל לאמר זאת הארץ אשר תתנחלו אתה בגורל אשר צוה יהוה לתת לתשעת המטות וחצי המטה׃
13And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall take for yourselves as inheritance by lot, which Jehovah commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
14כי לקחו מטה בני הראובני לבית אבתם ומטה בני הגדי לבית אבתם וחצי מטה מנשה לקחו נחלתם׃
14For the tribe of the children of the Reubenites according to their fathers' houses, and the tribe of the children of the Gadites according to their fathers' houses, have received, and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;
15שני המטות וחצי המטה לקחו נחלתם מעבר לירדן ירחו קדמה מזרחה׃
15the two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side the Jordan of Jericho eastward, toward the sun-rising.
16וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃
16And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
17אלה שמות האנשים אשר ינחלו לכם את הארץ אלעזר הכהן ויהושע בן נון׃
17These are the names of the men who shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
18ונשיא אחד נשיא אחד ממטה תקחו לנחל את הארץ׃
18And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land.
19ואלה שמות האנשים למטה יהודה כלב בן יפנה׃
19And these are the names of the men: for the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
20ולמטה בני שמעון שמואל בן עמיהוד׃
20and for the tribe of the children of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud;
21למטה בנימן אלידד בן כסלון׃
21for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;
22ולמטה בני דן נשיא בקי בן יגלי׃
22and for the tribe of the children of Dan, a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli;
23לבני יוסף למטה בני מנשה נשיא חניאל בן אפד׃
23for the children of Joseph: for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod,
24ולמטה בני אפרים נשיא קמואל בן שפטן׃
24and for the tribe of the children of Ephraim, a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
25ולמטה בני זבולן נשיא אליצפן בן פרנך׃
25and for the tribe of the children of Zebulun, a prince, Elizaphan the son of Pharnach;
26ולמטה בני יששכר נשיא פלטיאל בן עזן׃
26and for the tribe of the children of Issachar, a prince, Phaltiel the son of Azzan;
27ולמטה בני אשר נשיא אחיהוד בן שלמי׃
27and for the tribe of the children of Asher, a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;
28ולמטה בני נפתלי נשיא פדהאל בן עמיהוד׃
28and for the tribe of the children of Naphtali, a prince, Phedahel the son of Ammihud.
29אלה אשר צוה יהוה לנחל את בני ישראל בארץ כנען׃
29These are they whom Jehovah commanded to distribute to the children of Israel their inheritance in the land of Canaan.
