1הללו יה הללי נפשי את יהוה׃
1Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah, O my soul.
2אהללה יהוה בחיי אזמרה לאלהי בעודי׃
2As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.
3אל תבטחו בנדיבים בבן אדם שאין לו תשועה׃
3Put not confidence in nobles, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
4תצא רוחו ישב לאדמתו ביום ההוא אבדו עשתנתיו׃
4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish.
5אשרי שאל יעקב בעזרו שברו על יהוה אלהיו׃
5Blessed is he who hath the ùGod of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,
6עשה שמים וארץ את הים ואת כל אשר בם השמר אמת לעולם׃
6Who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;
7עשה משפט לעשוקים נתן לחם לרעבים יהוה מתיר אסורים׃
7Who executeth judgment for the oppressed, who giveth bread to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;
8יהוה פקח עורים יהוה זקף כפופים יהוה אהב צדיקים׃
8Jehovah openeth [the eyes of] the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;
9יהוה שמר את גרים יתום ואלמנה יעודד ודרך רשעים יעות׃
9Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.
10ימלך יהוה לעולם אלהיך ציון לדר ודר הללו יה׃
10Jehovah will reign for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halleluiah!
