1הללו יה כי טוב זמרה אלהינו כי נעים נאוה תהלה׃
1Praise ye Jah! for it is good. Sing psalms of our God; for it is pleasant: praise is comely.
2בונה ירושלם יהוה נדחי ישראל יכנס׃
2Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth the outcasts of Israel.
3הרפא לשבורי לב ומחבש לעצבותם׃
3He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4מונה מספר לכוכבים לכלם שמות יקרא׃
4He counteth the number of the stars; he giveth names to them all.
5גדול אדונינו ורב כח לתבונתו אין מספר׃
5Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6מעודד ענוים יהוה משפיל רשעים עדי ארץ׃
6Jehovah lifteth up the meek; he abaseth the wicked to the earth.
7ענו ליהוה בתודה זמרו לאלהינו בכנור׃
7Sing unto Jehovah with thanksgiving; sing psalms upon the harp unto our God:
8המכסה שמים בעבים המכין לארץ מטר המצמיח הרים חציר׃
8Who covereth the heavens with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains;
9נותן לבהמה לחמה לבני ערב אשר יקראו׃
9Who giveth to the cattle their food, to the young ravens which cry.
10לא בגבורת הסוס יחפץ לא בשוקי האיש ירצה׃
10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse, he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man;
11רוצה יהוה את יראיו את המיחלים לחסדו׃
11Jehovah taketh pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his loving-kindness.
12שבחי ירושלם את יהוה הללי אלהיך ציון׃
12Laud Jehovah, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13כי חזק בריחי שעריך ברך בניך בקרבך׃
13For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee;
14השם גבולך שלום חלב חטים ישביעך׃
14He maketh peace in thy borders; he satisfieth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15השלח אמרתו ארץ עד מהרה ירוץ דברו׃
15He sendeth forth his oracles to the earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16הנתן שלג כצמר כפור כאפר יפזר׃
16He giveth snow like wool, scattereth the hoar frost like ashes;
17משליך קרחו כפתים לפני קרתו מי יעמד׃
17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18ישלח דברו וימסם ישב רוחו יזלו מים׃
18He sendeth his word, and melteth them; he causeth his wind to blow -- the waters flow.
19מגיד דברו ליעקב חקיו ומשפטיו לישראל׃
19He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20לא עשה כן לכל גוי ומשפטים בל ידעום הללו יה׃
20He hath not dealt thus with any nation; and as for [his] judgments, they have not known them. Hallelujah!
