¹イエス・キリストの僕またヤコブの兄弟であるユダから、父なる神に愛され、イエス・キリストに守られている召された人々へ。

¹ Jude, or, Judah a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:

²あわれみと平安と愛とが、あなたがたに豊かに加わるように。

²Mercy to you and peace and love be multiplied.

³愛する者たちよ。わたしたちが共にあずかっている救について、あなたがたに書きおくりたいと心から願っていたので、聖徒たちによって、ひとたび伝えられた信仰のために戦うことを勧めるように、手紙をおくる必要を感じるに至った。

³Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

⁴そのわけは、不信仰な人々がしのび込んできて、わたしたちの神の恵みを放縦な生活に変え、唯一の君であり、わたしたちの主であるイエス・キリストを否定しているからである。彼らは、このようなさばきを受けることに、昔から予告されているのである。

⁴For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into indecency, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.

⁵あなたがたはみな、じゅうぶんに知っていることではあるが、主が民をエジプトの地から救い出して後、不信仰な者を滅ぼされたことを、思い起してもらいたい。

⁵Now I desire to remind you, though you already know this, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn’t believe.

⁶主は、自分たちの地位を守ろうとはせず、そのおるべき所を捨て去った御使たちを、大いなる日のさばきのために、永久にしばりつけたまま、暗やみの中に閉じ込めておかれた。

⁶Angels who didn’t keep their first domain, but deserted their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

⁷ソドム、ゴモラも、まわりの町々も、同様であって、同じように淫行にふけり、不自然な肉欲に走ったので、永遠の火の刑罰を受け、人々の見せしめにされている。

⁷Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, having, in the same way as these, given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

⁸しかし、これと同じように、これらの人々は、夢に迷わされて肉を汚し、権威ある者たちを軽んじ、栄光ある者たちをそしっている。

⁸Yet in the same way, these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings.

⁹御使のかしらミカエルは、モーセの死体について悪魔と論じ争った時、相手をののしりさばくことはあえてせず、ただ、「主がおまえを戒めて下さるように」と言っただけであった。

⁹But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”

¹⁰しかし、この人々は自分が知りもしないことをそしり、また、分別のない動物のように、ただ本能的な知識にあやまられて、自らの滅亡を招いている。

¹⁰But these speak evil of whatever things they don’t know. What they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason, they are destroyed in these things.

¹¹彼らはわざわいである。彼らはカインの道を行き、利のためにバラムの惑わしに迷い入り、コラのような反逆をして滅んでしまうのである。

¹¹Woe to them! For they went in the way of Cain, and ran riotously in the error of Balaam for hire, and perished in Korah’s rebellion.

¹²彼らは、あなたがたの愛餐に加わるが、それを汚し、無遠慮に宴会に同席して、自分の腹を肥やしている。彼らは、いわば、風に吹きまわされる水なき雲、実らない枯れ果てて、抜き捨てられた秋の木、

¹²These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn leaves without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

¹³自分の恥をあわにして出す海の荒波、さまよう星である。彼らには、まっくらなやみが永久に用意されている。

¹³wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.

¹⁴アダムから七代目にあたるエノクも彼らについて預言して言った、「見よ、主は無数の聖徒たちを率いてこられた。

¹⁴About these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones,

¹⁵それは、すべての者にさばきを行うためであり、また、不信心な者が、信仰を無視して犯したすべての不信心なしわざと、さらに、不信心な罪人が主にそむいて語ったすべての暴言とを責めるためである」。

¹⁵to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

¹⁶彼らは不平をならべ、不満を鳴らす者であり、自分の欲のままに生活し、その口は大言を吐き、利のために人にへつらう者である。

¹⁶These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaks proud things), showing respect of persons to gain advantage.

¹⁷愛する者たちよ。わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの使徒たちが予告した言葉を思い出しなさい。

¹⁷But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁸彼らはあなたがたにこう言った、「終りの時に、あざける者たちがあらわれて、自分の不信心な欲のままに生活するであろう」。

¹⁸They said to you that “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.”

¹⁹彼らは分派をつくる者、肉に属する者、御霊を持たない者たちである。

¹⁹These are they who cause divisions, and are sensual, not having the Spirit.

²⁰しかし、愛する者たちよ。あなたがたは、最も神聖な信仰の上に自らを築き上げ、聖霊によって祈り、

²⁰But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

²¹神の愛の中に自らを保ち、永遠のいのちを目あてとして、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストのあわれみを待ち望みなさい。

²¹Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

²²疑いをいだく人々があれば、彼らをあわれみ、

²²On some have compassion, making a distinction,

²³火の中から引き出して救ってやりなさい。また、そのほかの人たちを、おそれの心をもってあわれみなさい。しかし、肉に汚れた者に対しては、その下着さえも忌みきらいなさい。

²³and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.

²⁴あなたがたを守ってつまずかない者とし、また、その栄光のまえに傷なき者として、喜びのうちに立たせて下さるかた、すなわち、わたしたちの救主なる唯一の神に、栄光、大能、力、権威が、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストによって、世々の初めにも、今も、また、世々限りなく、あるように、アァメン。

²⁴Now to him who is able to keep them TR and NU read “you” from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,

²⁵すなわち、わたしたちの救主なる唯一の神に、栄光、大能、力、権威が、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストによって、世々の初めにも、今も、また、世々限りなく、あるように、アァメン。

²⁵to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
