2Yal ass nețḥemmid Sidi Ṛebbi fell-awen ; mkul m'ara nedɛu ɣuṛ-es, nețțader-ikkun-id di tẓallit-nneɣ.
2We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you at our prayers,
3Nețmektay-ikkun-id zdat Sidi Ṛebbi baba-tneɣ, ɣef wayen akk txeddmem seg wasmi tumnem s Ssid-nneɣ Ɛisa Lmasiḥ ; tqeblem aț-țenneɛtabem ɣef ddemma n yisem-is imi tḥemmlem-t yerna lețkal-nwen fell-as d ameqqran.
3remembering unceasingly your work of faith, and labour of love, and enduring constancy of hope, of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;
4Ay atmaten eɛzizen ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi, neẓra belli d nețța i kkun-id ixtaṛen.
4knowing, brethren beloved by God, your election.
5Lexbeṛ-agi n lxiṛ i wen-d newwi mačči d imeslayen kan, lameɛna s țțeḥqiq i wen-d-nbecceṛ lexbaṛ-agi n tideț, s tezmert n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen. Teẓram amek i nedda gar-awen, asm'akken i nella ɣuṛ-wen ; nexdem ayagi iwakken a kkun-nɛiwen di tikli-nwen.
5For our glad tidings were not with you in word only, but also in power, and in [the] Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; even as ye know what we were among you for your sakes:
6Ula d kunwi tuɣalem tețțeddum am nukni deg webrid n Ssid-nneɣ, imi di teswiɛt iweɛṛen i tqeblem awal-is s lfeṛḥ i d-ițțak Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen.
6and *ye* became our imitators, and of the Lord, having accepted the word in much tribulation with joy of [the] Holy Spirit,
7S wakka tuɣalem d lemtel i wid akk yumnen, i gellan di tmura n Masidunya akk-d Akaya.
7so that ye became models to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia:
8Axaṭer s ɣuṛ-wen, lexbaṛ n lxiṛ iwweḍ mačči kan ɣer tmura-agi, meɛna slan s liman-nwen di Sidi Ṛebbi di mkul amkan. Daymi fiḥel a d-nemmeslay fell-awen.
8for the word of the Lord sounded out from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith which [is] towards God has gone abroad, so that we have no need to say anything;
9Imdanen meṛṛa ḥekkun amek i tesṭerḥbem yis-nneɣ, amek i d-tuɣalem ɣer webrid n Sidi Ṛebbi, teǧǧam aɛbad n ssadaț, iwakken aț-țḍuɛem Sidi Ṛebbi n tideț, Sidi Ṛebbi yeddren.
9for they themselves relate concerning us what entering in we had to you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
10Yerna tețṛaǧum a d-yuɣal Ssid nneɣ Ɛisa seg igenwan, Mmi-s-nni i d-isseḥya si ger lmegtin ; d nețța ara ɣ-isellken ass n lḥisab.
10and to await his Son from the heavens, whom he raised from among the dead, Jesus, our deliverer from the coming wrath.
