1And when the day of Pentecost was now accomplishing, they were all together in one place.
2Taswiɛt kan, yekka-d yiwen n lḥess ameqqran seg igenni am waḍu iǧehden, yeččuṛ akk axxam-nni anda qqimen.
2And there came suddenly a sound out of heaven as of a violent impetuous blowing, and filled all the house where they were sitting.
3Sehṛen-asen-d am akken d ilsawen n tmes ițemfaṛaqen wway gar-asen, rsen-d ɣef yal yiwen deg sen.
3And there appeared to them parted tongues, as of fire, and it sat upon each one of them.
4Sčuṛen akk s Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, bdan țmeslayen s tutlayin nniḍen, yal yiwen seg-sen iheddeṛ s tutlayt i s-d-yefka Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen.
4And they were all filled with [the] Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.
5Deg ussan-nni, di temdint n Lquds, llan yemdanen n wat Isṛail yețḍuɛun Sidi Ṛebbi, i d-yusan si mkul tamurt n ddunit.
5Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, pious men, from every nation of those under heaven.
6Mi slan i lḥess-nni, lɣaci uzzlen d meṛṛa ; dehcen, axaṭer sellen-asen țmeslayen-d s tutlayt n tmurt i deg țɛicin.
6But the rumour of this having spread, the multitude came together and were confounded, because each one heard them speaking in his own dialect.
7Wehmen, țɛeǧben, qqaṛen wway gar-asen : Imdanen-agi yețmeslayen mačči n tmurt n Jlili ?
7And all were amazed and wondered, saying, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans?
8Amek armi yal yiwen deg-nneɣ isell-asen țmeslayen s tmeslayt-is ?
8and how do *we* hear [them] each in our own dialect in which we have been born,
9Llan gar-aneɣ yemdanen i d yusan si tmurt n Bartas, si tmurt n Midyas, si tmurt n Ilam, kra nniḍen si tmurt n Mizubuṭamya, si tmurt n Yahuda akk-d tmurt n Kafadusya, wiyaḍ si tmurt n Tqenṭert, si tmurt n Asya,
9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, and Judaea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10si tmurt n Frijya akk-d Bamfilya. Usan-d daɣen si tmurt n Maṣer, si leǧwahi n Qiṛwan di tmurt n Libya, widak i d-yusan si temdint n Ṛuma ;
10both Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya which adjoin Cyrene, and the Romans sojourning [here], both Jews and proselytes,
11llan daɣen wat Isṛail akk-d wid itabaɛen di ddin nsen, llan wid n tegzirt n Kritus akk-d waɛṛaben. Amek armi i sen-nesla țmeslayen s tutlayin-nneɣ meṛṛa ɣef leɛǧayeb n Sidi Ṛebbi ?
11Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the great things of God?
12Dehcen akk, ur ẓrin d acu ara xemmemen, qqaṛen wway gar-asen : D acu-t wayagi ?
12And they were all amazed and in perplexity, saying one to another, What would this mean?
13Ma d wiyaḍ stehzayen fell-asen qqaṛen : D askaṛ i sekkṛen !
13But others mocking said, They are full of new wine.
14Buṭrus yellan akk-d ḥdac n ṛṛusul-nni, issaɛli taɣect-is yenna i lɣaci : Ay imezdaɣ n temdint n Lquds akk-d kunwi meṛṛa isɛeddayen ussan di temdint-agi, slet-ed mliḥ i wayen ara wen-d-iniɣ, ilaq aț-țeẓrem ayagi :
14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke forth to them, Men of Judaea, and all ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give heed to my words:
15irgazen-agi ur skiṛen ara am akken i ɣilen kra seg-wen, axaṭer ațan d țesɛa n ṣṣbeḥ kan !
15for these are not full of wine, as *ye* suppose, for it is the third hour of the day;
16Lameɛna ayagi yedṛan d ayen i d-icar nnbi Yuwil :
16but this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel,
17Sidi Ṛebbi yenna-d : Deg ussan ineggura a d-sserseɣ Ṛṛuḥ-iw ɣef yemdanen meṛṛa ; arrac-nwen d yessi-twen a d-țcirin ayen ara sen-d-țxebbiṛeɣ, ilmeẓyen-nwen a sen-d-țweḥḥiɣ, imɣaṛen-nwen a sen-d-mmeslayeɣ di tirga.
17And it shall be in the last days, saith God, [that] I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your elders shall dream with dreams;
18Anɛam, deg ussan-nni a d-smireɣ Ṛṛuḥ-iw ɣef yiqeddacen-iw ț-țqeddacin-iw, a d-ciren s wayen ara sen-d-țxebbiṛeɣ.
18yea, even upon my bondmen and upon my bondwomen in those days will I pour out of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
19Deg igenni ad xedmeɣ leɛǧayeb, di lqaɛa a d-sekneɣ licaṛat yessewhamen : idammen, times d usigna n ddexxan.
19And I will give wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20Iṭij ad yuɣal d ṭṭlam, aggur ad yuɣal am idammen uqbel a d-yas wass n Sidi Ṛebbi ; ass-nni d ass ameqqran, yeččuṛen d lɛaḍima.
20the sun shall be changed to darkness and the moon to blood, before the great and gloriously appearing day of [the] Lord come.
21Imiren kra n win ineddhen s yisem n Sidi Ṛebbi ad ițțusellek.
21And it shall be that whosoever shall call upon the name of [the] Lord shall be saved.
22Ay imdanen n wat Isṛail, ḥesset-ed mliḥ i wayen ara wen-d iniɣ : ɣef wayen yeɛnan Ɛisa anaṣari, teẓram akk belli Sidi Ṛebbi isbeggen ed tazmert-is mi gexdem zdat-wen lbeṛhanat, licaṛat d leɛǧubat, am akken i teẓram s yiman-nwen.
22Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazaraean, a man borne witness to by God to you by works of power and wonders and signs, which God wrought by him in your midst, as yourselves know
23Akken yella si zik di leqsed n Sidi Ṛebbi ; argaz-agi tezzenzem-t, d kunwi i t-yenɣan mi t-tsellmem ger ifassen n ikafriwen i t-isemmṛen ɣef lluḥ.
23-- him, given up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye, by [the] hand of lawless [men], have crucified and slain.
24Lameɛna Sidi Ṛebbi yesseḥya t-id, isellek-it-id si tesraft n lmut axaṭer d lmuḥal a t-teṭṭef ɣuṛ-es.
24Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death, inasmuch as it was not possible that he should be held by its power;
25Sidna Dawed yenna-d fell-as : Țwaliɣ kull ass Sidi Ṛebbi zdat-i axaṭer yețțili ɣer uyeffus-iw iwakken ur ɣelliɣ ara ;
25for David says as to him, I foresaw the Lord continually before me, because he is at my right hand that I may not be moved.
26daymi i gefṛeḥ wul-iw, i tcennu taɣect-iw ; ula d iɣsan-iw ad ṛtiḥen di laman ;
26Therefore has my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted; yea more, my flesh also shall dwell in hope,
27axaṭer ur iyi-tețțaǧǧaḍ ara di laxeṛt,ur tețțaǧaḍ ara win i k-iḍuɛen ad yerku deg uẓekka.
27for thou wilt not leave my soul in hades, nor wilt thou give thy gracious one to see corruption.
28Teldiḍ-iyi iberdan n tudert ; ul-iw yeččuṛ d lfeṛḥ imi tețțiliḍ yid-i.
28Thou hast made known to me [the] paths of life, thou wilt fill me with joy with thy countenance.
29Ay atmaten ilaq-iyi a wen d-mmeslayeɣ ɛinani ɣef tideț yeɛnan jeddi-tneɣ Sidna Dawed. Teẓram belli yemmut, yețwamḍel, yerna aẓekka ines mazal-it ar ass-a gar-aneɣ.
29Brethren, let it be allowed to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David, that he has both died and been buried, and his monument is amongst us unto this day.
30Lameɛna imi d nnbi i gella, yeẓra belli Sidi Ṛebbi ad iṭṭef di lemɛahda i s-d-yefka mi s-d-yenna : D yiwen si tarwa-k ara sbeddeɣ d agellid deg wemkan-ik.
30Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, of the fruit of his loins to set upon his throne;
31Ɣef ḥeggu n Lmasiḥ i d-icar mi d-yenna lehduṛ-agi ; axaṭer ț-țideț, ur t-yeǧǧi di laxeṛt, ur t-yeǧǧi ad yerku.+
31he, seeing [it] before, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither has he been left in hades nor his flesh seen corruption.
32Win ɣef i wen-d-țmeslayeɣ, d Ɛisa-agi i d-isseḥya Sidi Ṛebbi si ger lmegtin, aql-aɣ akk d inagan.
32This Jesus has God raised up, whereof all *we* are witnesses.
33Mi gețwarfed ɣer uyeffus n Sidi Ṛebbi, yețțunefk-as Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i s-yewɛed Baba Ṛebbi, nețța ismar-it-id fell-aɣ ; d ayen i teslam, i twalam.
33Having therefore been exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which *ye* behold and hear.
34Mačči d Sidna Dawed i gulin ɣer igenni, axaṭer d nețța i d-yennan : Sidi Ṛebbi yenna-d i Ssid-iw :
34For David has not ascended into the heavens, but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand
35Sṭef amkan n lḥekma ɣer uyeffus-iw alamma rriɣ iɛdawen-ik seddaw idaṛṛen-ik.+ +
35until I have put thine enemies [to be] the footstool of thy feet.
36Ilaq ihi at Isṛail meṛṛa ad ẓren s tideț belli Ɛisa-nni i tsemmṛem ɣef lluḥ, d nețța i gerra Sidi Ṛebbi d Agellid ameqqran, d Lmasiḥ.
36Let the whole house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him, this Jesus whom *ye* have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37Mi slan i wayen i d-yenna Buṭrus, lɣaci meṛṛa saxen wulawen-nsen, nnan i Buṭrus d ṛṛusul nniḍen : Ay atmaten, d acu ara nexdem ?
37And having heard [it] they were pricked in heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, What shall we do, brethren?
38Buṭrus yerra-yasen : Tubet, beddlet tikli ! Mkul yiwen deg-wen ad yețwaɣḍes s yisem n Sidna Ɛisa Lmasiḥ iwakken a wen-țwasemmḥen ddnubat-nwen, yerna a wen-d yețțunefk Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen.
38And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39Axaṭer lweɛd-agi n Sidi Ṛebbi, yețțunefk-ed i kunwi d warraw-nwen akk-d wid meṛṛa n leǧnas nniḍen iwumi ara d-issiwel Sidi Ṛebbi Illu-nneɣ.
39For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all who [are] afar off, as many as [the] Lord our God may call.
40Buṭrus inehhu-ten s waṭas n yimeslayen nniḍen, iwakken ad amnen, yeqqaṛ-asen : Xḍut i lǧil-agi iɛewjen iwakken aț-țețțusellkem !
40And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.
41Wid iqeblen ayen i d-yenna Buṭrus, qeblen ad țwaɣedṣen. Ass-nni rnan-d wazal n tlata alaf n yemdanen i gumnen.
41Those then who had accepted his word were baptised; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
42Seg imiren, zgan țnejmaɛen am atmaten iwakken ad slen i wselmed n ṛṛusul ; beṭṭun aɣṛum n usmekti n Lmasiḥ, yerna deɛɛun ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi s yiwen n wul.
42And they persevered in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles, in breaking of bread and prayers.
43Tɛeǧǧben, tekcem-iten akk tugdi mi țwalin ṛṛusul xeddmen aṭas n lbeṛhanat d leɛǧayeb.
43And fear was upon every soul, and many wonders and signs took place through the apostles' means.
44Wid akk yumnen, țɛicin s tdukli yerna beṭṭun wway gar-asen ayen akk sɛan.
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common,
45Znuzun ayla-nsen meṛṛa, ayen akken i d-jemɛen, feṛqen-t wway gar-asen mkul yiwen ɣef leḥsab n wakken yeḥwaǧ.
45and sold their possessions and substance, and distributed them to all, according as any one might have need.
46Kull ass, s yiwen ṛṛay, țnejmaɛen di lǧameɛ iqedsen, țnejmaɛen daɣen deg ixxamen-nsen, beṭṭun aɣṛum iwakken ad mektin Lmasiḥ, tețțen lqut-nsen s nneya d lfeṛḥ ;
46And every day, being constantly in the temple with one accord, and breaking bread in [the] house, they received their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
47țḥemmiden Sidi Ṛebbi, imdanen meṛṛa țqadaṛen-ten ; Sidi Ṛebbi irennu-d kull ass ɣer tejmaɛt-nsen wid ițțusellken.
47praising God, and having favour with all the people; and the Lord added [to the assembly] daily those that were to be saved.
