Darby's Translation

Ephesians

4

1Nekk yellan d aqeddac n Lmasiḥ, a kkun-nhuɣ ihi aț-țeddum akken yebɣa Sidi Ṛebbi mi wen-d-issawel.
1*I*, the prisoner in [the] Lord, exhort you therefore to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye have been called,
2Ddut s lḥenna d wannuz akk-d ṣṣbeṛ, țemyawit wway gar-awen s lmaḥibba.
2with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;
3Ḥeṛset iman-nwen aț-țeṭṭfem di tdukkli n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, s lehna wway gar-awen.
3using diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace.
4Yiwet n lǧețța kan akk-d yiwen n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i gellan, am akken daɣen i wen-d-issawel Sidi Ṛebbi ɣer yiwen usirem kan.
4[There is] one body and one Spirit, as ye have been also called in one hope of your calling;
5Yiwen kan i d Ssid-nneɣ, yiwen n liman akk-d yiwen n weɣḍas i gellan,
5one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6yiwen n Ṛebbi kan i gellan, d nețța i d baba-tneɣ meṛṛa ; yella sennig kullec, yella ger yemdanen meṛṛa, yella daɣen deg-sen meṛṛa.
6one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
7Meɛna mkul yiwen deg-nneɣ tețțunefk-as-d ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi s wakken yella umur i s-d-yefka Lmasiḥ.
7But to each one of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.
8Akken yura di tira iqedsen+ : Mi yuli ɣer igenwan, + yewwi yid-es imeḥbas, ifka-d tikciwin i yemdanen.+ +
8Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men.
9D acu i d lmeɛna : « Yuli ɣer igenni ? » Ayagi, yeɛni : uqbel ad yali Lmasiḥ ɣer igenni, iṣubb ɣer imukan lqayen n ddaw tmurt.
9But that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
10D win akken iṣubben, i gulin daɣen ɣer igenwan iwakken ad yeɛmeṛ ddunit meṛṛa ;
10He that descended is the same who has also ascended up above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;
11d nețța i d-ifeṛqen tukciwin i yemdanen : kra yefka-yasen ad ilin d ṛṛusul, kra d lenbiya, kra nniḍen ad beccṛen lexbaṛ n lxiṛ, wiyaḍ d imeksawen n tejmaɛt n imasiḥiyen neɣ d wid yesselmaden agdud n Sidi Ṛebbi.
11and *he* has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers,
12S tukciwin-agi, Sidna Ɛisa ad iheggi wid yextaṛ Sidi Ṛebbi, ad sɛun tazmert s wayes ara xedmen ccɣel i sen-d-ifka iwakken aț-țegmu tejmaɛt n watmaten yellan d lǧețța n Lmasiḥ ;
12for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to [the] work of [the] ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;
13s wakka a ndukkel deg yiwen n liman akk-d yiwet n tmusni ɣef wayen yeɛnan Mmi-s n Sidi Ṛebbi, alamma nuɣal d imeqqranen di liman, imiren s tdukli-nneɣ a naweḍ ɣer lekmal yellan di Lmasiḥ.
13until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at [the] full-grown man, at [the] measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ;
14S wakka ur nețɣimi ara d arrac imeẓyanen i țțawint lemwaji, i gekkat waḍu ɣer mkul lǧiha, iwumi țkellixen yemdanen s tḥila-nsen d uselmed-nsen.
14in order that we may be no longer babes, tossed and carried about by every wind of *that* teaching [which is] in the sleight of men, in unprincipled cunning with a view to systematized error;
15Meɛna m'ara d-nini tideț s lmaḥibba, a nennerni di kullec di tikli-nneɣ akk-d Lmasiḥ yellan d aqeṛṛuy n tejmaɛt n watmaten.
15but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
16Lǧețța tebna s leɛḍam i cuddent lemfaṣel yal yiwen deg umkan-is ; s Lmasiḥ i tețțimɣuṛ tețnerni di lmaḥibba m'ara xeddmen leɛḍam ccɣel-nsen akken ilaq.
16from whom the whole body, fitted together, and connected by every joint of supply, according to [the] working in [its] measure of each one part, works for itself the increase of the body to its self-building up in love.
17Atah ihi wayen i d-nniɣ d wayen i d-qqaṛeɣ s yisem n Lmasiḥ : ur țɛicit ara am wid ur nessin ara Sidi Ṛebbi, imi nutni ttabaɛen ixemmimen-nsen ur nesɛi lmeɛna.
17This I say therefore, and testify in [the] Lord, that ye should no longer walk as [the rest of] the nations walk in [the] vanity of their mind,
18Lefhama-nsen iɣumm-iț ṭṭlam, sbeɛden iman-nsen ɣef tudert i d ițțak Sidi Ṛebbi axaṭer jehlen, qquṛen wulawen-nsen.
18being darkened in understanding, estranged from the life of God by reason of the ignorance which is in them, by reason of the hardness of their hearts,
19Ur țsetḥin ur țneḥcamen, xeddmen anagar leɛṛuṛ yerna ur sɛin ara leqniɛa.
19who having cast off all feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greedy unsatisfied lust.
20Meɛna kunwi, mačči d ayagi i tlemdem ɣef wayen yeɛnan Lmasiḥ.
20But *ye* have not thus learnt the Christ,
21Ma yella d ṣṣeḥ teslam yis yerna slemden awen tideț yeɛnan Lmasiḥ,
21if ye have heard him and been instructed in him according as [the] truth is in Jesus;
22eǧǧet ihi tikli d lɛeqliyat-nwen tiqdimin i ssefsadent ccehwat-nni yețɣuṛṛun,
22[namely] your having put off according to the former conversation the old man which corrupts itself according to the deceitful lusts;
23iwakken aț-țesɛum lefhama tajdiṭ i d-yețțak Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen ;
23and being renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24aț-țuɣalem d imdanen ijdiden akken yella di lebɣi n Sidi Ṛebbi, iwakken aț-țeddum deg webrid n lḥeqq akk-d ṣṣfa i ɣer tessufuɣ tideț.
24and [your] having put on the new man, which according to God is created in truthful righteousness and holiness.
25Daymi, xḍut i lekdeb, ilaq mkul yiwen deg-wen ad immeslay s tideț i lɣiṛ-is, axaṭer d leɛḍam n yiwet n lǧețța i nella.
25Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.
26Ma yella terfam ur dennbet ara, ilaq a wen-yekkes wurrif uqbel ad yeɣli yiṭij ;
26Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,
27ur țțaǧat ara abrid i Cciṭan ad ikcem ulawen nwen.
27neither give room for the devil.
28Win yellan yețțakar ilaq ad yeǧǧ tukerḍa, ad ixdem s iɣallen-is iwakken a d-isewweṛ aɣṛum-is s leḥlal, s wakka ad izmir ad iɛiwen wid yeḥwaǧen.
28Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him toil, working what is honest with [his] hands, that he may have to distribute to him that has need.
29Ur ilaq ara a d-iffeɣ yir wawal seg imi nwen, meɛna init-ed kan imeslayen iṣelḥen s wayes ara sfaydin wid ara sen-islen yerna ad nnernin di liman.
29Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if [there be] any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear [it].
30Ur sseḥzanet ara Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, axaṭer yis i kkun-iḍbeɛ Sidi Ṛebbi i wass i deg ara innekmal leslak-nwen.
30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which ye have been sealed for [the] day of redemption.
31Ekkset si gar-awen : ddɣel, taɛdawit, zzɛaf, urrif, leɛyaḍ, rregmat d wayen akk n diri.
31Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;
32Ilit d iḥninen msamaḥet wway gar-awen, akken i wen-isemmeḥ Sidi Ṛebbi s Lmasiḥ.
32and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
