1Cbut Sidi Ṛebbi baba-twen imi tellam d arraw-is eɛzizen ;
1Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,
2ddut di tudert-nwen s leḥmala am akken i ɣ-iḥemmel Lmasiḥ i gefkan iman-is ɣef ddemma-nneɣ d asfel i Sidi Ṛebbi, am lweɛda yesɛan rriḥa iɛeǧben i Sidi Ṛebbi.
2and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
3Kunwi s imasiḥiyen xḍut i zzna, i wayen ur neṣfi ara, i ṭṭmeɛ ; ayagi meṛṛa ur ilaq ara a d-ițwabdar gar-awen ulamma d abdar ;
3But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints;
4ur qebbḥet, ur d-qqaṛet imeslayen ur nesɛi lmeɛna, ur stehzayet ara ɣef wiyaḍ, ayagi d ayen n diri ; meɛna d imeslayen ara iḥemden Sidi Ṛebbi i glaqen a d-ffɣen seg imi-nwen ;
4and filthiness and foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient; but rather thanksgiving.
5axaṭer ilaq aț-țeẓrem belli wid izennun neɣ wid ixeddmen ayen ur neṣfi akk-d wid ur nesteqniɛ ara, imi wid ur nesteqniɛ ara cban wid iɛebbden lmeṣnuɛat, widak-agi meṛṛa ur țekkayen ara di tgeldit n Lmasiḥ akk-d Sidi Ṛebbi.
5For this ye are [well] informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6Ḥadret ad yili win ara kkun-ikellxen s lehduṛ ur nesɛi lmeɛna ; axaṭer ɣef wayagi i d-ițrusu wurrif n Sidi Ṛebbi ɣef wid i t ițɛuṣun.
6Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
7Ɣuṛ-wat ad yili wayen ara kkun icerken yid-sen.
7Be not ye therefore fellow-partakers with them;
8Ț-țideț, zik-nni tellam di ṭṭlam, meɛna tura s tikli nwen deg ubrid n Lmasiḥ, teffɣem ɣer tafat. Ddut ihi di tafat imi tellam d arraw n tafat ;
8for ye were once darkness, but now light in [the] Lord; walk as children of light,
9axaṭer tafat tețțawi ɣer wayen yelhan, ɣer lḥeqq akk-d tideț.
9(for the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth,)
10Meyyzet aț-țfehmem ayen iɛeǧben i Sidi Ṛebbi ;
10proving what is agreeable to the Lord;
11ur țekkayet ara di lecɣal n ṭṭlam ur nesɛi lfayda, meɛna kecfet-ed lecɣal-agi ɣer tafat.
11and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove [them],
12S tideț ayen xeddmen imdanen agi s tuffra, d lḥecma a t-id-nebder ;
12for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.
13lameɛna m'ara d-nekcef ayen xeddmen, lecɣal-nsen țbanen-d di tafat imi anda tella tafat, kullec yețban di tafat.
13But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.
14Axaṭer yura : Ddekwal a kečč yeṭṭsen, ekker-ed si ger lmegtin, imiren a d-tecṛeq fell-ak tafat n Lmasiḥ.+
14Wherefore he says, Wake up, [thou] that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.
15Ihi ḥadret mliḥ tikli-nwen, ur leḥḥut ara am imehbal, meɛna am wid itɛeqlen ;
15See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,
16faṛset lweqt axaṭer ussan d ixeddaɛen.
16redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17Daymi, ur smuhbulet ara, meɛna nadit aț-țissinem lebɣi n Sidi Ṛebbi.
17For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what [is] the will of the Lord.
18Ur sekkṛet ara, axaṭer ssekṛan yessufuɣ i webrid, lameɛna ǧǧet Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen ad iččaṛ ulawen-nwen ;
18And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,
19țemseǧhadet wway-gar-awen s isefra n Zabuṛ, cnut ɣef Sidi Ṛebbi, țḥemmidet-eț s wulawen-nwen.
19speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;
20Ḥemmdet Sidi Ṛebbi baba-tneɣ ɣef kullec, di mkul lweqt, s yisem n Sidna Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.
20giving thanks at all times for all things to him [who is] God and [the] Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
21Țemqadaṛet wway gar-awen i lmend n Lmasiḥ.
21submitting yourselves to one another in [the] fear of Christ.
22A tilawin, ḍuɛemt irgazen-nkunt am akken i glaq aț țḍuɛemt Sidi Ṛebbi !
22Wives, [submit yourselves] to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
23Axaṭer argaz d aqeṛṛuy ɣef tmeṭṭut-is, am akken yella Lmasiḥ d aqeṛṛuy ɣef tejmaɛt n imasiḥiyen ; Lmasiḥ d amsellek n tejmaɛt-agi yellan d lǧețța-s.
23for a husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the assembly. *He* [is] Saviour of the body.
24Am akken i tețḍuɛu tejmaɛt n imasiḥiyen Lmasiḥ, tilawin daɣen ilaq ad ḍuɛent irgazen-nsent di kullec.
24But even as the assembly is subjected to the Christ, so also wives to their own husbands in everything.
25Ay irgazen, mkul yiwen deg-wen ilaq ad iḥemmel tameṭṭut-is akken iḥemmel Lmasiḥ tajmaɛt n imasiḥiyen yerna isebbel tudert-is fell-as ;
25Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,
26s weɣḍas n waman d wawal n Sidi Ṛebbi yerra-ț teṣfa iwakken a ț-iqeddem i Sidi Ṛebbi ;
26in order that he might sanctify it, purifying [it] by the washing of water by [the] word,
27yebɣa a d-tban tejmaɛt-agi n imasiḥiyen zdat-es, teṣfa mbla ccwami, mbla akmac, mbla lɛib, aț-țili ț țimqeddest, ulac deg-s ayen ara s-d-nessukkes.
27that *he* might present the assembly to himself glorious, having no spot, or wrinkle, or any of such things; but that it might be holy and blameless.
28Akken daɣen, irgazen ilaq ad ḥemmlen tilawin-nsen am lǧețțat-nsen. Win iḥemmlen tameṭṭut-is d iman-is i gḥemmel.
28So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies: he that loves his own wife loves himself.
29Ulac win ikeṛhen lǧețța-s, lameɛna ițɛeyyic-iț, ițḥadar-iț am akken i gxeddem Lmasiḥ i tejmaɛt n imasiḥiyen,
29For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:
30axaṭer d leɛḍam n lǧețța-s i nella ; am akken yura :
30for we are members of his body; [we are of his flesh, and of his bones.]
31daymi argaz ilaq ad yeǧǧ baba-s d yemma-s iwakken ad iɛic ț-țmeṭṭut-is, dɣa di sin yid-sen ad uɣalen d yiwen.
31Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
32Bɣiɣ a wen-d-iniɣ belli ayagi d lbaḍna tameqqrant yeɛnan Lmasiḥ akk-d tejmaɛt n imasiḥiyen.
32This mystery is great, but *I* speak as to Christ, and as to the assembly.
33Ihi, mkul yiwen deg-wen ilaq ad iḥemmel tameṭṭut-is am yiman-is, ma ț-țameṭṭut ilaq aț-țqadeṛ argaz-is.
33But *ye* also, every one of you, let each so love his own wife as himself; but as to the wife [I speak] that she may fear the husband.
