1Syenna, Sidna Ɛisa yezger lebḥeṛ n Jlili ( iwumi qqaṛen daɣen lebḥeṛ n Tiberyas ).
1After these things Jesus went away beyond the sea of Galilee, [or] of Tiberias,
2Aṭas n yemdanen i geddan yid-es mi walan yesseḥlay imuḍan.
2and a great crowd followed him, because they saw the signs which he wrought upon the sick.
3Daymi Sidna Ɛisa yuli ɣer wedrar ad innejmaɛ d inelmaden-is.
3And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there sat with his disciples:
4Lɛid n wat Isṛail iwumi qqaṛen Tafaska n izimer n leslak tqeṛb-ed.
4but the passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.
5Akken i gwala lɣaci iteddu-d ɣuṛ-es, Sidna Ɛisa yenṭeq ɣer Filibus yenna-yas : Ansi ara d-naɣ aɣṛum i wannect agi n lɣaci ?
5Jesus then, lifting up his eyes and seeing that a great crowd is coming to him, says to Philip, Whence shall we buy loaves that these may eat?
6Yesteqsa-t kan iwakken ad i?er d acu ara s-d-yini, axaṭer nețța yeẓra yakan d acu ara yexdem.
6But this he said trying him, for he knew what he was going to do.
7Filibus yerra-yas : A Sidi ur d-keffunt ara mitin alef iwakken mkul yiwen deg-sen a t-id-iṣaḥ ciṭṭuḥ n weɣṛum.
7Philip answered him, Loaves for two hundred denarii are not sufficient for them, that each may have some little [portion].
8Andriyus gma-s n Semɛun Buṭrus, yellan seg inelmaden, yenṭeq ɣer Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas :
8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, says to him,
9Yella dagi yiwen weqcic yesɛa xemsa n teḥbulin n weɣṛum n tem?in akk-d sin iselman (iḥutiwen), lameɛna d acu ara d-xedmen i wannect-agi n lɣaci ?
9There is a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fishes; but this, what is it for so many?
10Sidna Ɛisa issendeh-iten ad sɣimen lɣaci. Deg wemkan-nni yeqwa leḥcic, lɣaci yeqqim ɣer lqaɛa, ad ilin azal n xemsa alaf n yergazen.
10[And] Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place: the men therefore sat down, in number about five thousand.
11Sidna Ɛisa yeddem-ed tiḥbulin-nni n weɣṛum, yeḥmed Ṛebbi icekkeṛ-it, ifṛeq-itent i lɣaci yeqqimen ɣef leḥcic, yefreq-asen daɣen iselman nni, ččan akk armi ṛwan.
11And Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, distributed [them] to those that were set down; and in like manner of the small fishes as much as they would.
12Mi ččan ṛwan, Sidna Ɛisa iluɛa inelmaden-is yenna-yasen : Jemɛet-ed ayen i d-yeqqimen akken ur ixețțeṛ ula d acemma.
12And when they had been filled, he says to his disciples, Gather together the fragments which are over and above, that nothing may be lost.
13Ayen i d-yegran si xemsa n teḥbulin-nni n weɣṛum n temẓin, jemɛen-t-id ččuṛen yis tnac n iḍellaɛen (tiquftin).
13They gathered [them] therefore together, and filled twelve hand-baskets full of fragments of the five barley loaves, which were over and above to those that had eaten.
14Lɣaci-nni mi walan lbeṛhan-agi n Sidna Ɛisa, țɛeggiḍen qqaṛen : Mbla ccekk argaz-agi d nețța i d nnbi-nni ara d-yasen ɣer ddunit.
14The men therefore, having seen the sign which Jesus had done, said, This is truly the prophet which is coming into the world.
15Sidna Ɛisa mi geẓra lɣaci bɣan a t-rren d agellid fell-asen, iḍeṛṛef iman-is, yuli ɣer wedrar.
15Jesus therefore knowing that they were going to come and seize him, that they might make [him] king, departed again to the mountain himself alone.
16Mi geɣli yiṭij, inelmaden-is uɣalen ṣubben ɣer rrif n lebḥeṛ.
16But when evening was come, his disciples went down to the sea,
17Rekben taflukt ad zegren ɣer ugemmaḍ, ɣer Kafernaḥum. Yeɣli-d yakan ṭṭlam, Sidna Ɛisa urɛad yelḥiq ɣuṛ-sen.
17and having gone on board ship, they went over the sea to Capernaum. And it had already become dark, and Jesus had not come to them,
18Yekker-ed yiwen waḍu iǧehden, lebḥeṛ yerwi.
18and the sea was agitated by a strong wind blowing.
19Inelmaden-is yuɣ-iten lḥal wwḍen ɣer tlemmast n lebḥeṛ. Walan Sidna Ɛisa iteddu-d ɣuṛ-sen, ileḥḥu-d ɣef wuḍar s ufella n waman. Mi d-iqeṛṛeb ɣer teflukt nsen, xelɛen.
19Having rowed then about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they see Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the ship; and they were frightened.
20Sidna Ɛisa yenna yasen : Ur țțaggadet ara, d nekk !
20But he says to them, It is I: be not afraid.
21Bɣan a t-srekben yid-sen di tefluk meɛna ufan-d iman-nsen wwḍen ɣer wemkan anda țeddun.
21They were willing therefore to receive him into the ship; and immediately the ship was at the land to which they went.
22Azekka-nni, lɣaci yeqqimen agummaḍ i lebḥeṛ wwin-d s lexbaṛ belli anagar yiwet n teflukt i gellan dinna, yerna Sidna Ɛisa ur yeddi ara d inelmaden-is mi ṛuḥen di teflukt.
22On the morrow the crowd which stood on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other little ship there except that into which his disciples had got, and that Jesus had not gone with his disciples into the ship, but [that] his disciples had gone away alone;
23Dɣa tiflukin nniḍen i d-yusan si temdint n Tiberyas, wwḍent-ed ɣer wemkan-nni anda akken i sen-yebḍa Sidna Ɛisa aɣṛum mi geḥmed Ṛebbi.
23(but other little ships out of Tiberias came near to the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks;)
24Mi walan lɣaci ulac dinna Sidna Ɛisa akk-d inelmaden-is, rekben tiflukin, zegren ɣer Kafernaḥum ad qellben fell-as.
24when therefore the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, *they* got into the ships, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
25Mi t-ufan dinna, nnan-as : A Sidi, melmi d-tusiḍ ɣer dagi ?
25And having found him the other side of the sea, they said to him, Rabbi, when art thou arrived here?
26Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yasen : S tideț a wen-d-iniɣ : imi teččam aɣṛum armi teṛwam i tețqellibem fell-i mačči imi tfehmem lbeṛhanat-iw.
26Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me not because ye have seen signs, but because ye have eaten of the loaves and been filled.
27Ur țḥebbiṛet ara ɣef yiɛebbaḍ-nwen, ḥebbṛet ɣef tudert yețdumun i dayem. Tudert-agi, d Mmi-s n bunadem ara wen-ț-id-yefken, Baba Ṛebbi yefka-yas tazmert imi i t-iɛellem s ṭṭabeɛ-ines.
27Work not [for] the food which perishes, but [for] the food which abides unto life eternal, which the Son of man shall give to you; for him has the Father sealed, [even] God.
28Nnan-as : D acu ara nexdem ihi, d acu i gețṛaǧu Ṛebbi deg-nneɣ ?
28They said therefore to him, What should we do that we may work the works of God?
29Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Sidi Ṛebbi yețṛaǧu deg-wen aț-țamnem s win i d-iceggeɛ !
29Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom *he* has sent.
30Nutni nnan-as : Ihi acu n lbeṛhan ara ɣ-d-tessekneḍ akken a namen yis-ek ? D acu ara txedmeḍ ?
30They said therefore to him, What sign then doest thou that we may see and believe thee? what dost thou work?
31Lejdud-nneɣ ččan tamanna deg unezṛuf, akken yura di ccariɛa n Musa : Yefka-yasen ččan aɣṛum i d-yekkan seg igenni.
31Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.
32Dɣa Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : S tideț nniɣ-awen, mačči d Musa i wen-d-yefkan aɣṛum i d-yekkan seg igenni, lameɛna d Baba Ṛebbi ! D nețța i wen-d-yețțaken aɣṛum n ṣṣeḥ i d-itekken seg igenni.
32Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, [It is] not Moses that has given you the bread out of heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.
33Axaṭer aɣṛum i d-yekkan s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi, d win i d-iṣubben seg igenni, d nețța i d-yețțaken tudert n ṣṣeḥ i yemdanen.
33For the bread of God is he who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.
34Nutni nnan-as : A Sidi țțak-aɣ-d mkul ass seg weɣṛum-agi.
34They said therefore to him, Lord, ever give to us this bread.
35Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : D Nekk i d aɣṛum yețțaken tudert. Win i d-yusan ɣuṛ-i ur yețțuɣal ara ad illaẓ, win yumnen yis-i ur yețțuɣal ara ad iffad.
35[And] Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes on me shall never thirst at any time.
36Nniɣ-awen-t-id yakan : twalam yerna tugim aț-țamnem !
36But I have said to you, that ye have also seen me and do not believe.
37Wid akk ara yi-d-yefk Baba Ṛebbi a d-asen ɣuṛ-i ; win ara d-yasen ɣuṛ-i ur t-țarraɣ ara ɣef tewwurt.
37All that the Father gives me shall come to me, and him that comes to me I will not at all cast out.
38Ur d-ṣubbeɣ ara seg igenni akken ad xedmeɣ lebɣi-w, ṣubbeɣ-d ad xedmeɣ lebɣi nwin i yi-d-iceggɛen.
38For I am come down from heaven, not that I should do *my* will, but the will of him that has sent me.
39Win i yi-d iceggɛen ur yebɣi ara ad yeɛṛeq ula d yiwen seg wid i yi-d-yefka, lameɛna a ten-id-sseḥyuɣ si lmut deg wass aneggaru.
39And this is the will of him that has sent me, that of all that he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day.
40D wagi i d lebɣi n Baba Ṛebbi: « kra n win yețmuqulen ɣer Mmi-s, yumen yis, ad yesɛu tudert n dayem yerna a t-id-sseḥyuɣ si lmut ass aneggaru.»
40For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son, and believes on him, should have life eternal; and I will raise him up at the last day.
41Lɣaci bdan smermugen gar-asen ɣef Sidna Ɛisa imi d yenna: « d nekk i d aɣṛum i d yekkan seg igenni.»
41The Jews therefore murmured about him, because he said, I am the bread which has come down out of heaven.
42Qqaṛen : « Mačči d Ɛisa mmi-s n Yusef wagi ? Nessen baba-s nessen yemma-s, amek i gezmer a d-yini tura : ṣubbeɣ-d seg igenni ? »
42And they said, Is not this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we have known? how then does *he* say, I am come down out of heaven?
43Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Beṛkat asmermeg gar-awen !
43Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44Ulac win i gzemren a d-yas ɣuṛ-i ma yella mačči d Baba Ṛebbi i s-d yessawlen, yerna nekk a t-id-sseḥyuɣ si lmut ass aneggaru.
44No one can come to me except the Father who has sent me draw him, and I will raise him up in the last day.
45Akken yura deg idlisen n lenbiya : « Ad lemden akk s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi. » Kra n win isellen i wawal n Baba Ṛebbi, ilemden s ɣuṛ-es, a d-yas ɣuṛ-i.
45It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every one that has heard from the Father [himself], and has learned [of him], comes to me;
46Ulac win yeẓran Baba Ṛebbi ala win i d-yusan s ɣuṛ-es, nețța yeẓra Baba Ṛebbi.
46not that any one has seen the Father, except he who is of God, he has seen the Father.
47S tideț nniɣ-awen : kra n win yumnen, yesɛa tudert n dayem,
47Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believes [on me] has life eternal.
48axaṭer d nekk i d aɣṛum i d yețțaken tudert.
48I am the bread of life.
49?as akken lejdud nwen ččan tamanna deg unezṛuf, mmuten.
49Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died.
50Atan weɣṛum i d-yekkan seg igenni : win ara yeččen seg-s ur yețmețțat ara.
50This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.
51D nekk i d aɣṛum n tudert i d yekkan seg igenni. Kra n win ara yeččen seg weɣṛum-agi ad yidir i dayem. Aɣṛum ara d-fkeɣ d lǧețța w, yis ara tɛic ddunit.
51I am the living bread which has come down out of heaven: if any one shall have eaten of this bread he shall live for ever; but the bread withal which I shall give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52Mi slan wat Isṛail i wannect-agi bdan țemjadalen qqaṛen wway gar asen : Amek akka i gezmer a ɣ-d-yefk aksum-is a t-nečč ?
52The Jews therefore contended among themselves, saying, How can he give us this flesh to eat?
53Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen daɣen : S tideț a wen-d-iniɣ: m'ur teččim ara si lǧețța n Mmi-s n bunadem, m'ur teswim ara seg idammen-is ur tețțili ara deg-wen tudert.
53Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Unless ye shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of man, and drunk his blood, ye have no life in yourselves.
54Win ara yeččen si lǧețța-w, ara yeswen seg idammen-iw ad yesɛu tudert n dayem, yerna a t-id-sseḥyuɣ si lmut ass aneggaru.
54He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood has life eternal, and I will raise him up at the last day:
55Axaṭer lǧețța-w d lqut n ṣṣeḥ, idammen-iw ț-țissit n ṣṣeḥ.
55for my flesh is truly food and my blood is truly drink.
56Win ara yeččen si lǧețța-w, ara yeswen seg idammen-iw ad yili deg-i nekk ad iliɣ deg-s.
56He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I in him.
57Baba Ṛebbi i yi-d-iceggɛen deg-s i tella tudert, d nețța i yi ssidiren. Akken daɣen win ara yeččen seg-i ad yidir yis-i.
57As the living Father has sent me and I live on account of the Father, *he* also who eats me shall live also on account of me.
58D wagi i d aɣṛum i d-yekkan seg igenni. Mačči am weɣṛum-nni i ččan lejdud-nwen ; nutni mmuten, ma d win ara yeččen aɣṛum-agi ad yidir i dayem.
58This is the bread which has come down out of heaven. Not as the fathers ate and died: he that eats this bread shall live for ever.
59D imeslayen-agi i d-yenna Sidna Ɛisa asmi i gesselmed di lǧameɛ n wat Isṛail di temdint n Kafernaḥum.
59These things he said in [the] synagogue, teaching in Capernaum.
60Mi s-slan inelmaden-is, aṭas deg-sen nnan : Imeslayen-agi weɛṛen, anwa i gzemren a ten-yeqbel ?
60Many therefore of his disciples having heard [it] said, This word is hard; who can hear it?
61Sidna Ɛisa, mi geẓra inelmaden is sgermuden wway gar-asen ɣef wayen i d-yenna, yenna-yasen : Iqṛeḥ-ikkun lḥal ?
61But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmur concerning this, said to them, Does this offend you?
62D acu ara tinim ihi m'ara teẓrem Mmi-s n bunadem yuɣal ɣer wanda yella di tazwara ?
62If then ye see the Son of man ascending up where he was before?
63D Ṛṛuḥ i d-yețțaken tudert amdan ur yețțaweḍ ɣer wacemma ma yețkel ɣef yiman-is. Imeslayen-agi i wen-d-nniɣ, d wigi i d Ṛṛuḥ, d wigi i ț-țudert.
63It is the Spirit which quickens, the flesh profits nothing: the words which I have spoken unto you are spirit and are life.
64Lexsaṛa : llan kra gar awen ur numin ara ! Si tazwara Sidna Ɛisa yeẓra anwi deg-sen ur numin ara, yeẓra daɣen anwa ara t-ixedɛen.
64But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would deliver him up.
65Yenna-yasen daɣen : Daymi i wen-d-nniɣ : ulac win i gzemren a d-yas ɣuṛ-i ma yella mačči d Baba Ṛebbi i s-d-issawlen. »
65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no one can come to me unless it be given to him from the Father.
66Seg imiren, aṭas i t-yeǧǧan seg inelmaden-is , rewlen fell-as.
66From that [time] many of his disciples went away back and walked no more with him.
67Sidna Ɛisa yezzi ɣer tnac inelmaden-is, yenna-yasen : Ur tebɣim ara aț-țṛuḥem ula d kunwi ?
67Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68Semɛun Buṭrus yerra-yas : A Sidi, anwa i ɣer ara nṛuḥ ? ?uṛ-ek i gella wawal n tudert.
68Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast words of life eternal;
69Nukni nesɛa laman deg-k, yerna neẓra belli d kečč i d Imqeddes i d-iceggeɛ Sidi Ṛebbi.
69and we have believed and known that thou art the holy one of God.
70Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yasen : Mačči d nekk i kkun-ixtaṛen di tnac yid-wen ? ?as akken yiwen gar awen d Cciṭan .
70Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you the twelve? and of you one is a devil.
71Yenna-d annect-agi ɣef Yudas, mmi-s n Semɛun n taddart n Qeṛyut, yiwen ger tnac inelmaden-is ara t-ixedɛen.
71Now he spoke of Judas [the son] of Simon, Iscariote, for he [it was who] should deliver him up, being one of the twelve.
