Titus

3

1Smekti-ten-id ad qadṛen wid iḥekkmen, ad țțaɣen awal, ad ilin wejden ad xedmen lecɣal yelhan :
1Put them in mind to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient to rule, to be ready to do every good work,
2ur kkaten deg yiwen, ad ilin d imhenniyen d imawlan n tifrat, yeččuṛen d leḥnana ɣer yemdanen meṛṛa.
2to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, [to be] mild, shewing all meekness towards all men.
3Axaṭer ula d nukni zik txuṣṣ-aɣ tmusni, ur nețțaɣ ara awal ; nella nḍaɛ, nella d aklan n zzhu d wayen akk s wayes i ɣ-tesseḍmeɛ ddunit, nella d imcumen, nɛac di tismin, nekṛeh wiyaḍ, wiyaḍ keṛhen-aɣ.
3For we were once ourselves also without intelligence, disobedient, wandering in error, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.
4Meɛna asmi i d-ibeggen Sidi Ṛebbi leḥnana-s d leḥmala-s i yemdanen,
4But when the kindness and love to man of our Saviour God appeared,
5isellek-aɣ mačči axaṭer d iḥeqqiyen i nella meɛna isellek-aɣ s ṛṛeḥma-s tameqqrant ; yessared-aɣ si ddnub-nneɣ s tezmert n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen iwakken a d-nlal d ijdiden ;
5not on the principle of works which [have been done] in righteousness which *we* had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us through [the] washing of regeneration and renewal of [the] Holy Spirit,
6Sidi Ṛebbi yeččuṛ-aɣ s Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ amsellek-nneɣ,
6which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7iwakken s ṛṛeḥma-ines a nuɣal d iḥeqqiyen zdat Sidi Ṛebbi, a ɣ-d tețțunefk tudert n dayem i nețṛaǧu.
7that, having been justified by *his* grace, we should become heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.
8Awal-agi ț-țideț yerna bɣiɣ a d tesmektayeḍ ayagi kull-as iwakken wid yumnen s Ṛebbi, ad xeddmen anagar ayen yelhan, d ayagi kan i gelhan yerna yeṣleḥ i yemdanen !
8The word [is] faithful, and I desire that thou insist strenuously on these things, that they who have believed God may take care to pay diligent attention to good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
9Ur sṭuqqutet ara awal mbla lmeɛna ɣef wayen yeɛnan izuṛan n lejdud neɣ čaqlalat d umenɣi ɣef ddemma n ccariɛa, axaṭer d ayen ur nesɛi azal, ur neṣliḥ.
9But foolish questions, and genealogies, and strifes, and contentions about the law, shun; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10Ma yella tenhiḍ tikkelt neɣ snat win i d-yeskaren ccwal, ur k-d-ismeḥses ara, ssebɛed-it fell-ak ;
10An heretical man after a first and second admonition have done with,
11amdan am wagi yeṭṭaxeṛ i webrid n tideț, ddnub i yiri-s.
11knowing that such a one is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.
12M'ara k-n-ceggɛeɣ gma-tneɣ Artimas neɣ Tucik, ilaq-ak a d-ṛuḥeḍ a nemlil di temdint n Nikubulis, dinna ara sɛeddiɣ ccetwa.
12When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, use diligence to come to me to Nicopolis; for I have decided to winter there.
13Eɛṛeḍ aț-țɛiwneḍ Zennac yellan d abugaṭu yesnen ccariɛa akk-d Abulus m'ara ṛuḥen ad safṛen, tefkeḍ-asen ayen ara ḥwiǧen.
13Zenas the lawyer and Apollos set forward diligently on their way, that nothing may be lacking to them;
14Axaṭer ilaq daɣen atmaten-nneɣ ad lemden ad xedmen i wiyaḍ lecɣal yelhan, iwakken ad sɛun ayen ara ḥwiǧen, ur țțilin ara mbla lfayda.
14and let ours also learn to apply themselves to good works for necessary wants, that they may not be unfruitful.
15Wid akk yellan yid-i țsellimen-d fell-ak. Sellem ɣef wid i ɣ-ihemmlen i gḍuɛen Sidi Ṛebbi. Ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi a d-ters fell-awen !
15All with me salute thee. Salute those who love us in [the] faith. Grace [be] with you all.
