1Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, my soul.
2Girsiu Viešpatį, kol gyvas būsiu; giedosiu gyrių savo Dievui, kol gyvensiu.
2While I live, I will praise Yahweh. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.
3Nesudėkite vilčių į kunigaikščius, į žmonių sūnus, kurie nieko išgelbėti negali!
3Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.
4Kai dvasia jų iškeliauja, jie sugrįžta į žemę; tą pačią dieną jų sumanymai žūva.
4His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.
5Laimingas, kurio pagalba yra Jokūbo Dievas, kuris viltis sudėjo į Viešpatį, savo Dievą.
5Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:
6Jis sukūrė dangų, žemę, jūrą ir visa, kas juose yra. Jis ištikimas per amžius.
6who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
7Jis gina teises prispaustųjų, alkaniems parūpina duonos. Kalinius išleidžia Viešpats.
7who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners.
8Viešpats atveria akis akliesiems, pakelia parpuolusius; Viešpats myli teisiuosius.
8Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.
9Svetimšalį Viešpats saugo, našlaitį ir našlę globoja, o nedoriesiems užkerta kelią.
9Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
10Viešpats karaliaus per amžius, tavo Dievas, Sione, per visas kartas! Girkite Viešpatį!
10Yahweh will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise Yah!
