¹Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the choice sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

²according to a foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied!

³Isaorana anie Andriamanitra, Rain'i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika, Izay niteraka antsika indray araka ny haben'ny famindram-pony ho amin'ny fanantenana velona tamin'ny nitsanganan'i Jesosy Kristy tamin'ny maty,

³Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness did beget us again to a living hope, through the rising again of Jesus Christ out of the dead,

⁴ho amin'ny lova tsy mety simba, tsy misy loto, tsy mety levona, voatahiry any an-danitra ho anareo,

⁴to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you,

⁵izay arovan'ny herin'Andriamanitra amin'ny finoana ho amin'ny famonjena efa vonona haseho any am-parany.

⁵who, in the power of God are being guarded, through faith, unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,

⁶Izany no iravoravoanareo, na dia ampalahelovina vetivety ankehitriny amin'ny fakam-panahy maro samy hafa aza ianareo, raha tsy maintsy hisy izany,

⁶in which ye are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in manifold trials,

⁷mba ho hita ho fiderana sy voninahitra ary fankalazana ny fizahan-toetra ny finoanareo (izay tsara lavitra noho ny volamena mety ho simba, na dia voazaha toetra tamin'ny afo aza), dia amin'ny hisehoan'i Jesosy Kristy;

⁷that the proof of your faith — much more precious than of gold that is perishing, and through fire being approved — may be found to praise, and honour, and glory, in the revelation of Jesus Christ,

⁸Izay, na dia tsy mbola hitanareo aza, dia tianareo, ary na dia tsy hitanareo ankehitriny aza, anefa, satria inoanareo, dia iravoravoanareo amin'ny fifaliana tsy azo tononina sady be voninahitra,

⁸whom, not having seen, ye love, in whom, now not seeing and believing, ye are glad with joy unspeakable and glorified,

⁹mandray ny anton'ny finoanareo, dia ny famonjena ny fanahy.

⁹receiving the end of your faith — salvation of souls;

¹⁰concerning which salvation seek out and search out did prophets who concerning the grace toward you did prophecy,

¹¹searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was manifesting, testifying beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these,

¹²Ary naseho tamin'ireo fa tsy ho azy, fa ho anareo no nanompoany ny amin'izany zavatra izany, izay voalaza aminareo ankehitriny, tamin'ny tenin'ireo nitory ny filazantsara taminareo amin'ny Fanahy Masina, Izay nirahina avy tany an-danitra; izany zavatra izany dia tian'ny anjely hodinihina.

¹²to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who did proclaim good news to you,) in the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, to which things messengers do desire to bend looking.

¹³[Famporisihana hitondra tena mifanaraka anim'ny filazantsara] Koa amin'izany sikino ny sainareo, dia mahonona tena, ka antenao tsara ny fahasoavana izay ho entina ho anareo amin'ny hisehoan'i Jesosy Kristy;

¹³Wherefore having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly upon the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,

¹⁴tahaka ny zanaka manoa, tsy mitondra tena araka ny filanareo fahiny tamin'ny tsi-fahalalanareo;

¹⁴as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance,

¹⁵fa araka ny fahamasinan'ilay niantso anareo, dia aoka mba ho masina koa ianareo amin'ny fitondran-tena rehetra,

¹⁵but according as He who did call you [is] holy, ye also, become holy in all behaviour,

¹⁶satria voasoratra hoe: "Ho masina ianareo, satria masina Aho" (Lev. 11.44).

¹⁶because it hath been written, `Become ye holy, because I am holy;`

¹⁷Ary raha Ilay tsy mizaha tavan'olona, fa mitsara araka ny asan'izy rehetra, no antsoinareo hoe Ray, dia mitondrà tena amin'ny fahatahorana mandritra ny andron'ny fivahinianareo etỳ ;

¹⁷and if on the Father ye do call, who without acceptance of persons is judging according to the work of each, in fear the time of your sojourn pass ye,

¹⁸fa fantatrareo fa tsy zavatra mety ho simba, tahaka ny volafotsy sy ny volamena, no nanavotana anareo tamin'ny fitondran-tena adala, izay azonareo tamin'ny nentin-drazana,

¹⁸having known that, not with corruptible things — silver or gold — were ye redeemed from your foolish behaviour delivered by fathers,

¹⁹fa ny rà soan'i Kristy, toy ny ran'ny zanak'ondry tsy misy kilema ary tsy misy pentimpentina;

¹⁹but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted — Christ`s —

²⁰Izay fantatra rahateo, fony tsy mbola ary ny fanorenan'izao tontolo izao, fa efa naseho tamin'izao andro farany izao noho ny aminareo

²⁰foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and manifested in the last times because of you,

²¹Izay mino an'Andriamanitra amin'ny alalany, dia Ilay nanangana Azy tamin'ny maty ka nanome voninahitra Azy,- mba hiorenan'ny finoanareo sy ny fanantenanareo amin'Andriamanitra.

²¹who through him do believe in God, who did raise out of the dead, and glory to him did give, so that your faith and hope may be in God.

²²Satria efa nodiovinareo ny fanahinareo tamin'ny fanarahana ny fahamarinana ho amin'ny fitiavan-drahalahy tsy miangatra dia mifankatiava fatratra amin'ny fo; [ Na:(amin'ny fo madio)]

²²Your souls having purified in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to brotherly love unfeigned, out of a pure heart one another love ye earnestly,

²³fa efa teraka indray ianareo, tsy tamin'ny voa mety ho lò, fa tamin'ny tsy mety ho lò, dia ny tenin'Andriamanitra, izay velona sady maharitra.

²³being begotten again, not out of seed corruptible, but incorruptible, through a word of God — living and remaining — to the age;

²⁴Fa "ny nofo rehetra dia tahaka ny ahitra, Ary izay mety ho voninahiny dia tahaka ny vonin'ny ahitra. Malazo ny ahitra, ka mihintsana ny voniny;Fa ny tenin'ny Tompo maharitra mandrakizay" (Isa. 40.6 - 8). Ary izany no tenin'ny filazantsara izay notorina taminareo.

²⁴because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; wither did the grass, and the flower of it fell away,

²⁵Fa ny tenin'ny Tompo maharitra mandrakizay" (Isa. 40.6 - 8). Ary izany no tenin'ny filazantsara izay notorina taminareo.

²⁵and the saying of the Lord doth remain — to the age; and this is the saying that was proclaimed good news to you.
