¹Anaka, maneke ny ray sy ny reninareo ao amin'ny Tompo, fa marina izany.

¹The children! obey your parents in the Lord, for this is righteous;

²Manajà ny ray sy ny reninao (fa izany no didy voalohany misy teny fikasana),

²honour thy father and mother,

³mba hahita soa ianao sy ho maro andro ambonin'ny tany (Deo. 5. 16).

³which is the first command with a promise, `That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live a long time upon the land.`

⁴Ary ianareo ray, aza mampahatezitra ny zanakareo, fa tezao amin'ny famaizana sy ny fananaran'ny Tompo izy.

⁴And the fathers! provoke not your children, but nourish them in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.

⁵Hianareo mpanompo, maneke ny tomponareo araka ny nofo amin'ny fahatahorana sy ny fangovitana, amin'ny fahatsoran'ny fonareo, toy ny fanekena an'i Kristy ihany,

⁵The servants! obey the masters according to the flesh with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to the Christ;

⁶tsy amin'ny fanompoana eo imaso, tahaka ny mpila sitraka amin'olona, fa tahaka ny mpanompon'i Kristy manao izay sitrapon'Andriamanitra amin'ny fo,

⁶not with eye-service as men-pleasers, but as servants of the Christ, doing the will of God out of soul,

⁷amin'ny sitrapo manao fanompoana toy ny amin'ny Tompo, fa tsy amin'olona,

⁷with good-will serving, as to the Lord, and not to men,

⁸satria fantatrareo fa izay soa ataon'ny olona rehetra no horaisiny amin'ny Tompo, na andevo na tsy andevo izy.

⁸having known that whatever good thing each one may do, this he shall receive from the Lord, whether servant or freeman.

⁹Ary ianareo tompo, manaova toy izany aminy kosa, ka atsaharo ny fandrahonana, satria fantatrareo fa ny Tompony sady Tomponareo koa dia any an-danitra; ary tsy misy fizahan-tavan'olona aminy.

⁹And the masters! the same things do ye unto them, letting threatening alone, having known that also your Master is in the heavens, and acceptance of persons is not with him.

¹⁰[Ny adim-panahin'ny Kristiana, sy ny fiadiana atolotr'Andriamanitra azy] Farany, mahereza ao amin'ny Tompo sy amin'ny herin'ny faherezany.

¹⁰As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might;

¹¹Tafio avokoa ny fiadian'Andriamanitra, mba hahazoanareo hifahatra amin'ny fanangolen'ny devoly.

¹¹put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil,

¹²Fa isika tsy mitolona amin'ny nofo aman-drà, fa amin'ny fanapahana sy amin'ny fanjakana sy amin'ny mpanjakan'izao fahamaizinana izao, dia amin'ny fanahy ratsy eny amin'ny rivotra. [ Gr. lanitra]

¹²because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places;

¹³Ary noho izany, dia raiso avokoa ny fiadian'Andriamanitra, mba hahazoanareo hanohitra amin'ny andro mahory; ary rehefa vitanareo avokoa, dia hahafahatra ianareo.

¹³because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done — to stand.

¹⁴Mifahara ary, ka sikino fahamarinana ny valahanareo, ary mitafia ny rariny ho fiarovan-tratra,

¹⁴Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about in truth, and having put on the breastplate of the righteousness,

¹⁵ary kiraroy ny fahavononam-panahy avy amin'ny filazantsaran'ny fihavanana ny tongotrareo;

¹⁵and having the feet shod in the preparation of the good-news of the peace;

¹⁶ary ho fanampin'izany rehetra izany dia tano ny finoana ho ampinga, izay hahazoanareo hamono ny zana-tsipìka mirehitra rehetra izay alefan'ilay ratsy.

¹⁶above all, having taken up the shield of the faith, in which ye shall be able all the fiery darts of the evil one to quench,

¹⁷Ary raiso ny famonjena ho fiarovan-doha sy ny tenin'Andriamanitra ho sabatry ny Fanahy;

¹⁷and the helmet of the salvation receive, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the saying of God,

¹⁸ary mivavaha mandrakariva ao amin'ny Fanahy amin'ny fivavahana rehetra sy ny fangatahana, ka miambena amin'izany amin'ny faharetana sy ny fangatahana rehetra ho an'ny olona masina rehetra,

¹⁸through all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to this same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints —

¹⁹ary ho ahy koa mba homena ahy ny hiloa-bava amin'ny fahasahiana hampahafantatra ny zava-miafina momba ny filazantsara

¹⁹and in behalf of me, that to me may be given a word in the opening of my mouth, in freedom, to make known the secret of the good news,

²⁰(iraka migadra noho izany aho), mba hiteny izany amin'ny fahasahiana aho, toy izay mety hoteneniko. [ Gr. ambasadôra]

²⁰for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may speak freely — as it behoveth me to speak.

²¹Fa mba ho fantatrareo koa izay toetro, dia Tykiko, rahalahy malala sady mpanompo mahatoky ao amin'ny Tompo, no hampahalala anareo ny zavatra rehetra;

²¹And that ye may know — ye also — the things concerning me — what I do, all things make known to you shall Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful ministrant in the Lord,

²²izy no nirahiko hilaza izany zavatra izany indrindra aminareo, mba ho fantatrareo ny toetray, ary mba hamporisihiny ny fonareo.

²²whom I did send unto you for this very thing, that ye might know the things concerning us, and that he might comfort your hearts.

²³Fiadanana anie ho an'ny rahalahy ary fitiavana mbamin'ny finoana avy amin'Andriamanitra Ray sy Jesosy Kristy Tompo.Ny fahasoavana anie ho amin'izay rehetra tia an'i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika amin'ny fitiavana tsy mety levona. Amena.
