¹[Faminaniana ny amin'ny handravana an'i Tyro] Ary tamin'ny andro voalohany amin'ny volana tamin'ny taona fahiraika ambin'ny folo dia tonga tamiko ny tenin'Jehovah nanao hoe: zananivavy.

¹And it cometh to pass, in the eleventh year, in the first of the month, there hath been a word of Jehovah unto me, saying: `Son of man,

²Ry zanak'olona, noho ny nandatsan'i Tyro an'i Jerosalema hoe: Hià! sakoa izay! rava ilay vavahadin'ny firenena! Mba hifindra amiko kosa izao, ka ho feno aho, fa izy kosa ho foana,

²Because that Tyre hath said of Jerusalem: Aha, she hath been broken, the doors of the peoples, She hath turned round unto me, I am filled — she hath been laid waste,

³Dia izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Indro, hamely anao Aho, ry Tyro, ka hampiakatra ny firenena maro hiady aminao, tahaka ny fampiakatry ny ranomasina ny onjany.

³Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, O Tyre, And have caused to come up against thee many nations, As the sea causeth its billows to come up.

⁴Ary horavan'ireo ny mandan'i Tyro, sady harodany ny tilikambony; Dia hofafako hiala aminy ny vovo-taniny, ka hataoko tahaka ny vatolampy mangadihady izy.

⁴And they have destroyed the walls of Tyre, And they have broken down her towers, And I have scraped her dust from her, And made her for a clear place of a rock.

⁵Ho famelarana harato eo amin'ny ranomasina izy; Fa Izaho no niteny izany, hoy Jehovah Tompo, ka dia ho babon'ny-firenena izy.

⁵A spreading place of nets she is in the midst of the sea, For I — I have spoken — an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, And she hath been for a spoil to nations.

⁶Ary ny zana-bohiny eny an-tanety dia hovonoina amin'ny sabatra; ka dia ho fantatra fa Izaho no Jehovah.[Heb. zananivavy]

⁶And her daughters who [are] in the field, by sword they are slain, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah,

⁷Fa izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Indro, ho entiko avy any avaratra ho any Tyro Nebokadnezara, mpanjakan'i Babylona, andrianan'ny andriana, mitondra soavaly sy kalesy sy mpitaingin-tsoavaly ary vahoaka betsaka.

⁷For, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in unto Tyre Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, From the north — a king of kings, With horse, and with chariot, and with horsemen, Even an assembly, and a numerous people.

⁸Ny zana-bohitrao any an-tanety dia hovonoiny amin'ny sabatra; ary hanandratra tilikambo sy tovon-tany sady hanangana ampinga lehibe hamelezany anao izy.[Heb zanakao-vavy]

⁸Thy daughters in the field by sword he slayeth, And he hath made against thee a fort, And hath poured out against thee a mount, And hath raised against thee a buckler.

⁹Ary hametraka lohondry vy fandravana eo akaikin'ny mandanao izy, sady horavany amin'ny fiadiany ny tilikambonao.[Heb. sabany]

⁹And a battering-ram before him he placeth against thy walls, And thy towers he breaketh by his weapons.

¹⁰Ho feno ny vovo-taniny ianao noho ny habetsahan'ny soavaliny; hihorohoro ny mandanao noho ny fikorodondrodon'ny mpitaingin-tsoavaly sy ny kodia sy ny kalesy, raha miditra eo amin'ny vavahadinao tahaka ny olona miditra amin'ny tanàna izay voabanga izy.

¹⁰From the abundance of his horses cover thee doth their dust, From the noise of horseman, and wheel, and rider, Shake do thy walls, in his coming in to thy gates, As the coming into a city broken-up.

¹¹Ny kitron-tsoavaliny no hanitsakitsahany ny lalambenao rehetra; ny olonao dia hovonoiny amin'ny sabatra, ary ny tsangambatonao mafy dia hianjera amin'ny tany.

¹¹With hoofs of his horses he treadeth all thine out-places, Thy people by sword he doth slay, And the pillars of thy strength to the earth come down.

¹²Hobaboiny ny hirenao, horobainy ny rantonao, harodany ny mandanao, horavany ny tranonao mahafinantra; ary ny vatonao sy ny hazonao sy ny vovokao dia hataony any amin'ny rano.

¹²And they have spoiled thy wealth, And they have plundered thy merchandise, And they have thrown down thy walls, And thy desirable houses they break down, And thy stones, and thy wood, and thy dust, In the midst of the waters they place.

¹³Ary hatsahatro ny feon'ny hiranao, sady tsy ho re intsony ny fanenon'ny lokanganao.

¹³And I have caused the noise of thy songs to cease, And the voice of thy harps is heard no more.

¹⁴Dia hataoko toy ny vatolampy mangadihady ianao ka ho famelarana harato sady tsy haorina intsony; fa Izaho Jehovah no niteny, hoy Jehovah Tompo.

¹⁴And I have given thee up for a clear place of a rock, A spreading-place of nets thou art, Thou art not built up any more, For I, Jehovah, I have spoken, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁵Izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo amin'i Tyro: Tsy hihorohoro va ny moron-dranomasina noho ny fikotrokotroky ny firodananao, raha mitrona ny voatrabaka, ary misy vonoana eo ampovoanao?

¹⁵Thus said the Lord Jehovah to Tyre: Do not — from the noise of thy fall, In the groaning of the wounded, In the slaying of the slaughter in thy midst, The isles shake?

¹⁶Dia hidina hiala amin'ny seza fiandrianany ireo andrianan'ny ranomasina rehetra ka hiala akanjo sy hanaisotra ny fitadiany misoratsoratra; Hovotra no hitafiany, ka hipetraka amin'ny tany izy; ary hangovitra isaky ny indray mipi-maso izy ka ho gaga anao.

¹⁶And come down from off their thrones have all princes of the sea, And they have turned aside their robes, And their embroidered garments strip off, Trembling they put on, on the earth they sit, And they have trembled every moment, And they have been astonished at thee,

¹⁷Ary hanao hira fahalahelovana ny aminao izy ka hanao aminao hoe: Indrisy! rava ianao, ry ilay nonenan'ny avy any an-dranomasina! Dia ilay tanàna malaza izay nahery teo amin'ny ranomasina, dia izy mbamin'ny mponina ao, izay nampahatahotra ny mponina rehetra eo aminy!

¹⁷And have lifted up for thee a lamentation, And said to thee: How hast thou perished, That art inhabited from the seas, The praised city, that was strong in the sea, She and her inhabitants, Who put their terror on all her inhabitants!

¹⁸Ankehitriny dia raiki-tahotra ny amoron-dranomasina amin'ny andro hianjeranao; Eny, toran-kovitra ny nosy any an-dranomasina noho ny haharavanao.

¹⁸Now they tremble, is it not the day of thy fall? Troubled have been the isles that [are] in the sea, at thine outgoing.

¹⁹Fa izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Raha hataoko tanàna lao tahaka ireo tanàna haolo ianao, ary hampiakariko aminao ny rano lalina, ka hosaronan'ny rano be ianao,

¹⁹For thus said the Lord Jehovah: In my making thee a city wasted, Like cities that have not been inhabited, In bringing up against thee the deep, Then covered thee have the great waters.

²⁰Dia hampidiniko hiaraka amin'izay mivarina any an-davaka ianao, Hankany amin'ny razana, ka hamponeniko any ambanin'ny tany ianao, dia any amin'ny fonenana efa lao hatramin'ny ela, hiaraka amin'izay mivarina any an-davaka, mba tsy honenana intsony; ary hasiako voninahitra eo amin'ny velona;Dia hataoko fampitahorana ianao, ka tsy ho eo intsony; Eny, hotadiavina ianao, nefa tsy ho hita intsony mandrakizay, hoy Jehovah Tompo.

²⁰And I have caused thee to go down, With those going down to the pit, Unto the people of old, And I have caused thee to dwell in the land, The lower parts — in wastes of old, With those going down to the pit, So that thou art not inhabited, And I have given beauty in the land of the living.

²¹Dia hataoko fampitahorana ianao, ka tsy ho eo intsony; Eny, hotadiavina ianao, nefa tsy ho hita intsony mandrakizay, hoy Jehovah Tompo.

²¹Wastes I do make thee, and thou art not, And thou art sought, and art not found any more — to the age, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!`
