¹[Ny nisehoan'ny anjely telo tamin'i Abrahama] Ary Jehovah niseho tamin'i Abrahama teo an-kazo terebintan'i Mamre; ary nipetraka teo am-baravaran'ny lainy izy, raha nafana ny andro;

¹And Jehovah appeareth unto him among the oaks of Mamre, and he is sitting at the opening of the tent, about the heat of the day;

²dia nanopy ny masony izy ka niery, ary, indreo, nisy telo lahy nijanona teo tandrifiny, ka nony nahita ireo izy, dia niala teo am-baravaran'ny lainy ka nihazakazaka hitsena azy, dia niankohoka tamin'ny tany

²and he lifteth up his eyes and looketh, and lo, three men standing by him, and he seeth, and runneth to meet them from the opening of the tent, and boweth himself towards the earth,

³ka nanao hoe: Tompo ô, raha mahita fitia eto imasonao aho, masìna ianao, aza dia mandalo ny mpanomponao.

³And he saith, `My Lord, if, I pray thee, I have found grace in thine eyes, do not, I pray thee, pass on from thy servant;

⁴Aoka hangalana rano kely ianareo hanasana ny tongotrareo; ary aoka mba hiala sasatra kely eo am-pototry ny hazo ianareo;

⁴let, I pray thee, a little water be accepted, and wash your feet, and recline under the tree;

⁵dia haka mofo kely aho hataonareo ody am-bavafo; ary rehefa afaka izany, dia handeha ihany ianareo; fa tonga atỳ amin'ny mpanomponareo ianareo. Ary hoy izy telo lahy: Ataovy ihany araka izay nolazainao.

⁵and I bring a piece of bread, and support ye your heart; afterwards pass on, for therefore have ye passed over unto your servant;` and they say, `So mayest thou do as thou has spoken.`

⁶Dia nandeha faingana Abrahama nankany an-day tany amin'i Saraha ka nanao hoe: Faingana, makà koba tsara toto intelon'ny famarana; dia fetafetao ka ataovy mofo.

⁶And Abraham hasteth towards the tent, unto Sarah, and saith, `Hasten three measures of flour-meal, knead, and make cakes;`

⁷Ary Abrahama kosa nihazakazaka nankany amin'ny omby, dia naka zanak'omby tanora sady tsara ka nanolotra azy tamin'ny ankizilahy, dia lasa faingana izy hamboatra azy.

⁷and Abraham ran unto the herd, and taketh a son of the herd, tender and good, and giveth unto the young man, and he hasteth to prepare it;

⁸Ary Abrahama naka ronono mandry sy ronono ary ilay zanak'omby efa namboariny, dia narosony teo anoloan'izy telo lahy; ary nijanona teo anilany teo ambanin'ny hazo izy, dia nihinana izy telo lahy.

⁸and he taketh butter and milk, and the son of the herd which he hath prepared, and setteth before them; and he is standing by them under the tree, and they do eat.

⁹Ary hoy izy telo lahy tamin'i Abrahama: Aiza Saraha vadinao? Ary hoy kosa izy: Indro, ao an-day izy.

⁹And they say unto him, `Where [is] Sarah thy wife?` and he saith, `Lo — in the tent;`

¹⁰Ary hoy Izy: Hiverina aminao tokoa Aho raha avy ny taona toy izao; ary, indro hanana zazalahy Saraha vadinao. Ary Saraha nandre izany teo am-baravaran'ny lay, izay teo ivohon'Ilay niteny.

¹⁰and he saith, `returning I return unto thee, about the time of life, and lo, to Sarah thy wife a son.`

¹¹Ary Abrahama sy Saraha dia samy efa zoki-olona ka nandroso fahanterana, ary efa nitsahatra tamin'ny fombam-behivavy Saraha.

¹¹And Sarah is hearkening at the opening of the tent, which is behind him;

¹²Ary Saraha dia nihomehy anakampo ka nanao hoe: Moa mbola hanana hafaliana ihany va aho rehefa tratrantitra toy izao, sady efa antitra koa itompokolahy?

¹²and Abraham and Sarah [are] aged, entering into days — the way of women hath ceased to be to Sarah;

¹³Ary hoy Jehovah tamin'i Abrahama: Nahoana no nihomehy Saraha ka nanao hoe: Hiteraka tokoa va aho, kanefa izao efa antitra izao?

¹³and Sarah laugheth in her heart, saying, `After I have waxed old I have had pleasure! — my lord also [is] old!`

¹⁴Fa moa misy zavatra mahagaga izay tsy hain'i Jehovah va? Amin'ny fotoan'andro raha avy ny taona toy izao dia hiverina aminao Aho, ary Saraha hanana zazalahy.

¹⁴And Jehovah saith unto Abraham, `Why [is] this? Sarah hath laughed, saying, Is it true really — I bear — and I am aged? Is any thing too wonderful for Jehovah? at the appointed time I return unto thee, about the time of life, and Sarah hath a son.`

¹⁵Dia nandà Saraha satria natahotra izy, ka nanao hoe: Tsy nihomehy aho tsy akory. Fa hoy Ilay niteny: Tsia; fa nihomehy mihitsy ianao.

¹⁵And Sarah denieth, saying, `I did not laugh;` for she hath been afraid; and He saith, `Nay, but thou didst laugh.`

¹⁶[Ny nifonan'i Abrahama ho an'i Sodoma] Dia nitsangana ireny lehilahy ireny ka niala teo, dia nitsinjo an'i Sodoma; ary Abrahama niaraka taminy hanatitra azy.

¹⁶And the men rise from thence, and look on the face of Sodom, and Abraham is going with them to send them away;

¹⁷Ary Jehovah nanao hoe: Hafeniko amin'i Abrahama va izay hataoko?

¹⁷and Jehovah said, `Am I concealing from Abraham that which I am doing,

¹⁸Fa Abrahama ho tonga firenena lehibe sy mahery tokoa, ary aminy no hitahiana ny firenena rehetra ambonin'ny tany.

¹⁸and Abraham certainly becometh a nation great and mighty, and blessed in him have been all nations of the earth?

¹⁹Fa efa nifidy azy Aho mba handidy ny zanany sy ny taranany mandimby azy hitandreman'ireo ny lalàn'i Jehovah hanao izay marina sy mahitsy, mba hitondran'i Jehovah amin'i Abrahama izay efa nolazainy taminy.

¹⁹for I have known him, that he commandeth his children, and his house after him (and they have kept the way of Jehovah), to do righteousness and judgment, that Jehovah may bring on Abraham that which He hath spoken concerning him.`

²⁰Ary hoy Jehovah: Ny fitarainan'i Sodoma sy Gomora dia lehibe tokoa, ary ny fahotany dia mavesatra indrindra;

²⁰And Jehovah saith, `The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah — because great; and their sin — because exceeding grievous:

²¹hidina Aho ka hizaha na efa nahatanteraka izany tokoa izy araka ny fitarainan'ny tany, izay efa tonga atỳ amiko, na tsia; ary raha tsy izany, dia ho fantatro.

²¹I go down now, and see whether according to its cry which is coming unto Me they have done completely — and if not — I know;`

²²Dia nihodina niala teo ireo lehilahy ireo ka nandroso ho any Sodoma; fa Abrahama kosa mbola nijanona teo anatrehan'i Jehovah.

²²and the men turn from thence, and go towards Sodom; and Abraham is yet standing before Jehovah.

²³Dia nanatona Abrahama ka nanao hoe: Haringanao miaraka amin'ny meloka va ny marina?

²³And Abraham draweth nigh and saith, `Dost Thou also consume righteous with wicked?

²⁴Angamba misy olo-marina dimam-polo ao an-tanàna; haringanao koa va, ka tsy hamindranao fo ny tanàna noho ny dimam-polo marina izay ao?

²⁴peradventure there are fifty righteous in the midst of the city; dost Thou also consume, and not bear with the place for the sake of the fifty — the righteous who [are] in its midst?

²⁵Sanatria Anao raha hanao toy izany ka hamono ny marina miaraka amin'ny meloka, ka ny marina hatao tahaka ny meloka; sanatria Anao izany! tsy hitsara marina va ny Mpitsara ny tany rehetra?

²⁵Far be it from Thee to do according to this thing, to put to death the righteous with the wicked; that it hath been — as the righteous so the wicked — far be it from Thee; doth the Judge of all the earth not do justice?`

²⁶Ary hoy Jehovah: Raha mahita dimam-polo marina ao an-tanàna Sodoma Aho, dia hamindrako fo ny tanàna rehetra noho ireny.

²⁶And Jehovah saith, `If I find in Sodom fifty righteous in the midst of the city, then have I borne with all the place for their sake.`

²⁷Dia namaly Abrahama ka nanao hoe: Indro, fa efa sahy niteny tamin'ny Tompo aho nefa vovoka sy lavenona:

²⁷And Abraham answereth and saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have willed to speak unto the Lord, and I — dust and ashes;

²⁸Angamba ho latsaka dimy ny dimam-polo marina; moa haringanao va ny tanàna rehetra noho ny dimy? Ary hoy Izy: Tsy handringana Aho, raha mahita dimy amby efa-polo ao.

²⁸peradventure there are lacking five of the fifty righteous — dost Thou destroy for five the whole of the city?` and He saith, `I destroy [it] not, if I find there forty and five.`

²⁹Dia, mbola niteny taminy indray izy ka nanao hoe: Angamba efa-polo no ho hita ao. Ary hoy Izy: Tsy mba hanao izany Aho noho ny efa-polo.

²⁹And he addeth again to speak unto Him and saith, `Peradventure there are found there forty?` and He saith, `I do [it] not, because of the forty.`

³⁰Ary hoy izy: Aoka anie mba tsy ho tezitra ny Tompo, fa mbola hiteny aho: Angamba telo-polo no ho hita ao. Ary hoy Izy: Tsy mba hanao izany Aho, raha mahita telo-polo ao.

³⁰And he saith, `Let it not be, I Pray thee, displeasing to the Lord, and I speak: peradventure there are found there thirty?` and He saith, `I do [it] not, if I find there thirty.`

³¹ArY hoy izy: Indro, fa efa sahy niteny tamin'ny Tompo aho: Angamba roa-polo no ho hita ao. Ary hoy Izy: Tsy mba handringana azy Aho noho ny roa-polo.

³¹And he saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have willed to speak unto the Lord: peradventure there are found there twenty?` and He saith, `I do not destroy [it], because of the twenty.`

³²Ary hoy izy: Aoka anie mba tsy ho tezitra Hianao, Tompo, fa hiteny izao indray mandeha izao ihany aho: Angamba folo no ho hita ao. Ary hoy Izy: Tsy mba handringana Aho noho ny folo.Dia lasa nandeha Jehovah, rehefa vita ny teny nataony tamin'i Abrahama; ary Abrahama niverina ho any amin'ny fonenany.

³²And he saith, `Let it not be, I pray Thee, displeasing to the Lord, and I speak only this time: peradventure there are found there ten?` and He saith, `I do not destroy [it], because of the ten.`

³³Dia lasa nandeha Jehovah, rehefa vita ny teny nataony tamin'i Abrahama; ary Abrahama niverina ho any amin'ny fonenany.

³³And Jehovah goeth on, when He hath finished speaking unto Abraham, and Abraham hath turned back to his place.
