¹Ary Andriamanitra nitso-drano an'i Noa sy ny zanany hoe; Maroa fara sy mihabetsaha ary mamenoa ny tany.

¹And God blesseth Noah, and his sons, and saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth;

²Ary ny tahotra sy horohoro anareo hahazo ny bibi-dia rehetra sy ny voro-manidina rehetra; ireny mbamin'izay rehetra mandady na mikisaka amin'ny tany sy ny hazandrano rehetra ao amin'ny ranomasina dia efa natolotra eo an-tananareo.

²and your fear and your dread is on every beast of the earth, and on every fowl of the heavens, on all that creepeth on the ground, and on all fishes of the sea — into your hand they have been given.

³Ny biby mihetsiketsika rehetra izay miaina dia ho fihinana ho anareo; dia efa nomeko anareo toy ny zava-maitso izy rehetra.

³Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole;

⁴Kanefa ny nofo izay mbola misy aina dia ny ràny no aza haninareo.

⁴only flesh in its life — its blood — ye do not eat.

⁵Fa ny ranareo kosa dia hadiniko, satria ainareo izany; eo amin'ny tanan'ny manan'aina rehetra no hanadinako azy; ary eo amin'ny tanan'ny olona, dia eo amin'ny tanan'ny olona avy, no hanadinako ny ain'ny olona.

⁵`And only your blood for your lives do I require; from the hand of every living thing I require it, and from the hand of man, from the hand of every man`s brother I require the life of man;

⁶Izay mandatsaka ny ran'olona, dia mba halatsak'olona kosa ny ràny, satria tahaka ny endrik'Andriamanitra no nanaovany ny olona.

⁶whoso sheddeth man`s blood, by man is his blood shed: for in the image of God hath He made man.

⁷Koa ny aminareo, dia maroa fara sy mihabetsaha; miteraha be eny ambonin'ny tany sy mihabetsaha eny.

⁷And ye, be fruitful and multiply, teem in the earth, and multiply in it.`

⁸Ary Andriamanitra niteny tamin'i Noa sy tamin'ny zanany, izay niaraka taminy, ka nanao hoe:

⁸And God speaketh unto Noah, and unto his sons with him, saying,

⁹Indro, Izaho efa manorina ny fanekeko aminareo sy amin'ny taranakareo mandimby anareo

⁹`And I, lo, I am establishing My covenant with you, and with your seed after you,

¹⁰sy amin'ny zava-manan'aina rehetra eo aminareo, na ny vorona, na ny biby fiompy, na ny bibi-dia rehetra eo aminareo: izay rehetra nivoaka avy tao anatin'ny sambo-fiara, dia ny biby samy hafa rehetra.

¹⁰and with every living creature which [is] with you, among fowl, among cattle, and among every beast of the earth with you, from all who are going out of the ark — to every beast of the earth.

¹¹Dia aoriko ny fanekeko aminareo, ka tsy haringako amin'ny safo-drano intsony ny nofo rehetra, ary tsy hisy safo-drano hanimba ny tany intsony.

¹¹And I have established My covenant with you, and all flesh is not any more cut off by waters of a deluge, and there is not any more a deluge to destroy the earth.`

¹²Ary hoy Andriamanitra: Izao no famantarana ny fanekena izay ataoko ho amiko sy ho aminareo mbamin'ny zava-manan'aina rehetra eo aminareo hatramin'ny taranaka fara mandimby:

¹²And God saith, `This is a token of the covenant which I am giving between Me and you, and every living creature that [is] with you, to generations age-during;

¹³Ny avako efa napetrako eo amin'ny rahona ho famantarana ny fanekena ho amiko sy ho amin'ny tany.

¹³My bow I have given in the cloud, and it hath been for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth;

¹⁴Ary raha mampiangona rahona eo ambonin'ny tany Aho, ka hita eo amin'ny rahona ny avana,

¹⁴and it hath come to pass (in My sending a cloud over the earth) that the bow hath been seen in the cloud,

¹⁵dia hotsarovako ny fanekeko izay ho amiko sy ho aminareo mbamin'ny zava-manan'aina, dia ny nofo rehetra; ary tsy hisy safo-drano, handringana ny nofo rehetra intsony.

¹⁵and I have remembered My covenant which is between Me and you, and every living creature among all flesh, and the waters become no more a deluge to destroy all flesh;

¹⁶Ary ho eo amin'ny rahona ny avana; ary hitsinjo azy Aho hahatsiarovako ny fanekena mandrakizay izay ho amin'Andriamanitra sy ho amin'ny zava-manan'aina rehetra, dia ny nofo rehetra ambonin'ny tany.

¹⁶and the bow hath been in the cloud, and I have seen it — to remember the covenant age-during between God and every living creature among all flesh which [is] on the earth.`

¹⁷Ary hoy Andriamanitra tamin'i Noa: Izany no famantarana ny fanekena izay naoriko ho amiko sy ho amin'ny nofo rehetra ambonin'ny tany.

¹⁷And God saith unto Noah, `This [is] a token of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.`

¹⁸Ary ny zanakalahin'i Noa izay izay nivoaka avy tamin'ny sambo-fiara dia Sema sy Hama ary Jafeta; ary i Hama no rain'i Kanana.

¹⁸And the sons of Noah who are going out of the ark are Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is father of Canaan.

¹⁹Ireo telo lahy ireo no zanak'i Noa; ary avy tamin'ireo no nielezan'ny olona tambonin'ny tany rehetra.

¹⁹These three [are] sons of Noah, and from these hath all the earth been overspread.

²⁰Ary vao tonga mpiasa tany Noa ka nanao tanim-boaloboka.

²⁰And Noah remaineth a man of the ground, and planteth a vineyard,

²¹Ary nisotro tamin'ny divay izy ka mamo; dia nanary lamba izy ka nitanjaka tao anatin'ny lainy.

²¹and drinketh of the wine, and is drunken, and uncovereth himself in the midst of the tent.

²²Ary hitan'i Hama, rain'i Kanana ny fitanjahan'ny rainy, dia nambarany tamin'ny rahalahiny roa lahy teo ivelany.

²²And Ham, father of Canaan, seeth the nakedness of his father, and declareth to his two brethren without.

²³Ary nalain'i Sema sy Jafeta ny lamba ka nentin'izy mirahalahy teo an-tsorony, dia nanao dia mianotra izy ka nandrakotra ny fitanjahan'ny rainy; ary ny tavany tsy nanatrika, ka dia tsy hitany ny fitanjahan'ny rainy.

²³And Shem taketh — Japheth also — the garment, and they place on the shoulder of them both, and go backward, and cover the nakedness of their father; and their faces [are] backward, and their father`s nakedness they have not seen.

²⁴Dia nahatsiaro Noa, rehefa afaka ny hamamoany, ka nahafantatra izay efa nataon'ny zanany faralahy taminy.

²⁴And Noah awaketh from his wine, and knoweth that which his young son hath done to him,

²⁵Dia hoy izy: Ho voaozona anie Kanana; Ho tena andevon'ny rahalahiny izy.

²⁵and saith: `Cursed [is] Canaan, Servant of servants he is to his brethren.`

²⁶Ary hoy koa izy: Isaorana anie Jehovah, Andriamanitr'i Sema; Ary aoka Kanana ho andevony.

²⁶And he saith: `Blessed of Jehovah my God [is] Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.

²⁷Hataon'Andriamanitra malalaka anie Jafeta; Ary aoka honina ao an-dain'i Sema izy; Ary aoka Kanana ho andevony.

²⁷God doth give beauty to Japheth, And he dwelleth in tents of Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.`

²⁸Ary ny andro niainan'i Noa taorian'ny safo-drano dia dimam-polo amby telon-jato taona.Ary ny andro rehetra niainan'i Noa dia dimam-polo amby sivin-jato taona; dia maty izy.

²⁸And Noah liveth after the deluge three hundred and fifty years;

²⁹Ary ny andro rehetra niainan'i Noa dia dimam-polo amby sivin-jato taona; dia maty izy.

²⁹and all the days of Noah are nine hundred and fifty years, and he dieth.
