1Hast thou known the time of The bearing of the wild goats of the rock? The bringing forth of hinds thou dost mark!
2Mahisa ny andro ahatanterahany va ianao? Ary fantatrao va ny fotoana fiterahany? [Heb. ny volana taperiny]
2Thou dost number the months they fulfil? And thou hast known the time of their bringing forth!
3Miondrika izy ka teraka, sady alefany ny faharariany.
3They bow down, Their young ones they bring forth safely, Their pangs they cast forth.
4Donga ny zanany, mihalehibe any an-efitra ireny; Mivoaka izy ka tsy mety miverina intsony.
4Safe are their young ones, They grow up in the field, they have gone out, And have not returned to them.
5Iza moa no nandefa ny boriki-dia ho karenjy? Ary iza no namaha ny fatoran'ny boriki-dia,
5Who hath sent forth the wild ass free? Yea, the bands of the wild ass who opened?
6Izay nomeko ny tani'hay ho fitoerany ary ny tanin-tsira ho fonenany?
6Whose house I have made the wilderness, And his dwellings the barren land,
7Ihomehezany ny fitabatabana ao an-tanàna; Tsy ahoany akory ny fiantsoantson'ny mpampandeha;
7He doth laugh at the multitude of a city, The cries of an exactor he heareth not.
8Any an-tendrombohitra rehetra any no fihinanany, ary mitady ny zava-maitso rehetra izy.
8The range of mountains [is] his pasture, And after every green thing he seeketh.
9Mba mety manompo anao va ny ombimanga na handry ao am-pahitrao amin'ny alina?
9Is a Reem willing to serve thee? Doth he lodge by thy crib?
10Mahafatotra ny ombimanga amin'ny mahazaka ho ao am-bavasanao va ianao? Na mety manaraka anao handravona bainga any an-dohasaha va izy?
10Dost thou bind a Reem in a furrow [with] his thick band? Doth he harrow valleys after thee?
11Azonao itokiana va izy satria lehibe ny heriny? Ary havelanao hataony va ny asanao?
11Dost thou trust in him because great [is] his power? And dost thou leave unto him thy labour?
12Azonao itokiana hitondra ny varinao mody va izy sy hanangona izany ho eo am-pamoloanao?
12Dost thou trust in him That he doth bring back thy seed? And [to] thy threshing-floor doth gather [it]?
13Mikopakopaka noho ny fifaliana ny elatry ny ostritsa; Nefa mahalemy fanahy azy va ny elany sy ny volony?
13The wing of the rattling ones exulteth, Whether the pinion of the ostrich or hawk.
14Tsia, fa mandao ny atodiny ao amin'ny tany izy ka mamela azy ho afanain'ny vovoka,
14For she leaveth on the earth her eggs, And on the dust she doth warm them,
15Ary tsy ahiny izay ho voaporitry ny tongotra ireo. Na ho voahitsaky ny bibi-dia.
15And she forgetteth that a foot may press it, And a beast of the field tread it down.
16Tsy tia ny zanany izy fa ataony hoatra ny tsy azy ireny; Efa very foana izay nisasarany, nefa tsy ahoany akory izany;
16Her young ones it hath hardened without her, In vain [is] her labour without fear.
17Fa efa nampanadinoin'Andriamanitra ny fahendrena izy, ary Tsy nomeny anjara fahalalana.
17For God hath caused her to forget wisdom, And He hath not given a portion To her in understanding:
18Raha mikopakopak'elatra toa hanidina izy, dia ihomehezany ny soavaly sy ny mpitaingina azy.
18At the time on high she lifteth herself up, She laugheth at the horse and at his rider.
19Moa manome hery ny soavaly va ianao, na manarona vombo mihofahofa ny vozony?
19Dost thou give to the horse might? Dost thou clothe his neck [with] a mane?
20Mahay mampitsipika azy tahaka ny valala va ianao? Mahatsiravina ny hamafin'ny fiefonefony!
20Dost thou cause him to rush as a locust? The majesty of his snorting [is] terrible.
21Mihehy ao amin'ny lohasaha izy ka mifalifaly noho ny heriny; Mandroso hanetra ny ady izy.[Heb. fiadiana]
21They dig in a valley, and he rejoiceth in power, He goeth forth to meet the armour.
22Mihomehy ny tahotra izy, fa tsy mety mivadi-po. Ary tsy mianotra amin'ny sabatra.
22He laugheth at fear, and is not affrighted, And he turneth not back from the face of the sword.
23Mifioka eny amboniny ny zana-tsipìka sy ny lefona manelatselatra ary ny lefom-pohy.[Heb. tranon-jana-tsipìka]
23Against him rattle doth quiver, The flame of a spear, and a halbert.
24Miriotra mafy amin'ny fahavinirana sy ny fahatezerana izy ka tsy mety mijanona intsony, rehefa maneno ny anjomara. [Heb. Mitelina ny tany][Na: Tsy mino izy fa feon'ny anjomara izany]
24With trembling and rage he swalloweth the ground, And remaineth not stedfast Because of the sound of a trumpet.
25Na oviana na oviana no anenoan'ny anjomara dia mihiaka izy. Ary manimbolo ny ady izy, raha mbola lavitra, dia ny akoralava sy ny fitabataban'ny manamboninahitra.
25Among the trumpets he saith, Aha, And from afar he doth smell battle, Roaring of princes and shouting.
26Ny fahendrenao va no mampanidina ny hitsikitsika sy mampamelatra ny elany hianatsimo?
26By thine understanding flieth a hawk? Spreadeth he his wings to the south?
27Noho ny didinao va no iakaran'ny voromahery sy anaovany ny akaniny eny an-dringiringy?
27At thy command goeth an eagle up high? Or lifteth he up his nest?
28Eny amin'ny harambato no itoerany sy anaovany ny akaniny, dia eo an-tampon'ny harambato sy ao amin'ny fiarovana.
28A rock he doth inhabit, Yea, he lodgeth on the tooth of a rock, and fortress.
29Any no itazanany remby; Mahatsinjo lavitra ny masony.Mitsentsitra rà ny zanany, ary izay itoeran'ny faty dia any izy.
29From thence he hath sought food, To a far off place his eyes look attentively,
30Mitsentsitra rà ny zanany, ary izay itoeran'ny faty dia any izy.
30And his brood gulph up blood, And where the pierced [are] — there [is] he!
