1[Ny naneken'i Joba ny fahadisoan-keviny, sy ny navalin'i Jehovah azy] Ary Jehovah mbola namaly an'i Joba nanao hoe:
1And Jehovah doth answer Job, and saith: —
2Hiady amin'ny Tsitoha va io mpanadidy Azy io? Aoka ny mananatra an'Andriamanitra no hamaly!
2Is the striver with the Mighty instructed? The reprover of God, let him answer it.
3Ary Joba dia namaly an'i Jehovah ka nanao hoe:
3And Job answereth Jehovah, and saith: —
4Indro, tsinontsinona, aho ka inona no azoko avaly Anao? Hitampim-bava aho izao.
4Lo, I have been vile, What do I return to Thee? My hand I have placed on my mouth.
5Efa niteny indray mandeha aho, ka tsy hamaly intsony; Eny, indroa aza, fa tsy hanampy teny intsony aho.
5Once I have spoken, and I answer not, And twice, and I add not.
6Dia namaly an'i Joba teo amin'ny tafio-drivotra Jehovah ka nanao hoe:
6And Jehovah answereth Job out of the whirlwind, and saith: —
7Misikina tahaka ny lehilahy; Fa hanadina anao Aho, ka ampahafantaro Aho:
7Gird, I pray thee, as a man, thy loins, I ask thee, and cause thou Me to know.
8Hanaisotra ny rariny amiko va ianao? Hanameloka Ahy va ianao, mba hanamarina ny tenanao kosa?
8Dost thou also make void My judgment? Dost thou condemn Me, That thou mayest be righteous?
9Manan-tsandry tahaka ny an'Andriamanitra va ianao? Ary mahay mampikotrokotro-peo tahaka ny Azy va ianao?
9And an arm like God hast thou? And with a voice like Him dost thou thunder?
10Miravaha fahalehibiazana sy tabiha ianao, ary mitafia famirapiratana sy voninahitra;
10Put on, I pray thee, excellency and loftiness, Yea, honour and beauty put on.
11Alefaso ny fahatezeranao mirehitra; Ary jereo ny avonavona rehetra, ka ampietreo.
11Scatter abroad the wrath of thine anger, And see every proud one, and make him low.
12Eny, jereo ny avonavona rehetra, ka aongàny; Ary apotrahy eo amin'ny fitoerany ihany ny ratsy fanahy.
12See every proud one — humble him, And tread down the wicked in their place.
13Asitriho ao amin'ny vovoka avokoa izy rehetra; Sarony ao amin'ny fiafenana ny tavany.
13Hide them in the dust together, Their faces bind in secret.
14Fa Izaho kosa dia hidera anao, Satria mahavonjy anao ny tananao ankavanana.
14And even I — I do praise thee, For thy right hand giveth salvation to thee.
15He! jereo ange ny behemota, izay nataoko tahaka ny nanaovako anao ihany: Mihinana ahitra tahaka ny omby izy.[hipopotamosy][Na: ho eo aminao]
15Lo, I pray thee, Behemoth, that I made with thee: Grass as an ox he eateth.
16Indro, eo amin'ny valahany ny heriny, ary eo amin'ny ozatra amin'ny kibony ny tanjany.
16Lo, I pray thee, his power [is] in his loins, And his strength in the muscles of his belly.
17Henjaniny ny rambony ho tahaka ny hazo sedera; Mifaniditriditra ny ozatra amin'ny feny
17He doth bend his tail as a cedar, The sinews of his thighs are wrapped together,
18Ny taolany dia tahaka ny fantsom-barahina, eny, tahaka ny anja-by ny taolany.
18His bones [are] tubes of brass, His bones [are] as a bar of iron.
19Voalohany amin'ny asan'Andriamanitra izy; Ny Mpanao azy no nanome sabatra azy.[Heb. lalan']
19He [is] a beginning of the ways of God, His Maker bringeth nigh his sword;
20Mamoaka hanina ho azy ny tendrombohitra, izay ilalaovan'ny bibi-dia rehetra;
20For food do mountains bear for him, And all the beasts of the field play there.
21Eo ambanin'ny hazo lota no andriany, any am-pierena anaty zozoro sy fotaka.
21Under shades he lieth down, In a secret place of reed and mire.
22Manalokaloka azy ny hazo lota; Ary ny hazomalahelo eny amoron'ny ony no manodidina azy
22Cover him do shades, [with] their shadow, Cover him do willows of the brook.
23Indro, na dia maria aza ny ony, tsy manahy izy; Matoky izy, na dia misy Jordana migorodana amin'ny vavany aza.
23Lo, a flood oppresseth — he doth not haste, He is confident though Jordan Doth come forth unto his mouth.
24Moa misy mahasambotra azy va, raha mihiratra ny masony? Raha azon'ny fandrika izy, misy mahatsindrona ny orony va?
24Before his eyes doth [one] take him, With snares doth [one] pierce the nose?
25Mahasarika ny mamba amin'ny farango va ianao, na mahafatotra ny lelany amin'ny mahazaka?[Heb. leviatana]
26Mahisy tady zozoro amin'ny orony va ianao, na mahaboroaka ny valanoranony amin'ny fintana?
27Hifon-jato amin'arivo aminao va izy, na hanao teny malefaka aminao?
28Hanao fanekena aminao va izy? Azonao alaina ho andevonao mandrakizay va izy?
29Hilalao azy tahaka ny filalao voron-kely va ianao? Ary hamatotra azy ho an'ny zazavavy ao aminao va ianao?
30Hataon'ny mpaka hazandrano varotra va izy, ka hotsinjarainy amin'ny mpandranto?
31Mahafeno lefom-pohy ny hodiny va ianao, na firombaka amin'ny lohany?Atehefo aminy ange ny tananao; Raha tsaroanao ny ady, dia tsy hanindroa intsony ianao.
