¹Ny fikasan'ny fo no amin'ny olona; Fa ny famalian'ny lela dia avy amin'i Jehovah.

¹Of man [are] arrangements of the heart, And from Jehovah an answer of the tongue.

²Ataon'ny olona ho madio avokoa ny lalana rehetra alehany; Fa Jehovah ihany no mpandanja ny fanahy.

²All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering the spirits.

³Ankino amin'i Jehovah ny asanao, Dia ho lavorary izay kasainao.

³Roll unto Jehovah thy works, And established are thy purposes,

⁴Ny zavatra rehetra nataon'i Jehovah dia samy misy antony avokoa; Eny, ny ratsy fanahy koa aza dia nataony ho amin'ny andro hahitan-doza.

⁴All things hath Jehovah wrought for Himself, And also the wicked [worketh] for a day of evil.

⁵Fahavetavetana eo imason'i Jehovah izay rehetra miavonavona am-po, Azo itompoana tokoa fa tsy maintsy hampijalina izy.[Heb. Azo ifandraisan-tanana; na: Hatramin'ny taranaka fara mandimby dia]

⁵An abomination to Jehovah [is] every proud one of heart, Hand to hand he is not acquitted.

⁶Ny famindram-po sy ny fahamarinana no avotra amin'ny heloka; Ary ny fahatahorana an'i Jehovah no analavirana ny ratsy.

⁶In kindness and truth pardoned is iniquity, And in the fear of Jehovah Turn thou aside from evil.

⁷Raha sitrak'i Jehovah ny alehan'ny olona, Na dia ny fahavalony aza dia hampihavaniny aminy.

⁷When a man`s ways please Jehovah, even his enemies, He causeth to be at peace with him.

⁸Aleo ny kely omban'ny fahamarinana Toy izay ny harem-bevava azo amin'ny tsy rariny.

⁸Better [is] a little with righteousness, Than abundance of increase without justice.

⁹Ny fon'ny olona mihevitra tsara ny halehany; Fa Jehovah ihany no mahalavorary ny diany.

⁹The heart of man deviseth his way, And Jehovah establisheth his step.

¹⁰Ny teny marina dia eo amin'ny molotry ny mpanjaka, Ary tsy diso teny izy, raha mitsara.

¹⁰An oath [is] on the lips of a king, In judgment his mouth trespasseth not.

¹¹A just beam and balances [are] Jehovah`s, His work [are] all the stones of the bag.

¹²Fahavetavetana eo imason'ny mpanjaka ny fanaovan-dratsy; Fa fahamarinana no iorenan'ny seza fiandrianana.

¹²An abomination to kings [is] doing wickedness, For by righteousness is a throne established.

¹³Sitraky ny mpanjaka ny molotra marina, Ary izay miteny mahitsy no tiany.

¹³The delight of kings [are] righteous lips, And whoso is speaking uprightly he loveth,

¹⁴Ny fahatezeran'ny mpanjaka dia iraky ny fahafatesana. Fa ny olon-kendry mampionona izany.

¹⁴The fury of a king [is] messengers of death, And a wise man pacifieth it.

¹⁵Amin'ny fahamiramiranan'ny tarehin'ny mpanjaka dia misy fiainana, Ary ny fankasitrahany dia toy ny rahona amin'ny fararano.

¹⁵In the light of a king`s face [is] life, And his good-will [is] as a cloud of the latter rain.

¹⁶Tsara ny mahazo fahendrena noho ny volamena, Ary tsara ny mahazo fahalalana noho ny volafotsy.

¹⁶To get wisdom — how much better than gold, And to get understanding to be chosen than silver!

¹⁷Ny manalavitra ny ratsy no lalamben'ny marina, Ary izay mitandrina ny alehany no miaro ny ainy.[Na: fanahiny]

¹⁷A highway of the upright [is], `Turn from evil,` Whoso is preserving his soul is watching his way.

¹⁸Ny fiavonavonana mialoha ny fahasimbana, Ary ny fanahy mirehareha mialoha ny fahalavoana.

¹⁸Before destruction [is] pride, And before stumbling — a haughty spirit.`

¹⁹Tsara ny malemy fanahy ao amin'izay manetry tena Noho ny mizara babo amin'izay miavonavona.

¹⁹Better is humility of spirit with the poor, Than to apportion spoil with the proud.

²⁰Izay mandinika ny teny no hahita soa; Ary izay matoky an'i Jehovah no ho sambatra.

²⁰The wise in any matter findeth good, And whoso is trusting in Jehovah, O his happiness.

²¹Izay hendry am-po dia lazaina hoe manan-tsaina, Ary ny hamamian'ny molotra mampandroso fahendrena.

²¹To the wise in heart is called, `Intelligent,` And sweetness of lips increaseth learning.

²²Loharanon'aina ny fahazavan-tsaina amin'izay manana izany; Fa ny famaizana ataon'ny adala dia fahadalana ihany.

²²A fountain of life [is] understanding to its possessors, The instruction of fools is folly.

²³Ny fon'ny hendry mahahendry ny vavany Sady manampy fahendrena eo amin'ny molony.

²³The heart of the wise causeth his mouth to act wisely, And by his lips he increaseth learning,

²⁴Toho-tantely ny teny mahafinaritra, Ka sady mamin'ny fanahy no mahatsara ny taolana.

²⁴Sayings of pleasantness [are] a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and healing to the bone.

²⁵Misy lalana ataon'ny olona ho mahitsy, Kanjo lalana mivarina any amin'ny fahafatesana no iafarany.

²⁵There is a way right before a man, And its latter end — ways of death.

²⁶Ny fahanoanan'ny mpiasa dia mampiasa azy, Fa ny tendany no manesika azy.[Heb. miasa ho azy][Heb. vavany]

²⁶A labouring man hath laboured for himself, For his mouth hath caused [him] to bend over it.

²⁷Ny ratsy fanahy mihady lavaka fanimbana, Sady misy toy ny afo mahamay eo amin'ny molony.

²⁷A worthless man is preparing evil, And on his lips — as a burning fire.

²⁸Ny mpivadibadika mamafy ady; Ary ny mpibitsibitsika mampisaraka ny tena mpisakaiza.

²⁸A froward man sendeth forth contention, A tale-bearer is separating a familiar friend.

²⁹Ny lozabe mitaona ny namany Ka mitarika azy amin'ny lalana tsy tsara.

²⁹A violent man enticeth his neighbour, And hath causeth him to go in a way not good.

³⁰Izay manakimpy ny masony hieritreritra ny ratsy Sady manaikitraiki-molotra dia efa mikasa hanao ratsy.

³⁰Consulting his eyes to devise froward things, Moving his lips he hath accomplished evil.

³¹Satroboninahitra tsara tarehy ny volofotsy, Ao amin'ny lalan'ny fahamarinana no ahazoana azy.

³¹A crown of beauty [are] grey hairs, In the way of righteousness it is found.

³²Tsara ny mahatsindry fo noho ny mahery, Ary izay mahazaka ny fanahiny noho izay mahafa-bohitra.Ny filokana dia atsipy ao am-pofoany; Fa avy amin'i Jehovah ihany no isehoan'ny fitsarany.

³²Better [is] the slow to anger than the mighty, And the ruler over his spirit than he who is taking a city.

³³Into the centre is the lot cast, And from Jehovah [is] all its judgment!
