21

1Rano velona eo an-tànan'i Jehovah ny fon'ny mpanjaka, Ka tarihiny amin'izay tiany.
1Rivulets of waters [is] the heart of a king in the hand of Jehovah, Wherever He pleaseth He inclineth it.
2Ataon'ny olona ho marina avokoa ny lalana rehetra alehany; Fa Jehovah ihany no Mpandanja ny fo.
2Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering hearts.
3Ny hanao izay marina sy mahitsy No sitrak'i Jehovah mihoatra noho ny fanatitra alatsa-drà.
3To do righteousness and judgment, Is chosen of Jehovah rather than sacrifice.
4Ny fiandranandran'ny maso sy ny fiavonavon'ny fo Izay jiron'ny ratsy fanahy dia ota.[Na: asan']
4Loftiness of eyes, and breadth of heart, Tillage of the wicked [is] sin.
5Ny hevitry ny mazoto dia mampanan-karena; Fa ny maimaika rehetra dia halahelo ihany.
5The purposes of the diligent [are] only to advantage, And of every hasty one, only to want.
6Ny fahazoan-karena amin'ny lela mandainga Dia fofonaina mihelina ho an'izay mitady fahafatesana.
6The making of treasures by a lying tongue, [Is] a vanity driven away of those seeking death.
7Ny fitohatohan'ny ratsy fanahy hamongotra azy, Satria mandà tsy hanao izay marina izy.
7The spoil of the wicked catcheth them, Because they have refused to do judgment.
8Miolikolika ny lalan'ny mavesa-keloka; Fa mahitsy ny ataon'ny madio.
8Froward [is] the way of a man who is vile, And the pure — upright [is] his work.
9Aleo mitoetra eo an-joron'ny tampon-trano Toy izay hiray trano amin'ny vehivavy tia ady.
9Better to sit on a corner of the roof, Than [with] a woman of contentions and a house of company.
10Ny fanahin'ny ratsy fanahy maniry ny ratsy, Ka na dia ny havany aza tsy mahita fitia eo imasony.
10The soul of the wicked hath desired evil, Not gracious in his eyes is his neighbour.
11Raha ampijalina ny mpaniratsira, dia ho hendry ny kely saina; Ary raha toroan-kevitra ny hendry, dia hahazo fahalalana izy.
11When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise, And in giving understanding to the wise He receiveth knowledge.
12Ny Iray Marina no mandinika ny tranon'ny ratsy fanahy Ka mamarina azy ho amin'ny loza.
12The Righteous One is acting wisely Towards the house of the wicked, He is overthrowing the wicked for wickedness.
13Izay manentsin-tadiny amin'ny fitarainan'ny malahelo, Dia mba hitaraina kosa izy, fa tsy hohenoina.
13Whoso is shutting his ear from the cry of the poor, He also doth cry, and is not answered.
14Ny fanomezana mangingina mampionona ny fahatezerana, Ary ny kolikoly amin'ny takona mampitsahatra ny fahavinirana mafy.
14A gift in secret pacifieth anger, And a bribe in the bosom strong fury.
15Fifalian'ny marina ny hanao araka ny rariny; Fa zava-mahatahotra ny mpanao ratsy kosa izany.
15To do justice [is] joy to the righteous, But ruin to workers of iniquity.
16Ny olona izay mivily miala amin'ny lalan'ny fahendrena Dia hitoetra ao amin'ny fivorian'ny fanahin'ny maty.
16A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.
17Izay tia fanaranam-po dia olona halahelo, Eny, izay tia divay sy diloilo tsy mba hanan-karena.
17Whoso [is] loving mirth [is] a poor man, Whoso is loving wine and oil maketh no wealth.
18Ny ratsy fanahy dia ho avotry ny marina, Ary ny mpivadika ho solon'ny mahitsy.
18The wicked [is] an atonement for the righteous, And for the upright the treacherous dealer.
19Aleo mitoetra any an-efitra Toy izay amin'ny vehivavy tia ady sady foizina.
19Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than [with] a woman of contentions and anger.
20Harena mahafinaritra sy diloilo no ao amin'ny tranon'ny hendry; Fa ny adala mandany azy.
20A treasure to be desired, and oil, [Is] in the habitation of the wise, And a foolish man swalloweth it up.
21Izay fatra-panaraka fahamarinana sy famindram-po Dia hahazo fiainana sy fahamarinana ary voninahitra.
21Whoso is pursuing righteousness and kindness, Findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
22Ny hendry mananika ny vohitry ny mahery Ka mandrodana ny fiarovana mafy izay itokiany.
22A city of the mighty hath the wise gone up, And bringeth down the strength of its confidence.
23Izay miambina ny vavany sy ny lelany Dia miaro ny fanahiny tsy ho azom-pahoriana.
23Whoso is keeping his mouth and his tongue, Is keeping from adversities his soul.
24Izay mirehareha sy miavonavona no atao hoe mpaniratsira, Dia izay olona fatra-piavonavona.
24Proud, haughty, scorner [is] his name, Who is working in the wrath of pride.
25Ny fanirian'ny malaina hahafaty azy, Satria ny tànany tsy mety miasa tsinona;
25The desire of the slothful slayeth him, For his hands have refused to work.
26Maniry fatratra mandritra ny andro izy; Fa ny marina kosa manome ka tsy mba mahihitra.
26All the day desiring he hath desired, And the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.
27Ny fanatitry ny ratsy fanahy dia fahavetavetana, Ka indrindra raha amin'ny sain-dratsy no itondrany azy.
27The sacrifice of the wicked [is] abomination, Much more when in wickedness he bringeth it.
28Ho faty ny vavolombelona mandainga; Fa izay mihaino dia hiteny mandrakariva.
28A false witness doth perish, And an attentive man for ever speaketh.
29Ny ratsy fanahy mampiseho ny fahasahisahiany amin'ny tarehiny; Fa ny marina kosa dia mihevitra izay halehany.
29A wicked man hath hardened by his face, And the upright — he prepareth his way.
30Tsy misy fahendrena, na fahalalana, Na fisainana mahaleo an'i Jehovah.Voaomana ny soavaly ho amin'ny andro iadiana; Fa an'i Jehovah ihany ny fandresena.
30There is no wisdom, nor understanding, Nor counsel, over-against Jehovah.
31Voaomana ny soavaly ho amin'ny andro iadiana; Fa an'i Jehovah ihany ny fandresena.
31A horse is prepared for a day of battle, And the deliverance [is] of Jehovah!
