1To the Overseer. — By a servant of Jehovah, by David, who hath spoken to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul, and he saith: — I love Thee, O Jehovah, my strength.
2Jehovah no harambatoko sy batery fiarovana ho ahy ary Mpamonjy ahy; Andriamanitro, vatolampy ialofako, sy ampingako ary tandroka famonjena ahy sy fiarovana avo ho ahy.
2Jehovah [is] my rock, and my bulwark, And my deliverer, My God [is] my rock, I trust in Him: My shield, and a horn of my salvation, My high tower.
3Miantso an'i Jehovah izay mendrika hoderaina aho, ka dia vonjena ho afaka amin'ny fahavaloko.
3The `Praised One` I call Jehovah, And from my enemies I am saved.
4Nihodidina tamiko ny famatoram-pahafatesana, ary ny riaky ny faharatsiana nampahatahotra ahy.
4Compassed me have cords of death, And streams of the worthless make me afraid.
5Ny famatoran'ny fiainan-tsi-hita nihodidina tamiko; nisakana ahy ny fandriky ny fahafatesana.[Heb: Sheola]
5Cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Before me have been snares of death.
6Fony azom-pahoriana aho, dia niantso an'i Jehovah, eny, Andriamanitro no nitarainako; nihaino ny feoko tao an-tempoliny Izy, ary ny fitarainako teo anatrehany dia efa tonga teo an-tsofiny.
6In mine adversity I call Jehovah, And unto my God I cry. He heareth from His temple my voice, And My cry before Him cometh into His ears.

7And shake and tremble doth the earth, And foundations of hills are troubled, And they shake — because He hath wrath.

8Gone up hath smoke by His nostrils, And fire from His mouth consumeth, Coals have been kindled by it.
9Dia naondriny ny lanitra, ka nidina Izy; ary aizim-pito no teo ambanin'ny tongony.
9And He inclineth the heavens, and cometh down, And thick darkness [is] under His feet.
10Dia nitaingina kerobima Izy ka nanidina; eny, nanidina faingana tamin'ny ela-drivotra Izy.
10And He rideth on a cherub, and doth fly, And He flieth on wings of wind.
11Efa nanao ny maizina ho fiereny sy tranony manodidina Azy Izy, dia rahona ngalingaly rahona matevina.[Heb: aizin-drano]
11He maketh darkness His secret place, Round about Him His tabernacle, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

12From the brightness over-against Him His thick clouds have passed on, Hail and coals of fire.
13Dia nampikotroka tany an-danitra Jehovah, ny Avo Indrindra niloa-peo. Havandra sy vainafo.
13And thunder in the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice, Hail and coals of fire.
14Dia nandefa ny zana-tsipìkany Izy ka nampiely ny fahavaloko. Ary nampandeha helatra be ka nampifanaritaka azy.
14And He sendeth His arrows and scattereth them, And much lightning, and crusheth them.
15Dia hita ny mason-drano, ary niseho ny fanambanin'ny tany noho ny teny mafy nataonao, Jehovah ô, noho ny fifofofofon'ny fofonain'ny vavoronao.
15And seen are the streams of waters, And revealed are foundations of the earth. From Thy rebuke, O Jehovah, From the breath of the spirit of Thine anger.
16Naninjitra ny tanany avy tany ambony Izy ka nandray ahy; nanintona ahy niala tamin'ny rano be Izy;
16He sendeth from above — He taketh me, He draweth me out of many waters.
17Namonjy ahy tamin'ny fahavaloko mahery Izy sy tamin'izay nankahala ahy, satria tsy leoko ireny
17He delivereth me from my strong enemy, And from those hating me, For they have been stronger than I.
18Nisakana ahy tamin'ny andro nahitako loza ireny, nefa Jehovah no niseho ho Mpanohana ahy.
18They go before me in a day of my calamity And Jehovah is for a support to me.
19Dia nitondra ahy ho any amin'ny malalaka Izy; namonjy ahy Izy, satria tiany aho.
19And He bringeth me forth to a large place, He draweth me out, because He delighted in me.
20Nanisy soa ahy araka ny fahamarinako Jehovah; araka ny fahadiovan'ny tanako no namaliany ahy.
20Jehovah doth recompense me According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.
21Fa nitandrina ny lalan'i Jehovah aho, ka tsy mba nanao ratsy hialana tamin'Andriamanitro;
21For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.
22Ny fitsipiny rehetra dia teo anatrehako, ary ny lalàny tsy mba nampialaiko tamiko;
22For all His judgments [are] before me, And His statutes I turn not from me.
23Tsy nanan-tsiny taminy aho sady niaro tena tsy ho azon'ny fahotako;
23And I am perfect with him, And I keep myself from mine iniquity.
24Koa namaly ahy araka ny fahamarinako Jehovah, dia araka ny fahadiovan'ny tanako teo imasony.
24And Jehovah doth return to me, According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, Over-against his eyes.
25Ny olona tsara no isehoanao fa tsara; ny tena olo-marina no isehoanao fa marina;
25With the kind Thou showest Thyself kind, With a perfect man showest Thyself perfect.
26Ny madio no isehoanao fa madio; ary ny mpiolakolaka kosa no isehoanao fa lalin-tsaina. [Heb: miolakolaka]
26With the pure Thou showest Thyself pure, And with the perverse showest Thyself a wrestler,
27Fa Hianao mamonjy ny olona ory; ary ny maso miandranandrana kosa aetrinao.
27For Thou a poor people savest, And the eyes of the high causest to fall.
28Fa Hianao mampirehitra ny jiroko; Jehovah Andriamanitro no mampahazava ny fahamaizinako.
28For Thou — Thou lightest my lamp, Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.
29Fa Hianao no ahazoako mitsarapaka hamely ny miaramila iray toko; ary Andriamanitro no ahazoako mitsambikina mihoatra ny manda.
29For by Thee I run — a troop! And by my God I leap a wall.
30Raha ny amin'Andriamanitra, dia marina ny lalany; ny tenin'i Jehovah dia voazaha toetra amin'ny memy; Jehovah no ampingan'izay rehetra mialoka aminy.
30God! perfect [is] His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield [is] He to all those trusting in Him.
31Fa iza no Andriamanitra afa-tsy Jehovah? ary iza no vatolampy afa-tsy Andriamanitsika?
31For who [is] God besides Jehovah? And who [is] a rock save our God?
32Izany Andriamanitra izany no mampisikina hery ahy sy manamarina ny alehako.
32God! who is girding me [with] strength, And He maketh perfect my way.
33Manao ny tongotro ho tahaka ny an'ny dieravavy Izy ka mampitoetra ahy eo amin'ny fitoerako avo.
33Making my feet like hinds, And on my high places causeth me to stand.
34Mampianatra ny tanako hiady Izy, ka mahahenjana tsipìka varahina ny sandriko.
34Teaching my hands for battle, And a bow of brass was brought down by my arms.
35Omenao ahy ny ampingan'ny famonjenao; ny tananao ankavanana no manohana ahy, ary ny fahamoram-panahinao no mahalehibe ahy.
35And Thou givest to me the shield of Thy salvation, And Thy right hand doth support me, And Thy lowliness maketh me great.
36Halalahinao ny lalana hodiaviko, ka tsy mangovitra ny hato-tongotro.
36Thou enlargest my step under me, And mine ankles have not slidden.
37Manenjika ny fahavaloko aho ka mahatratra azy; ary tsy mba miverina aho mandra-pahalàny ritrany.
37I pursue mine enemies, and overtake them, And turn back not till they are consumed.
38Mamely mafy azy aho, ka tsy mahaleo izy; lavo eo ambanin'ny tongotro izy.
38I smite them, and they are not able to rise, They fall under my feet,
39Hianao mampisikina ahy hery hiady; aripakao ho ambaniko izay mitsangana hamely ahy.
39And Thou girdest me [with] strength for battle, Causest my withstanders to bow under me.
40Ary ataonao miamboho ahy ny fahavaloko; ka aringako izay mankahala ahy.
40As to mine enemies — Thou hast given to me the neck, As to those hating me — I cut them off.
41Mitaraina izy, fa tsy misy mpamonjy, dia amin'i Jehovah, fa tsy mamaly azy Izy.
41They cry, and there is no saviour, On Jehovah, and He doth not answer them.
42Torotoroiko madinika tahaka ny vovoka entin'ny rivotra izy; Tahaka ny fanary fotaka eny an-dalambe no fanariko azy.
42And I beat them as dust before wind, As mire of the streets I empty them out.
43Mamonjy ahy amin'ny fifanoheran'ny olona Hianao. Sy manandratra ahy ho lohan'ny firenen-tsamy hafa; ny firenena tsy fantatro aza dia manompo ahy.
43Thou dost deliver me From the strivings of the people, Thou placest me for a head of nations, A people I have not known do serve me.
44Raha vao mahare ny lazako fotsiny ihany aza izy, dia manoa ahy; Ny hafa firenena mikoy ahy. [Na: Ny olona re laza ihany aza, dia hafa firenena, mikoy ahy]
44At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me, Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me,
45Ny hafa firenena dia mihaketraka, ka miala amin-kovitra avy ao amin'ny fiarovany mafy.
45Sons of a stranger fade away, And are slain out of their close places.
46Velona Jehovah; isaorana anie ny Vatolampiko; asandratra anie Andriamanitry ny famonjena ahy,
46Jehovah liveth — and blessed [is] my rock, And exalted is the God of my salvation.
47Dia Andriamanitra, Izay manao famaliana ho ahy ka mampanaiky ny firenena ahy.
47God — who is giving vengeance to me, And He subdueth peoples under me,
48Mamonjy ahy amin'ny fahavaloko Izy; eny, manandratra ahy ho ambonin'izay mitsangana hanohitra ahy Hianao, ary mamonjy ahy amin'ny olon-dozabe.
48My deliverer from mine enemies, Above my withstanders Thou raisest me, From a man of violence dost deliver me.
49Koa izany no hiderako Anao eny amin'ny firenen-tsamy hafa, Jehovah ô, sy hankalazako ny anaranao.Manao famonjen-dehibe ho an'ny mpanjaka voatendriny Izy, ary mamindra fo amin'ny voahosony, dia amin'i Davida sy ny taranany mandrakizay.
49Therefore I confess Thee among nations, O Jehovah, And to Thy name I sing praise,
50Manao famonjen-dehibe ho an'ny mpanjaka voatendriny Izy, ary mamindra fo amin'ny voahosony, dia amin'i Davida sy ny taranany mandrakizay.
50Magnifying the salvation of His king, And doing kindness to His anointed, To David, and to his seed — unto the age!
