1[Fiantsoana an'Andriamanitra hanafaka amin'ny fandrika amam-pitaka ataon'ny olona, sy fanambarana ny havaliny ireny] Ho an'ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon'i Davida. Henoy ny feoko, raha mitaraina aho, Andriamanitra ô; arovy ny aiko amin'ny tahotro ny fahavalo.
1To the Overseer. — A Psalm of David. Hear, O God, my voice, in my meditation, From the fear of an enemy Thou keepest my life,
2Afeno aho tsy ho azon'ny firaisan-tetiky ny ratsy fanahy,sy ny fitabataban'ny mpanao ratsy,
2Hidest me from the secret counsel of evil doers, From the tumult of workers of iniquity.
3Izay mandranitra ny lelany ho tahaka ny sabatra, ka mikendry handefa ny zana-tsipìkany, dia teny mangidy.
3Who sharpened as a sword their tongue, They directed their arrow — a bitter word.
4Mba hitifitra mangingina ny mahitsy; mitifitra azy tampoka izy ka tsy matahotra.
4To shoot in secret places the perfect, Suddenly they shoot him, and fear not.
5Hamafiny ny hevi-dratsiny; mifampitaona hanao fandri-totofana izy ka manao hoe: iza no hahita izany?
5They strengthen for themselves an evil thing, They recount of the hiding of snares, They have said, `Who doth look at it?`
6Manao saim-petsy izy; omaniny tsara ny sain-dalina voaheviny; lalina ny ao anatin'ny olombelona, dia ny fony.
6They search out perverse things, `We perfected a searching search,` And the inward part of man, and the heart [are] deep.
7Mitifitra azy Andriamanitra; tampoka toy ny fiantefan'ny zana-tsipìka no fahavoazany.
7And God doth shoot them [with] an arrow, Sudden have been their wounds,
8Apotrany izy ka voasingotra ny lelany ihany; mandositra izay rehetra mahita azy.[Na: Mihifikifi-doha]
8And they cause him to stumble, Against them [is] their own tongue, Every looker on them fleeth away.
9Dia matahotra ny olona rehetra ka manambara ny ataon'Andriamanitra sady mandinika tsara ny asany.Mifaly amin'i Jehovah ny marina ka mialoka aminy; eny, mifaly tena ny mahitsy fo rehetra.
9And all men fear, and declare the work of God, And His deed they have considered wisely.
10Mifaly amin'i Jehovah ny marina ka mialoka aminy; eny, mifaly tena ny mahitsy fo rehetra.
10The righteous doth rejoice in Jehovah, And hath trusted in Him, And boast themselves do all the upright of heart!
