¹Mampahatsiarova azy hanaiky izay manapaka sy manam-pahefana, hanoa tsara, ho vonona ho amin'ny asa tsara rehetra,

¹Remind them to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rule, unto every good work to be ready,

²tsy hiteny ratsy olona, tsy ho mpila ady, fa ho mpandefitra, maneho ny halemem-panahy rehetra amin'ny olona rehetra.

²of no one to speak evil, not to be quarrelsome -- gentle, showing all meekness to all men,

³Fa isika koa dia adala fahiny, tsy nanaiky, voafitaka, dia andevon'ny filàna sy ny fahafinaretana maro, ary velona teo amin'ny lolompo sy ny fialonana, sady hala no nifankahala.

³for we were once -- also we -- thoughtless, disobedient, led astray, serving desires and pleasures manifold, in malice and envy living, odious -- hating one another;

⁴Fa rehefa niseho ny fahamoram-panahin'Andriamanitra, Mpamonjy antsika, sy ny fitiavany ny olona,

⁴and when the kindness and the love to men of God our Saviour did appear

⁵dia tsy avy tamin'ny asa amin'ny fahamarinana izay nataontsika, fa araka ny famindram-po kosa no namonjeny antsika, tamin'ny fanasan'ny fiterahana indray sy ny fanavaozan'ny Fanahy Masina,

⁵(not by works that [are] in righteousness that we did but according to His kindness,) He did save us, through a bathing of regeneration, and a renewing of the Holy Spirit,

⁶Izay naidiny betsaka tamintsika tamin'ny alalan'i Jesosy Kristy, Mpamonjy antsika,

⁶which He poured upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour,

⁷mba hohamarinina amin'ny fahasoavany isika ka ho tonga mpandova araka ny fanantenana ny fiainana mandrakizay.

⁷that having been declared righteous by His grace, heirs we may become according to the hope of life age-during.

⁸Mahatoky izany teny izany, ary izany zavatra izany dia tiako hitompoanao mafy, mba hotandreman'izay efa mino an'Andriamanitra ny hanao asa tsara. Sady tsara no mahasoa ny olona izany zavatra izany.

⁸Stedfast [is] the word; and concerning these things I counsel thee to affirm fully, that they may be thoughtful, to be leading in good works -- who have believed God; these are the good and profitable things to men,

⁹Fa halaviro ny fanontaniana adala sy ny tantaram-pirazanana sy ny fifandirana sy ny ady teny ny amin'ny lalàna; fa tsy mahasoa sady zava-poana izany.

⁹and foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about law, stand away from -- for they are unprofitable and vain.

¹⁰Izay mpanao hevi-diso, rehefa nanarinao indray maka na indroa, dia ialao, [ Na: olona mitokana ho azy]

¹⁰A sectarian man, after a first and second admonition be rejecting,

¹¹satria fantatrao fa voavadika izay manao izany ka sady manota no manamelo-tena koa.

¹¹having known that he hath been subverted who [is] such, and doth sin, being self-condemned.

¹²Rehefa maniraka an'i Artema ny Tykiko ho atỳ aminao aho, dia mazotoa hankany amiko any Nikopolia ianao, fa mikasa handany ny ririnina any aho.

¹²When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis, for there to winter I have determined.

¹³Mazotoa hamoaka an'i Zena mpahay lalàna sy Apolosy, mba tsy hisy zavatra hilainy.

¹³Zenas the lawyer and Apollos bring diligently on their way, that nothing to them may be lacking,

¹⁴Ary aoka ny antsika koa hianatra hanao asa tsara hahazoany izay ilainy, fandrao tsy hisy vokatra izy.Manao veloma anao izay rehetra atỳ amiko. Manaova veloma izay rehetra tia anay amin'ny finoana. Ho aminareo rehetra anie ny fahasoavana.

¹⁴and let them learn -- ours also -- to be leading in good works to the necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.

¹⁵Manao veloma anao izay rehetra atỳ amiko. Manaova veloma izay rehetra tia anay amin'ny finoana. Ho aminareo rehetra anie ny fahasoavana.

¹⁵Salute thee do all those with me; salute those loving us in faith; the grace [is] with you all!
