1 Yna galwodd Isaac ar Jacob, a bendithiodd ef. Gorchmynnodd iddo, "Paid � phriodi gwraig o blith merched Canaan.

4 Rhodded ef fendith Abraham i ti ac i'th hil hefyd, fel y cei etifeddu'r wlad yr wyt yn ymdeithio ynddi, yr un a roddodd Duw i Abraham."

5 Felly, anfonodd Isaac Jacob ymaith; ac aeth yntau i Padan Aram at Laban fab Bethuel yr Aramead, brawd Rebeca mam Jacob ac Esau.

6 Deallodd Esau fod Isaac wedi bendithio Jacob a'i anfon ymaith i Padan Aram i gymryd gwraig oddi yno, ac iddo orchymyn iddo wrth ei fendithio, "Paid � phriodi gwraig o blith merched Canaan",
7A kua rongo a Hakopa ki tona papa raua ko tona whaea, kua riro hoki ki Paranaarama;
7 a bod Jacob wedi gwrando ar ei rieni a mynd i Padan Aram.

8 Pan welodd Esau nad oedd merched Canaan wrth fodd Isaac ei dad,
9Na haere ana a Ehau ki a Ihimaera, a tangohia ana mai e ia ki roto ki ana wahine a Maharata, te tamahine a Ihimaera, tama a Aperahama, te tuahine o Nepaioto, hei wahine mana.

11 A daeth i ryw fan ac aros noson yno, gan fod yr haul wedi machlud. Cymerodd un o gerrig y lle a'i gosod dan ei ben, a gorweddodd i gysgu yn y fan honno.
12Na moe iho ia, ko tetahi arawhata e tu ana i runga i te whenua, ko tona pito i tutuki ki te rangi: na, ko nga anahera a te Atua e piki ana, e heke ana i runga i taua mea.
12 Breuddwydiodd ei fod yn gweld ysgol wedi ei gosod ar y ddaear, a'i phen yn cyrraedd i'r nefoedd, ac angylion Duw yn dringo a disgyn ar hyd-ddi.
13Na, ko Ihowa e tu ana i runga atu i taua mea, e mea ana, Ko Ihowa ahau, ko te Atua o Aperahama, o tou papa, ko te Atua hoki o Ihaka: ko te whenua e takoto na koe ka hoatu e ahau ki a koe, ki ou uri ano hoki;
13 A safodd yr ARGLWYDD gerllaw iddo a dweud, "Myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD, Duw Abraham dy dad, a Duw Isaac; rhoddaf y tir yr wyt yn gorwedd arno i ti ac i'th ddisgynyddion;
14A ka rite ou uri ki te puehu o te oneone, ka tohatoha atu koe ki te hauauru, ki te rawhiti, ki te raki, ki te tonga: a mau, ma tou uri hoki e manaakitia ai nga hapu katoa o te whenua.
14 bydd dy hil fel llwch y ddaear, a byddi'n ymestyn i'r gorllewin a'r dwyrain ac i'r gogledd a'r de; a bendithir holl deuluoedd y ddaear ynot ti ac yn dy ddisgynyddion.
15Na, kei a koe tenei ahau, ka tiaki ahau i a koe i nga wahi katoa e haere ai koe, ka whakahoki mai ano ahau i a koe ki tenei whenua; e kore hoki ahau e whakarere i a koe, kia oti ra ano taku i ki atu ai ki a koe.
15 Wele, yr wyf fi gyda thi, a chadwaf di ple bynnag yr ei, a dof � thi'n �l i'r wlad hon; oherwydd ni'th adawaf nes imi wneud yr hyn a ddywedais."
16¶ Na ka oho ake a Hakopa i tana moe, ka mea, He pono kei tenei wahi a Ihowa; a kihai ahau i mohio.
16 Pan ddeffr�dd Jacob o'i gwsg, dywedodd, "Y mae'n sicr fod yr ARGLWYDD yn y lle hwn, ac ni wyddwn i."
17Na ka wehi ia, kamea, Ano te wehi o tenei wahi! ehara tenei i te mea ke atu i te whare o te Atua, a ko te kuwaha tenei ki te rangi.
17 A daeth arno ofn, ac meddai, "Mor ofnadwy yw'r lle hwn! Nid yw'n ddim amgen na thu375? i Dduw, a dyma borth y nefoedd."
18Na ka ara wawe a Hakopa i te ata, a ka mau ki te kohatu i waiho ra hei urunga mona, whakaturia ana e ia hei pou, ringihia iho e ia he hinu ki runga.
18 Cododd Jacob yn fore, a chymerodd y garreg a fu dan ei ben, a gosododd hi'n golofn, a thywallt olew drosti.
19A huaina iho e ia te ingoa o taua wahi ko Peteere: ko Rutu ia te ingoa o taua pa i mua.
19 Galwodd y lle, Bethel, ond enw'r ddinas ar y dechrau oedd Lus.
20Na ka puaki ta Hakopa kupu taurangi, ka mea ia, Ki te mea ka tata mai ki ahau te Atua, a ka tiakina ahau e ia i tenei ara e haere nei ahau, a ka homai e ia ki ahau he taro hei kai, me tetahi kakahu hei kakahu,
20 Yna gwnaeth Jacob adduned, a dweud, "Os bydd Duw gyda mi, ac yn fy nghadw'n ddiogel ar fy nhaith, a rhoi imi fara i'w fwyta a dillad i'w gwisgo,
21A ka hoki mai ahau i runga i te rangimarie ki te whare o toku papa; na, ko Ihowa hei Atua ki ahau:
21 a minnau'n dychwelyd mewn heddwch i du375? fy nhad, yna bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn Dduw i mi,
22A, ko tenei kohatu i whakaturia nei e ahau hei pou, ka waiho hei whare mo te Atua; a, o nga mea katoa e homai e koe ki ahau, ka hoatu e ahau ki a koe nga whakatekau.
22 a bydd y garreg hon a osodais yn golofn yn du375? i Dduw; ac o bob peth a roi i mi, mi rof ddegwm i ti."
