1¶ Na ka haere atu a Rina, tamahine a Rea, i whanau nei i a raua ko Hakopa, kia kite i nga tamahine o te whenua.
1 Aeth Dina, y ferch yr oedd Lea wedi ei geni i Jacob, allan i ymweld � gwragedd y wlad.
2A ka kite a Hekeme, tama a Hamora Hiwi, rangatira o taua whenua, i a ia; a ka hopukia ia e ia, a ka takoto ki a ia, ka whakaiti hoki i a ia.
2 Pan welwyd hi gan Sichem fab Hamor yr Hefiad, tywysog y wlad, fe'i cymerodd a gorwedd gyda hi a'i threisio.
3Na ka piri tona wairua ki a Rina, tamahine a Hakopa, a ka aroha ia ki te kotiro ra, ka whakamarie hoki i te ngakau o taua kotiro.
3 Rhoddodd ei holl serch ar Dina merch Jacob; hoffodd y ferch, a siaradodd yn gariadus wrthi.
4Na ka korero a Hekeme ki a Hamora, ki tona papa, ka mea, Tikina te kotiro nei hei wahine maku.
4 Yna dywedodd Sichem wrth ei dad Hamor, "Cymer y ferch hon yn wraig i mi."
5Na i rongo a Hakopa kua pokea a Rina, tana tamahine, e ia; a i te parae ana tama, i ana kararehe: na ka whakarongo puku a Hakopa, kia tae mai ra ano ratou.
5 Pan glywodd Jacob iddo halogi ei ferch Dina, yr oedd ei feibion gyda'i anifeiliaid yn y maes; ac felly ni ddywedodd ddim cyn iddynt ddod adref.
6¶ Na ka haere a Hamora papa o Hekeme ki a Hakopa ki te korero ki a ia.
6 Yna daeth Hamor tad Sichem allan i siarad � Jacob.
7Na ka haere mai nga tama a Hakopa i te parae, i to ratou rongonga; a ka matangerengere aua tangata, ka tino riri hoki, mo tana mahi wairangi i roto i a Iharaira, i a ia i takoto ra ki te tamahine a Hakopa; he mahi hoki kihai i tika.
7 Wedi i feibion Jacob gyrraedd o'r maes a chlywed am y peth, cynhyrfodd y gwu375?r a ffromi'n fawr am i Sichem wneud tro ysgeler yn Israel trwy orwedd gyda merch Jacob, gan na ddylid gwneud felly.
8Na ka korero a Hamora ki a ratou, ka mea, Ko Hekeme, ko taku tama, piri tonu tona wairua ki ta koutou tamahine: homai ia ki a ia, ne? hei wahine.
8 Ond erfyniodd Hamor arnynt, a dweud, "Y mae fy mab Sichem wedi rhoi ei fryd ar gael y ferch; rhowch hi'n wraig iddo.
9A kia marenatia tatou ki a tatou; homai a koutou tamahine ki a matou, a me tango hoki a matou tamahine ma koutou.
9 Trefnwch briodasau � ni; rhowch eich merched i ni, a chymerwch chwithau ein merched ninnau.
10A me noho koutou ki a matou: a ka takoto atu te whenua i mua i a koutou: e noho i reira, ka hokohoko i reira, ka whakatupu rawa ma koutou i reira.
10 Dewch i gyd-fyw � ni, a bydd y wlad yn rhydd ichwi; dewch i fyw ynddi, a marchnata a cheisio meddiant ynddi."
11A ka mea a Hekeme ki tona papa ratou ko ona tungane, Kia manakohia mai ahau e koutou, a ko ta koutou e ki mai ai ki ahau ka hoatu e ahau.
11 Dywedodd Sichem hefyd wrth ei thad a'i brodyr, "Os caf ffafr yn eich golwg, yna rhof ichwi beth bynnag a ofynnwch gennyf.
12Ahakoa pehea te nui o te tapakuha me te hakari e meatia mai e koutou ki ahau, ka hoatu e ahau ta koutou e ki mai ai ki ahau: otira homai te kotiro hei wahine maku.
12 Cynyddwch yn sylweddol y gwaddol a'r rhodd, ac fe rof yn �l eich gofyn, dim ond ichwi roi'r ferch yn wraig i mi."
13Na ka whakahoki tinihanga nga tama a Hakopa ki a Hekeme raua ko Hamora, ko tona papa, i mea hoki ratou mo Rina, mo to ratou tuahine, i whakapokea e ia;
13 Am i'w chwaer Dina gael ei halogi, rhoddodd meibion Jacob ateb dichellgar i Sichem a'i dad Hamor.
14Ka mea ratou ki a raua, E kore tenei mea e taea e matou te mea, te hoatu i to matou tuahine ki te tangata kahore i kotia; he tawainga hoki tena mo matou:
14 Dywedasant wrthynt, "Ni allwn wneud y fath beth, a rhoi ein chwaer i u373?r heb ei enwaedu; byddai hynny'n warth i ni.
15Tenei ia te mea e whakaae ai matou ki a koutou: ki te peneitia koutou me matou, ki te kotia o koutou tane katoa;
15 Ar yr amod hwn yn unig y cytunwn � chwi, sef eich bod chwi, fel ni, yn enwaedu pob gwryw.
16Katahi ka hoatu e matou a matou tamahine ki a koutou, ka tangohia mai hoki a koutou tamahine ma matou, a ka noho matou i roto i a koutou, a ka meinga tatou hei iwi kotahi.
16 Yna rhown ein merched i chwi, a chymerwn ninnau eich merched chwithau; a down i fyw gyda chwi a dod yn un bobl.
17Ki te kahore ia koutou e rongo ki ta matou, kia kotia koutou; na ka tango matou i ta matou tamahine, ka haere.
17 Os na wrandewch arnom a chymryd eich enwaedu, yna cymerwn ein merch a mynd ymaith."
18¶ Na i pai a ratou kupu ki a Hamora, ki a Hekeme hoki, ki te tama a Hamora.
18 Yr oedd eu geiriau'n dderbyniol gan Hamor a Sichem ei fab;
19A kihai i whakaroa taua tamaiti ki te mea i taua mea, he matenui hoki nona ki te tamahine a Hakopa: he nui atu ano ia i nga tangata katoa o te whare o tona papa.

20 A daeth Hamor a'i fab Sichem at borth y ddinas a llefaru wrth wu375?r y ddinas a dweud,
21He hunga ata noho tenei ki a tatou; no reira tukua ratou kia noho ki tenei whenua, kia hokohoko ki konei; na ko te whenua nei, nana, he nui noa atu mo ratou; me tango mai e tatou a ratou tamahine hei wahine ma tatou, ka hoatu hoki i a tatou tama hine ki a ratou.
21 "Y mae'r gwu375?r hyn yn gyfeillgar � ni; gadewch iddynt fyw yn y wlad a marchnata ynddi, oherwydd y mae'r wlad yn ddigon eang iddynt; cymerwn eu merched yn wragedd, a rhown ninnau ein merched iddynt hwythau.
22Kotahi ano ia te mea e whakaae mai ai aua tangata ki a tatou, kia noho ki a tatou, kia waiho hei iwi kotahi, ki te kotia o tatou tane katoa, ki te peratia me ratou kua kotia nei.
22 Ond ar yr amod hwn yn unig y cytuna'r gwu375?r i fyw gyda ni a bod yn un bobl: sef ein bod yn enwaedu pob gwryw yn ein plith, fel y maent hwy wedi eu henwaedu.
23Ko a ratou kararehe, ko a ratou taonga, me a ratou kirehe katoa, e kore ianei ena e riro mai i a tatou? erangi me whakaae atu tatou ki a ratou, a ka noho ratou ki a tatou.
23 Oni fydd eu gwartheg a'u meddiannau a'u holl anifeiliaid yn eiddo i ni? Gadewch inni gytuno � hwy fel y gallant gyd-fyw � ni."
24A i whakarongo ki a Hamora raua ko Hekeme, ko tana tama, nga tangata katoa i haere atu i te kuwaha o tona pa; a i kotia katoatia nga tane, nga tangata katoa i haere atu i te kuwaha o tona pa.
24 Gwrandawodd pob un oedd yn mynd trwy borth y ddinas ar Hamor a'i fab Sichem, ac enwaedwyd pob gwryw yn y ddinas.
25¶ A i te toru o nga ra, i a ratou e mamae ana, na ka tango nga tama tokorua a Hakopa, a Himiona raua ko Riwai, nga tungane o Rina, i tana hoari, i tana hoari, a haere ohorere ana ki te pa, a patua iho e raua nga tane katoa.
25 Ar y trydydd dydd, pan oedd y dynion yn ddolurus, cymerodd dau o feibion Jacob, sef Simeon a Lefi brodyr Dina, eu cleddyfau a mynd yn rhwydd i mewn i'r ddinas a lladd pob gwryw.
26I patua ano hoki e raua a Hamora raua ko Hekeme, ko tana tama ki te mata o te hoari, a tangohia ana e raua a Rina i roto i te whare o Hekeme, a haere ana.
26 Lladdasant Hamor a'i fab Sichem � min y cleddyf, a chymryd Dina o du375? Sichem a mynd ymaith.

27 Rheibiodd meibion Jacob y lladdedigion, ac ysbeilio'r ddinas, am iddynt halogi eu chwaer.
28I tangohia e ratou a ratou hipi, a ratou kau, a ratou kaihe, me nga mea hoki i te pa, me nga mea ano hoki i te mara;
28 Cymerasant y defaid a'r ychen a'r asynnod, a phob peth oedd yn y ddinas ac yn y maes;
29Me a ratou taonga katoa, a whakaraua ana a ratou tamariki katoa, me a ratou wahine, i pahuatia ano hoki nga mea katoa i roto i te whare.
29 cipiasant eu holl gyfoeth, a'r plant bychain a'r gwragedd, ac ysbeilio pob dim oedd yn y tai.
30Na ka mea a Hakopa ki a Himiona raua ko Riwai, Ka raru ahau i a korua, ka meinga kia piro i roto i nga tangata whenua, i roto i nga Kanaani ratou ko nga Perihi: a ka huihui mai ratou ki ahau, ki te hunga tokoiti, a ka patua ahau; a ka ngaro ahau, ahau me toku whare.
30 Yna dywedodd Jacob wrth Simeon a Lefi, "Yr ydych wedi dwyn helbul ar fy mhen a'm gwneud yn ffiaidd gan breswylwyr y wlad, y Canaaneaid a'r Peresiaid; y mae nifer fy mhobl yn fach, ac os ymgasglant yn fy erbyn ac ymosod arnaf, yna difethir fi a'm teulu."
31A ka mea raua, Kia peratia koia e ia to matou tuahine me te wahine kairau?
31 Ond dywedasant hwythau, "A oedd i gael trin ein chwaer fel putain?"
