1¶ Na ka manaakitia a Noa ratou ko ana tama e te Atua. I mea ia ki a ratou, Kia hua, kia tini koutou, kia kapi ano hoki te whenua i a koutou.
1Und Gott segnete Noah und seine Söhne und sprach zu ihnen: Seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und erfüllet die Erde!
2A ko to koutou wehi, ko to koutou whakamataku, ka tau ki runga ki nga kirehe katoa o te whenua, ki nga manu katoa o te rangi, ki nga mea katoa e ngahue ana i runga i te whenua, ki nga ika katoa ano hoki o te moana; kua hoatu ena mea ki to koutou ringa.
2Furcht und Schrecken vor euch soll kommen über alle Tiere der Erde und über alle Vögel des Himmels, über alles, was auf Erden kriecht, und über alle Fische im Meer; in eure Hände seien sie gegeben!

3Alles, was sich regt und lebt, soll euch zur Nahrung dienen; wie das grüne Kraut habe ich es euch alles gegeben.

4Nur esset das Fleisch nicht, während seine Seele, sein Blut, noch in ihm ist!
5Na ko o koutou toto, ko te toto e ora nei koutou, he pono ka rapua e ahau he utu; ka rapua e ahau he utu i nga kirehe katoa; i te tangata ano hoki, ka rapua e ahau he utu mo te matenga o te tangata i te teina o ia tangata, o ia tangata.
5Für euer Blut aber, für eure Seelen, will ich Rechenschaft fordern, von der Hand aller Tiere will ich sie fordern und von des Menschen Hand, von seines Bruders Hand will ich des Menschen Seele fordern.
6Ko ia e whakaheke i nga toto o te tangata, ma te tangata ano ona toto e whakaheke: no te Atua hoki te ahua i hanga ai e ia te tangata.
6Wer Menschenblut vergießt, des Blut soll auch durch Menschen vergossen werden; denn Gott hat den Menschen nach seinem Bild gemacht.
7A ko koutou, kia hua, kia tini; kia nui to koutou uri ki runga kite whenua, kia tini hoki ki reira.
7Ihr aber seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und reget euch auf Erden, daß euer viele werden darauf!
8¶ A i korero te Atua ki a Noa ratou ko ana tama, i mea,
8Und Gott sprach zu Noah und zu seinen Söhnen mit ihm:
9Ko ahau nei, nana, ka whakapumau ahau i taku kawenata ki a koutou, ki to koutou uri i muri i a koutou;
9Siehe, ich richte meinen Bund auf mit euch und mit euren Nachkommen,
10Ki nga mea ora katoa hoki i a koutou, ki te manu, ki te kararehe, ki nga kirehe katoa hoki o te whenua e noho ana i a koutou; ki nga mea katoa i puta mai i roto i te aaka, puta noa ki nga kirehe katoa o te whenua.
10auch mit allen lebendigen Wesen bei euch, mit Vögeln, Vieh und allen Tieren der Erde bei euch, mit allen, die aus der Arche gegangen sind, was für Tiere es seien auf Erden;
11A ka whakapumautia e ahau taku kawenata ki a koutou; e kore e hatepea atu nga kikokiko katoa a muri ake nei e nga wai o te waipuke; e kore ano e puta mai he waipuke a muri ake nei hei whakangaro mo te whenua.
11und zwar will ich meinen Bund mit euch dafür aufrichten, daß forthin nie mehr alles Fleisch von dem Wasser der Sündflut ausgerottet werden, und daß auch keine Sündflut mehr kommen soll, um die Erde zu verderben.
12¶ Ka mea te Atua, Ko te tohu tenei o te kawenata, e whakatakotoria nei e ahau ki waenganui oku, o koutou tae atu ki nga mea ora katoa i a koutou, mo nga whakatupuranga mutungakore:
12Und Gott sprach: Dies ist das Zeichen des Bundes, welchen ich stifte zwischen mir und euch und allen lebendigen Wesen, die bei euch sind, auf ewige Zeiten:
13Ka whakatakotoria e ahau taku kopere ki te kapua, a ka waiho hei tohu mo te kawenata i waenganui oku, o te whenua.
13Meinen Bogen setze ich in die Wolken, der soll ein Zeichen des Bundes sein zwischen mir und der Erde.
14Tenei ake ano, i te wa e whakaputa ai ahau i te kapua ki runga ki te whenua, ka kitea te kopere i te kapua:
14Wenn es nun geschieht, daß ich Wolken über der Erde sammle, und der Bogen in den Wolken erscheint,
15A ka mahara ahau ki taku kawenata i waenganui oku, o koutou me nga mea ora katoa, ara nga kikokiko katoa; e kore nga wai e pupuke a muri ake nei hei whakangaro i nga kikokiko katoa.
15dann will ich an meinen Bund gedenken, welcher zwischen mir und euch und allen lebendigen Wesen von allem Fleisch besteht, daß forthin die Wasser nicht mehr zur Sündflut werden sollen, die alles Fleisch verderbe.
16A ka piri te kopere ki te kapua; a ka titiro atu ahau ki taua mea, kia mahara ai ahau ki te kawenata mau tonu i waenganui o te Atua, o nga wairua ora katoa o nga kikokiko katoa i runga i te whenua.
16Darum soll der Bogen in den Wolken sein, daß ich ihn ansehe und gedenke an den ewigen Bund zwischen Gott und allen lebendigen Wesen von allem Fleisch, das auf Erden ist.
17Na ka mea te Atua ki a Noa, Ko te tohu tenei o te kawenata e whakapumautia nei e ahau ki waenganui oku, o nga kikokiko katoa i runga i te whenua.
17Und Gott sprach zu Noah: Das ist das Zeichen des Bundes, welchen ich aufgerichtet habe zwischen mir und allem Fleisch, das auf Erden ist!
18¶ Na ko nga tama a Noa, i puta mai nei i roto i te aaka, ko Hema, ko Hama, ko Iapeta: a ko Hama te matua o Kanaana.
18Die drei Söhne Noahs aber, welche die Arche verließen, waren Sem, Ham und Japhet. Ham ist der Vater Kanaans.
19Ko nga tama tokotoru enei a Noa: a na enei i kapi ai te whenua katoa.
19Von diesen drei Söhnen Noahs ward die ganze Erde bevölkert.
20Na ka timata a Noa te ngaki whenua, a whakatokia ana e ia he mara waina:
20Noah aber begann und legte als Landmann einen Weinberg an.
21A ka inumia e ia te waina, ka haurangi; na ka takoto tahanga i roto i tona teneti.
21Da er aber von dem Weine trank, ward er betrunken und entblößte sich in seiner Hütte.
22A, i te kitenga o Hama, o te matua o Kanaana, i tona matua e takoto tahanga ana, ka korerotia e ia ki ona tuakana tokorua i waho.
22Da nun Ham, Kanaans Vater, die Blöße seines Vaters sah, verriet er es seinen beiden Brüdern draußen.
23Na ka tango a Hema raua ko Iapeta i tetahi kakahu, maka iho e raua ki runga ki o raua pokohiwi, na ka haere whakatuara atu raua, a hipokina ana te wahi takoto kau o to raua papa; me te ahu ano o raua kanohi ki muri, a kihai raua i kite i te wahi takoto kau o to raua papa.
23Da nahmen Sem und Japhet das Kleid und legten es auf ihre Schultern und gingen rücklings und deckten ihres Vaters Blöße zu und wandten ihre Angesichter ab, daß sie ihres Vaters Blöße nicht sahen.
24¶ Na ka maranga ake a Noa i tana waina, ka mohio ki ta tana potiki i mea ai ki a ia.
24Als nun Noah von dem Wein erwachte und erfuhr, was ihm sein jüngster Sohn getan,
25Na ka mea ia, Ka kanga a Kanaana, ka waiho ia hei tino pononga ma ona tuakana.
25da sprach er: Verflucht sei Kanaan! Er sei ein Knecht der Knechte seiner Brüder!
26I mea ano ia, Kia whakapaingia a Ihowa, te Atua o Hema; a ka waiho a Kanaana hei pononga mana.
26Und weiter sprach er: Gepriesen sei der HERR, der Gott Sems, und Kanaan sei sein Knecht!
27Ka meinga a Iapeta e te Atua kia tohatoha noa atu, kia noho hoki ia ki nga teneti o Hema; a hei pononga a Kanaana mana.
27Gott breite Japhet aus und lasse ihn wohnen in Sems Hütten, und Kanaan sei sein Knecht!
28¶ A e toru rau e rima tekau nga tau i ora ai a Noa i muri i te waipuke.
28Noah aber lebte nach der Sündflut noch 350 Jahre lang,
29A ko nga ra katoa o Noa e iwa rau e rima tekau tau: a ka mate ia.
29also daß Noahs ganzes Alter 950 Jahre betrug, als er starb.
