1ദാവീദിന്റെ അന്ത്യവാക്യങ്ങളാവിതുയിശ്ശായിപ്പുത്രന് ദാവീദ് ചൊല്ലുന്നു; ഔന്നത്യം പ്രാപിച്ച പുരുഷന് ചൊല്ലുന്നു; യാക്കോബിന് ദൈവത്താല് അഭിഷിക്തന് , യിസ്രായേലിന് മധുരഗായകന് തന്നേ.
1Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:
2യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവു എന്നില് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
2“The Spirit of Yahweh spoke by me. His word was on my tongue.
3യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിന് പാറ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തുമനുഷ്യരെ നീതിമാനായി ഭരിക്കുന്നവന് ,
3The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,
4ദൈവഭയത്തോടെ വാഴുന്നവന് , മേഘമില്ലാത്ത പ്രഭാതകാലത്തു സുര്യോദയത്തിങ്കലെ പ്രകാശത്തിന്നു തുല്യന് ; മഴെക്കു പിമ്പു സൂര്യകാന്തിയാല് ഭൂമിയില് മുളെക്കുന്ന ഇളമ്പുല്ലിന്നു തുല്യന് .
4shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain.’
5ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് എന്റെ ഗൃഹം അതു പോലെയല്ലയോ? അവന് എന്നോടു ഒരു ശാശ്വതനിയമം ചെയ്തുവല്ലോഅതു എല്ലാറ്റിലും സ്ഥാപിതവും സ്ഥിരവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു. അവന് എനിക്കു സകലരക്ഷയും വാഞ്ഛയും തഴെപ്പിക്കയില്ലയോ?
5Most certainly my house is not so with God, yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he doesn’t make it grow.
6എന്നാല് സകലനീചന്മാരും എറിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്നതും കൈകൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചുകൂടാത്തതുമായ മുള്ളുപോലെ ആകുന്നു.
6But all of the ungodly shall be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can’t be taken with the hand,
7അവയെ തൊടുവാന് തുനിയുന്നവന് ഇരിമ്പും കുന്തപ്പിടിയും ധരിച്ചിരിക്കേണം; അവയെ അവ കിടക്കുന്നേടത്തു തന്നേ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം.
7But the man who touches them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear. They shall be utterly burned with fire in their place.”
8ദാവീദിന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വീരന്മാരുടെ പേരുകളാവിതുതഹ്കെമോന്യന് യോശേബ്-ബശ്ശേബെത്ത്; അവന് നായകന്മാരില് തലവന് ; എണ്ണൂറുപേരെ ഒരേ സമയത്തു ആക്രമിച്ചു കൊന്ന എസ്ന്യന് അദീനോ ഇവന് തന്നേ.
8These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb Basshebeth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite, against eight hundred slain at one time.
9അവന്റെ ശേഷം ഒരു അഹോഹ്യന്റെ മകനായ ദോദായിയുടെ മകന് എലെയാസാര്; അവന് ഫെലിസ്ത്യര് യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്യര് പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞപ്പോള് ദാവീദിനോടുകൂടെ നിന്നു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെല്ലുവിളിച്ച മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന് ആയിരുന്നു.
9After him was Eleazar the son of Dodai the son of an Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines who were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away.
10അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കൈതളര്ന്നു വാളോടു പറ്റിപ്പോകുംവരെ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെട്ടി; അന്നു യഹോവ വലിയോരു ജയം നല്കി; കൊള്ളയിടുവാന് മാത്രമേ പടജ്ജനം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിവന്നുള്ളു.
10He arose, and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand froze to the sword; and Yahweh worked a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to take spoil.
11അവന്റ ശേഷം ഹാരാര്യ്യനായ ആഗേയുടെ മകനായ ശമ്മാ; ഒരിക്കല്; ചെറുപയര് ഉള്ളോരു വയലില് കവര്ച്ചെക്കു ഫെലിസ്ത്യര് കൂടിവന്നപ്പോള് ജനം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഔടിപ്പോയി.
11After him was Shammah the son of Agee a Hararite. The Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where there was a plot of ground full of lentils; and the people fled from the Philistines.
12അവനോ വയലിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു അതിനെ കാത്തു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെട്ടി; യഹോവ വലിയോരു ജയം നല്കി.
12But he stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and Yahweh worked a great victory.
13മുപ്പതു നായകന്മാരില് മൂന്നുപേര് കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു അദുല്ലാംഗുഹയില് ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു; ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ സൈന്യം രെഫായീംതാഴ്വരയില് പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
13Three of the thirty chief men went down, and came to David in the harvest time to the cave of Adullam; and the troop of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
14അന്നു ദാവീദ് ദുര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ആയിരുന്നു; ഫെലിസ്ത്യര്ക്കും ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമില് അക്കാലത്തു ഒരു കാവല്പട്ടാളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
14David was then in the stronghold; and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
15ബേത്ത്ളേഹെംപട്ടണവാതില്ക്കലെ കിണറ്റില്നിന്നു വെള്ളം എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് ആര് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും എന്നു ദാവീദ് ആര്ത്തിപൂണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.
15David longed, and said, “Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
16അപ്പോള് ആ മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരും ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ പാളയത്തില്കൂടി കടന്നുചെന്നു ബേത്ത്ളേഹെംപട്ടണവാതില്ക്കലെ കിണറ്റില് നിന്നു വെള്ളം കോരി ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവനോ അതു കുടിപ്പാന് മനസ്സില്ലാതെ യഹോവേക്കു നിവേദിച്ചു ഒഴിച്ചു
16The three mighty men broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh.
17യഹോവേ, തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുപോയ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ രക്തം ഞാന് കുടിക്കയോ? ഇതു ചെയ്വാന് എനിക്കു സംഗതിവരരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അതു കുടിപ്പാന് അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു. ഇതാകുന്നു ഈ മൂന്നു വീരന്മാര് ചെയ്തതു.
17He said, “Be it far from me, Yahweh, that I should do this! Isn’t it the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?” Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.
18യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനും സെരൂയയുടെ മകനുമായ അബീശായി മൂന്നുപേരില് തലവന് ആയിരുന്നു. അവന് തന്റെ കുന്തത്തെ മന്നൂറുപേരുടെ നേരെ ഔങ്ങി, അവരെ കൊന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് മൂവരില്വെച്ചു കീര്ത്തി പ്രാപിച്ചു.
18Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. He lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.
19അവന് മൂവരിലും മാനം ഏറിയവന് ആയിരുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും തലവനായ്തീര്ന്നു. എന്നാല് അവന് മറ്റെ മൂവരോളം വരികയില്ല.
19Wasn’t he most honorable of the three? therefore he was made their captain: however he didn’t attain to the three.
20കബ്സേലില് ഒരു പരാക്രമശാലിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകന് ബെനായാവും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികള് ചെയ്തു; അവന് മോവാബിലെ അരീയേലിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരെ സംഹരിച്ചതുമല്ലാതെ ഹിമകാലത്തു ഒരു ഗുഹയില് ചെന്നു ഒരു സിംഹത്തെയും കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
20Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab: he went down also and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.
21അവന് കോമളനായ ഒരു മിസ്രയീമ്യനെയും സംഹരിച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യില് ഒരു കുന്തം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവനോ ഒരു വടിയുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നും കുന്തം പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു കുന്തംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കൊന്നു.
21He killed an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and killed him with his own spear.
22ഇതു യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവു ചെയ്തു, മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരില് കീര്ത്തി പ്രാപിച്ചു.
22Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did these things, and had a name among the three mighty men.
23അവന് മുപ്പതുപേരില് മാനമേറിയവനായിരുന്നു എങ്കിലും മറ്റെ മൂന്നുപേരോളം വരികയില്ല. ദാവീദ് അവനെ അകമ്പടിനായകനാക്കി.
23He was more honorable than the thirty, but he didn’t attain to the three. David set him over his guard.
24യോവാബിയന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അസാഹേല് മുപ്പതുപേരില് ഒരുത്തന് ആയിരുന്നു; അവര് ആരെന്നാല്ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമ്യനായ ദോദോവിന്റെ മകന് എല്ഹാനാന് , ഹരോദ്യന് ശമ്മാ, ഹരോദ്യന് എലീക്കാ,
24Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
25പല്ത്യന് ഹേലെസ്, തെക്കോവ്യനായ ഇക്കേശിന്റെ മകന് ഈരാ,
25Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,
26അനഥോത്യന് അബീയേസെര്, ഹൂശാത്യന് മെബുന്നായി, അഹോഹ്യന് സല്മോന് ,
26Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,
27നെത്തോഫാത്യന് മഹരായി,
27Abiezer the Anathothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,
28നെത്തോഫാത്യനായ ബാനയുടെ മകന് ഹേലെബ്,
28Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,
29ബെന്യാമീന്യരുടെ ഗിബെയയില്നിന്നുള്ള രീബായിയുടെ മകന് ഇത്ഥായി,
29Heleb the son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,
30പിരാതോന്യന് ബെനായ്യാവു,
30Benaiah a Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash.

31Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

32Eliahba the Shaalbonite, the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

33Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Ararite,
34മാഖാത്യന്റെ മകനായ അഹശ്ബായിയുടെ മകന് എലീഫേലെത്, ഗിലോന്യനായ അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ മകന് എലീയാം,
34Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maacathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

37Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armor bearers to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

38Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

39Uriah the Hittite: thirty-seven in all.
