¹നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ചെന്നു അതു കൈവശമാക്കി അവിടെ പാര്‍ക്കുംമ്പോള്‍

¹It shall be, when you have come in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell therein,

²നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ നിലത്തില്‍നിന്നു ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതായി നിലത്തിലെ എല്ലാവക കൃഷിയുടെയും ആദ്യഫലം കുറെശ്ശ എടുത്തു ഒരു കൊട്ടയില്‍ വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണം.

²that you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you shall bring in from your land that Yahweh your God gives you; and you shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

³അന്നുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ നീ ചെന്നു അവനോടുനമുക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു ഞാന്‍ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു ഞാന്‍ ഇന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം.

³You shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and tell him, “I profess this day to Yahweh your God, that I am come to the land which Yahweh swore to our fathers to give us.”

⁴പുരോഹിതന്‍ ആ കൊട്ട നിന്റെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍ വെക്കേണം.

⁴The priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before the altar of Yahweh your God.

⁵പിന്നെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ നീ പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍എന്റെ പിതാവു ദേശാന്തരിയായോരു അരാമ്യനായിരുന്നു; ചുരുക്കംപേരോടു കൂടി അവന്‍ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു പരദേശിയായി പാര്‍ത്തു; അവിടെ വലിപ്പവും ബലവും പെരുപ്പവുമുള്ള ജനമായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു.

⁵You shall answer and say before Yahweh your God, “A Syrian ready to perish was my father; and he went down into Egypt, and lived there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.

⁶എന്നാല്‍ മിസ്രയീമ്യര്‍ ഞങ്ങളോടു തിന്മ ചെയ്തു ഞങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു കഠിനവേല ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

⁶The Egyptians dealt ill with us, and afflicted us, and laid on us hard bondage:

⁷അപ്പോള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു ഞങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയും പ്രയാസവും ഞെരുക്കവും കണ്ടു.

⁷and we cried to Yahweh, the God of our fathers, and Yahweh heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression;

⁸യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കയ്യാലും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജത്താലും മഹാഭയങ്കരപ്രവൃത്തിയോടും അടയാളങ്ങളോടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളോടുംകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു

⁸and Yahweh brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs, and with wonders;

⁹ഞങ്ങളെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശം ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁹and he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

¹⁰ഇതാ, യഹോവേ, നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിലത്തിലെ ആദ്യഫലം ഞാന്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ കെണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. പിന്നെ നീ അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ നമസ്കരിക്കേണം.

¹⁰Now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which you, Yahweh, have given me.” You shall set it down before Yahweh your God, and worship before Yahweh your God.

¹¹നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നും തന്നിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മയിലും നീയും ലേവ്യനും നിങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പരദേശിയും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

¹¹You shall rejoice in all the good which Yahweh your God has given to you, and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the foreigner who is in the midst of you.

¹²ദശാംശം എടുക്കുന്ന കാലമായ മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില്‍ നിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിലൊക്കെയും ദശാംശം എടുത്തു ലേവ്യനും പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്‍വെച്ചു തൃപ്തിയാംവണ്ണം തിന്മാന്‍ കൊടുത്തു തീര്‍ന്നശേഷം

¹²When you have made an end of tithing all the tithe of your increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled.

¹³നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ നീ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കല്പനപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും ഞാന്‍ വിശുദ്ധമായതു എന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ലേവ്യന്നും പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവേക്കും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ കല്പന ലംഘിക്കയോ മറന്നുകളകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

¹³You shall say before Yahweh your God, “I have put away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandment which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed any of your commandments, neither have I forgotten them:

¹⁴എന്റെ ദുഃഖത്തില്‍ ഞാന്‍ അതില്‍ നിന്നു തിന്നിട്ടില്ല; അശുദ്ധനായിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ അതില്‍ ഒന്നും നീക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടില്ല; മരിച്ചവന്നു അതില്‍നിന്നു ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടുമില്ല; ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁴I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I put away of it, being unclean, nor given of it for the dead: I have listened to the voice of Yahweh my God; I have done according to all that you have commanded me.

¹⁵നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍നിന്നു നോക്കി നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തന്ന ദേശമായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ.

¹⁵Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the ground which you have given us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

¹⁶ഈ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ആചരിപ്പാന്‍ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; നീ അവയെ പൂര്‍ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്‍ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണം.

¹⁶This day Yahweh your God commands you to do these statutes and ordinances: you shall therefore keep and do them with all your heart, and with all your soul.

¹⁷യഹോവ നിനക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും നീ അവന്റെ വഴികളില്‍ നടന്നു അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വചനം അനുസരിക്കേണമെന്നും നീ ഇന്നു അരുളപ്പാടു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁷You have declared Yahweh this day to be your God, and that you would walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and listen to his voice:

¹⁸യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ അവന്നു സ്വന്തജനമായി അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുമെന്നും

¹⁸and Yahweh has declared you this day to be a people for his own possession, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;

¹⁹താന്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സകലജാതികള്‍ക്കും മീതെ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കും കീര്‍ത്തിക്കും മാനത്തിന്നുമായി ഉന്നതമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു താന്‍ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും ഇന്നു നിന്റെ വാമൊഴി വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁹and to make you high above all nations that he has made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that you may be a holy people to Yahweh your God, as he has spoken.
