¹കര്‍ത്തൃസേവനിമിത്തം ബദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്ന ഞാന്‍ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുനിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിളിക്കു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം

¹I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,

²പൂര്‍ണ്ണവിനയത്തോടും സൌമ്യതയോടും ദീര്‍ഘക്ഷമയോടുംകൂടെ നടക്കയും സ്നേഹത്തില്‍ അന്യോന്യം പൊറുക്കയും

²with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love;

³ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഐക്യത സമാധാനബന്ധത്തില്‍ കാപ്പാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിന്‍ .

³being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

⁴നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഏകപ്രത്യാശെക്കായി നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചതുപോലെ ശരീരം ഒന്നു, ആത്മാവു ഒന്നു,

⁴There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling;

⁵കര്‍ത്താവു ഒരുവന്‍ , വിശ്വാസം ഒന്നു, സ്നാനം ഒന്നു, എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനും

⁵one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

⁶എല്ലാവരിലും കൂടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നവനും എല്ലാവരിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായി എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്‍ ഒരുവന്‍ .

⁶one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.

⁷എന്നാല്‍ നമ്മില്‍ ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാനത്തിന്റെ അളവിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൃപ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁷But to each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

⁸അതുകൊണ്ടു“അവന്‍ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പോയി ഉയരത്തില്‍ കയറി മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കും ദാനങ്ങളെ കൊടുത്തു” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

⁸Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.” Psalm 68:18

⁹കയറി എന്നതിനാല്‍ അവന്‍ ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി എന്നു വരുന്നില്ലയോ?

⁹Now this, “He ascended,” what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?

¹⁰ഇറങ്ങിയവന്‍ സകലത്തെയും നിറെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നു മീതെ കയറിയവനും ആകുന്നു.

¹⁰He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.

¹¹അവന്‍ ചിലരെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരായും ചിലരെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ സുവിശേഷകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ ഇടയന്മാരായും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരായും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

¹¹He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds or, pastors and teachers;

¹²അതു നാം എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും ദൈവപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലുമുള്ള ഐക്യതയും തികഞ്ഞ പുരുഷത്വവും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സമ്പൂര്‍ണ്ണതയായ പ്രായത്തിന്റെ അളവും പ്രാപിക്കുവോളം

¹²for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ;

¹³വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്തിന്നായുള്ള ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ ആത്മികവര്‍ദ്ധനെക്കും ആകുന്നു.

¹³until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

¹⁴അങ്ങനെ നാം ഇനി മനുഷ്യരുടെ ചതിയാലും ഉപായത്താലും തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്ന തന്ത്രങ്ങളില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം ഉപദേശത്തിന്റെ ഔരോ കാറ്റിനാല്‍ അലഞ്ഞുഴലുന്ന ശിശുക്കള്‍ ആയിരിക്കാതെ

¹⁴that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

¹⁵സ്നേഹത്തില്‍ സത്യം സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന തലയോളം സകലത്തിലും വളരുവാന്‍ ഇടയാകും.

¹⁵but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ;

¹⁶ശരീരം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേര്‍ന്നും ഏകീഭവിച്ചും ഔരോ അംഗത്തിന്റെ അതതു വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഉതവി ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ഏതു സന്ധിയാലും സ്നേഹത്തിലുള്ള വര്‍ദ്ധനെക്കായി അവനില്‍ നിന്നു വളര്‍ച്ച പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁶from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

¹⁷ആകയാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ കര്‍ത്താവില്‍ സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍ജാതികള്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യര്‍ത്ഥബുദ്ധി അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇനി നടക്കരുതു.

¹⁷This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,

¹⁸അവര്‍ അന്ധബുദ്ധികളായി അജ്ഞാനം നിമിത്തം, ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തം തന്നേ,

¹⁸being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts;

¹⁹ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജീവനില്‍ നിന്നു അകന്നു മനം തഴമ്പിച്ചു പോയവര്‍ ആകയാല്‍ അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തോടെ സകല അശുദ്ധിയും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിപ്പാന്‍ ദുഷ്കാമത്തിന്നു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁹who having become callous gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

²⁰നിങ്ങളോ യേശുവില്‍ സത്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടു അവനില്‍ ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചു എങ്കില്‍

²⁰But you did not learn Christ that way;

²¹ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെയല്ല പഠിച്ചതു.

²¹if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:

²²മുമ്പിലത്തെ നടപ്പു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ചതിമോഹങ്ങളാല്‍ വഷളായിപ്പോകുന്ന പഴയ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു

²²that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man, that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit;

²³നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധമായി പുതുക്കം പ്രാപിച്ചു

²³and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

²⁴സത്യത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായ നീതിയിലും വിശുദ്ധിയിലും ദൈവാനുരൂപമായി സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട പുതുമനുഷ്യനെ ധരിച്ചുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ .

²⁴and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

²⁵ആകയാല്‍ ഭോഷകു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു സത്യം സംസാരിപ്പിന്‍ ; നാം തമ്മില്‍ അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

²⁵Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

²⁶കോപിച്ചാല്‍ പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിന്‍ . സൂര്യന്‍ അസ്തമിക്കുവോളം നിങ്ങള്‍ കോപം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കരുതു.

²⁶“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Psalm 4:4 Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,

²⁷പിശാചിന്നു ഇടം കൊടുക്കരുതു.

²⁷neither give place to the devil.

²⁸കള്ളന്‍ ഇനി കക്കാതെ മുട്ടുള്ളവന്നു ദാനം ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു കൈകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

²⁸Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.

²⁹കേള്‍ക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും കൃപ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആവശ്യംപോലെ ആത്മികവര്‍ദ്ധനെക്കായി നല്ല വാക്കല്ലാതെ ആകാത്തതു ഒന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ വായില്‍ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടരുതു.

²⁹Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.

³⁰ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിക്കരുതു; അവനാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുനാളിന്നായി മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു.

³⁰Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

³¹എല്ലാ കൈപ്പും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൂറ്റാരവും ദൂഷണവും സകലദുര്‍ഗ്ഗുണവുമായി നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.

³¹Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice.

³²നിങ്ങള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ദയയും മനസ്സലിവുമുള്ളവരായി ദൈവം ക്രിസ്തുവില്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചതുപോലെ അന്യോന്യം ക്ഷമിപ്പിന്‍ .

³²And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
