¹അവന്‍ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടുനീയും അഹരോനും നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും യിസ്രായേല്‍മൂപ്പന്മാരില്‍ എഴുപതുപേരും യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ കയറിവന്നു ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു നമസ്കരിപ്പിന്‍ .

¹He said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.

²മോശെ മാത്രം യഹോവേക്കു അടുത്തുവരട്ടെ. അവര്‍ അടുത്തു വരരുതു; ജനം അവനോടുകൂടെ കയറി വരികയുമരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

²Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him.”

³എന്നാറെ മോശെ വന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളും ന്യായങ്ങളും എല്ലാം ജനത്തെ അറിയിച്ചു. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ച സകലകാര്യങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യും എന്നു ജനമൊക്കെയും ഏകശബ്ദത്തോടെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

³Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”

⁴മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും എഴുതി അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു പര്‍വ്വതത്തിന്റെ അടിവാരത്തു ഒരു യാഗപീഠവും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യക്കൊത്തവണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു തൂണും പണിതു.

⁴Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁵പിന്നെ അവര്‍ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളില്‍ ചില ബാല്യക്കാരെ അയച്ചു; അവര്‍ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിച്ചു യഹോവേക്കു സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളായി കാളകളെയും അര്‍പ്പിച്ചു.

⁵He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.

⁶മോശെ രക്തത്തില്‍ പാതി എടുത്തു പാത്രങ്ങളില്‍ ഒഴിച്ചു; രക്തത്തില്‍ പാതി യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല്‍ തളിച്ചു.

⁶Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

⁷അവന്‍ നിയമപുസ്തകം എടുത്തു ജനം കേള്‍ക്കെ വായിച്ചു. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള്‍ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുമെന്നു അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

⁷He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “All that Yahweh has spoken will we do, and be obedient.”

⁸അപ്പോള്‍ മോശെ രക്തം എടുത്തു ജനത്തിന്മേല്‍ തളിച്ചു; ഈ സകലവചനങ്ങളും ആധാരമാക്കി യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്റെ രക്തം ഇതാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁸Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

⁹അനന്തരം മോശെയും അഹരോനും നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും യിസ്രായേല്‍മൂപ്പന്മാരില്‍ എഴുപതുപേരുംകൂടെ കയറിച്ചെന്നു.

⁹Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.

¹⁰അവര്‍ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പാദങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കീഴെ നീലക്കല്ലു പടുത്ത തളംപോലെയും ആകാശത്തിന്റെ സ്വച്ഛതപോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

¹⁰They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire or, lapis lazuli stone, like the skies for clearness.

¹¹യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളുടെ പ്രമാണികള്‍ക്കു തൃക്കയ്യാല്‍ ഒന്നും ഭവിച്ചില്ല; അവര്‍ ദൈവത്തെ കണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണ പാനീയങ്ങള്‍ കഴിച്ചു.

¹¹He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.

¹²പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടുനീ എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ കയറിവന്നു അവിടെ ഇരിക്ക; ഞാന്‍ നിനക്കു കല്പലകകളും നീ അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ എഴുതിയ ന്യായപ്രമാണവും കല്പനകളും തരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

¹²Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”

¹³അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനായ യോശുവയും എഴുന്നേറ്റു, മോശെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പര്‍വ്വത്തില്‍ കയറി.

¹³Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.

¹⁴അവന്‍ മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുഞങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ മടങ്ങിവരുവോളം ഇവിടെ താമസിപ്പിന്‍ ; അഹരോനും ഹൂരും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ആര്‍ക്കെങ്കിലും വല്ല കാര്യവുമുണ്ടായാല്‍ അവന്‍ അവരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെല്ലട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁴He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”

¹⁵അങ്ങനെ മോശെ പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ കയറിപ്പോയി; ഒരു മേഘം പര്‍വ്വതത്തെ മൂടി.

¹⁵Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

¹⁶യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സും സീനായി പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ ആവസിച്ചു. മേഘം ആറു ദിവസം അതിനെ മൂടിയിരുന്നു; അവന്‍ ഏഴാം ദിവസം മേഘത്തിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ നിന്നു മോശെയെ വിളിച്ചു.

¹⁶The glory of Yahweh settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

¹⁷യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ കാഴ്ച പര്‍വ്വതത്തിന്റെ മുകളില്‍ കത്തുന്ന തീപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കള്‍ക്കു തോന്നി.

¹⁷The appearance of the glory of Yahweh was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

¹⁸മോശെയോ മേഘത്തിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ കയറി. മോശ നാല്പതു പകലും നാല്പതു രാവും പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു.

¹⁸Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
