1അബ്രാഹാം വയസ്സുചെന്നു വൃദ്ധനായി; യഹോവ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ സകലത്തിലും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.
1Abraham was old, and well stricken in age. Yahweh had blessed Abraham in all things.
2തന്റെ വീട്ടില് മൂപ്പനും തനിക്കുള്ളതിന്നൊക്കെയും വിചാരകനുമായ ദാസനോടു അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞതുനിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ തുടയിന് കീഴില് വെക്കുക;
2Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please put your hand under my thigh.
3ചുറ്റും പാര്ക്കുംന്ന കനാന്യരുടെ കന്യകമാരില്നിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,
3I will make you swear by Yahweh, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live.
4എന്റെ ദേശത്തും എന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു എന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കുമെന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് ഞാന് നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കും.
4But you shall go to my country, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”
5ദാസന് അവനോടുപക്ഷേ സ്ത്രീക്കു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഈ ദേശത്തേക്കു വരുവാന് മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിലോ? നീ വിട്ടുപോന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു ഞാന് നിന്റെ മകനെ മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5The servant said to him, “What if the woman isn’t willing to follow me to this land? Must I bring your son again to the land you came from?”
6അബ്രാഹാം അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്റെ മകനെ അവിടെക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു പോകാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.
6Abraham said to him, “Beware that you don’t bring my son there again.
7എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തില്നിന്നും ജന്മദേശത്തുനിന്നും എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനും എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തവനും നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു ഞാന് ഈ ദേശം കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു എന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തവനുമായി സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്റെ മകന്നു നീ ഒരു ഭാര്യയെ അവിടെനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി തന്റെ ദൂതനെ അയക്കും.
7Yahweh, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, ‘I will give this land to your seed or, offspring .’ He will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.
8എന്നാല് സ്ത്രീക്കു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ വരുവാന് മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കില് നീ ഈ സത്യത്തില് നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും; എന്റെ മകനെ അവിടേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോക മാത്രം അരുതു.
8If the woman isn’t willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this my oath. Only you shall not bring my son there again.”
9അപ്പോള് ദാസന് തന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ തുടയിന് കീഴില് കൈവെച്ചു അങ്ങനെ അവനോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തു.
9The servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.
10അനന്തരം ആ ദാസന് തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളില് പത്തു ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയും യജമാനന്നുള്ള വിവിധമായ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളെയും കൊണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു മെസൊപ്പൊത്താമ്യയില് നാഹോരിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തില് ചെന്നു.
10The servant took ten camels, of his master’s camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master’s with him. He arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.
11വൈകുന്നേരം സ്ത്രീകള് വെള്ളം കോരുവാന് വരുന്ന സമയത്തു അവന് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു ഒരു കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ നിറുത്തി പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
11He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.
12എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു കൃപചെയ്തു ഇന്നുതന്നെ കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിച്ചുതരേണമേ.
12He said, “Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.
13ഇതാ, ഞാന് കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ നിലക്കുന്നു; ഈ പട്ടണക്കാരുടെ കന്യകമാര് വെള്ളം കോരുവാന് വരുന്നു.
13Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.
14നിന്റെ പാത്രം ഇറക്കി എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരേണം എന്നു ഞാന് പറയുമ്പോള്കുടിക്ക; നിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുക്കാമെന്നു പറയുന്ന സ്ത്രീ തന്നേ നീ നിന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു നിയമിച്ചവളായിരിക്കട്ടെ; നീ എന്റെ യജമാനനോടു കൃപ ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന് അതിനാല് ഗ്രഹിക്കും.
14Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, ‘Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,’ and she will say, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,’—let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”
15അവന് പറഞ്ഞു തീരുംമുമ്പെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ നാഹോരിന്റെ ഭാര്യ മില്ക്കയുടെ മകന് ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകള് റിബെക്കാ തോളില് പാത്രവുമായി വന്നു.
15It happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher on her shoulder.
16ബാല അതിസുന്ദരിയും പുരുഷന് തൊടാത്ത കന്യകയും ആയിരുന്നു; അവള് കിണറ്റില് ഇറങ്ങി പാത്രം നിറച്ചു കയറിവന്നു.
16The young lady was very beautiful to look at, a virgin, neither had any man known her. She went down to the spring, filled her pitcher, and came up.
17ദാസന് വേഗത്തില് അവളെ എതിരേറ്റു ചെന്നുനിന്റെ പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം കുറെ എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17The servant ran to meet her, and said, “Please give me a drink, a little water from your pitcher.”
18യജമാനനേ, കുടിക്ക എന്നു അവള് പറഞ്ഞു വേഗം പാത്രം കയ്യില് ഇറക്കി അവന്നു കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുത്തു.
18She said, “Drink, my lord.” She hurried, and let down her pitcher on her hand, and gave him drink.
19അവന്നു കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുത്ത ശേഷംനിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും വേണ്ടുവോളം ഞാന് കോരിക്കൊടുക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,
19When she had done giving him drink, she said, “I will also draw for your camels, until they have done drinking.”
20പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം വേഗം തൊട്ടിയില് ഒഴിച്ചു, പിന്നെയും കോരിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കിണറ്റിലേക്കു ഔടി ഇറങ്ങി അവന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും എല്ലാം കോരിക്കൊടുത്തു.
20She hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.
21ആ പുരുഷന് അവളെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കി, യഹോവ തന്റെ യാത്രയെ സഫലമാക്കിയോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
21The man looked steadfastly at her, remaining silent, to know whether Yahweh had made his journey prosperous or not.
22ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് കുടിച്ചു തീര്ന്നപ്പോള് അവന് അര ശേക്കെല് തൂക്കമുള്ള ഒരു പൊന്മൂകൂത്തിയും അവളുടെ കൈക്കിടുവാന് പത്തു ശേക്കെല് തൂക്കമുള്ള രണ്ടു പൊന് വളയും എടുത്തു അവളോടു
22It happened, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,
23നീ ആരുടെ മകള്? പറക; നിന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു രാപാര്പ്പാന് സ്ഥലമുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
23and said, “Whose daughter are you? Please tell me. Is there room in your father’s house for us to lodge in?”
24അവള് അവനോടുനാഹോരിന്നു മില്ക്കാ പ്രസവിച്ച മകനായ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകള് ആകുന്നു ഞാന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
24She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”
25ഞങ്ങളുടെയവിടെ വയ്ക്കോലും തീനും വേണ്ടുവോളം ഉണ്ടു; രാപാര്പ്പാന് സ്ഥലവും ഉണ്ടു എന്നും അവള് പറഞ്ഞു.
25She said moreover to him, “We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.”
26അപ്പോള് ആ പുരുഷന് കുനിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു
26The man bowed his head, and worshiped Yahweh.
27എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് എന്റെ യജമാനനോടുള്ള ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഈ യാത്രയില് യഹോവ എന്നെ എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, Yahweh has led me in the way to the house of my master’s relatives.”
28ബാല ഔടിച്ചെന്നു അമ്മയുടെ വീട്ടുകാരെ ഈ വസ്തുത അറിയിച്ചു.
28The young lady ran, and told her mother’s house about these words.
29റിബെക്കെക്കു ഒരു സഹോദരന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്നു ലാബാന് എന്നു പേര്. ലാബാന് പുറത്തു കിണറ്റിങ്കല് ആ പുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഔടിച്ചെന്നു.
29Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban. Laban ran out to the man, to the spring.
30അവന് മൂകൂത്തിയും സഹോദരിയുടെ കൈമേല് വളയും കാണുകയും ആ പുരുഷന് ഇന്നപ്രകാരം എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു തന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ റിബെക്കയുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് ആ പുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു; അവന് കിണറ്റിങ്കല് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളുടെ അരികെ നില്ക്കയായിരുന്നു.
30It happened, when he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, “This is what the man said to me,” that he came to the man. Behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.
31അപ്പോള് അവന് യഹോവയാല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനേ, അകത്തു വരിക; എന്തിന്നു പുറത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു? വീടും ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കു സ്ഥലവും ഞാന് ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
31He said, “Come in, you blessed of Yahweh. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.”
32അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷന് വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു. അവന് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ കോപ്പഴിച്ചു ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കു വയ്ക്കോലും തീനും അവന്നും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും കാലുകളെ കഴുകുവാന് വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്തു, അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഭക്ഷണം വെച്ചു.
32The man came into the house, and he unloaded the camels. He gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.
33ഞാന് വന്ന കാര്യം അറിയിക്കും മുമ്പെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു. പറക എന്നു അവനും പറഞ്ഞു.
33Food was set before him to eat, but he said, “I will not eat until I have told my message.” He said, “Speak on.”
34അപ്പോള് അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസന് .
34He said, “I am Abraham’s servant.
35യഹോവ എന്റെ യജമാനനെ ഏറ്റവും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവന് മഹാനായിത്തീര്ന്നു; അവന് അവന്നു ആടു, മാടു, പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, ദാസീദാസന്മാര്, ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് കഴുതകള് എന്നീവകയൊക്കെയും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
35Yahweh has blessed my master greatly. He has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, and camels and donkeys.
36എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ വൃദ്ധയായശേഷം എന്റെ യജമാനന്നു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവന് തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും അവന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
36Sarah, my master’s wife, bore a son to my master when she was old. He has given all that he has to him.
37ഞാന് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന കനാന് ദേശത്തിലെ കനാന്യ കന്യകമാരില്നിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,
37My master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live,
38എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിലും വംശക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യജമാനന് എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.
38but you shall go to my father’s house, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.’
39ഞാന് യജമാനനോടുപക്ഷേ സ്ത്രീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ പേരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു അവന് എന്നോടു
39I asked my master, ‘What if the woman will not follow me?’
40ഞാന് സേവിച്ചുപോരുന്ന യഹോവ തന്റെ ദൂതനെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചു, നീ എന്റെ വംശത്തില്നിന്നും പിതൃഭവനത്തില്നിന്നും എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ യാത്രയെ സഫലമാക്കും;
40He said to me, ‘Yahweh, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son of my relatives, and of my father’s house.
41എന്റെ വംശക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നാല് നീ ഈ സത്യത്തില്നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും; അവര് നിനക്കു തരുന്നില്ല എന്നു വരികിലും നീ ഈ സത്യത്തില് നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41Then will you be clear from my oath, when you come to my relatives. If they don’t give her to you, you shall be clear from my oath.’
42ഞാന് ഇന്നു കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ വന്നപ്പോള് പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ യാത്രയെ നീ സഫലമാക്കി എങ്കില്--
42I came this day to the spring, and said, ‘Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, if now you do prosper my way which I go—
43ഇതാ, ഞാന് കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ നിലക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം കോരുവാന് ഒരു കന്യക വരികയും ഞാന് അവളോടുനിന്റെ പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം കുറെ എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരിക എന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്, അവള് എന്നോടുകുടിക്ക,
43behold, I am standing by this spring of water. Let it happen, that the maiden who comes out to draw, to whom I will say, “Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,”
44ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും കോരി കൊടുക്കാമെന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്താല് അവള് തന്നേ യഹോവ എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകന്നു നിയമിച്ച സ്ത്രീയായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
44and she will tell me, “Drink, and I will also draw for your camels,”—let her be the woman whom Yahweh has appointed for my master’s son.’
45ഞാന് ഇങ്ങനെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറഞ്ഞു തീരുമ്മുമ്പെ ഇതാ, റിബെക്കാ തോളില് പാത്രവുമായി വന്നു കിണറ്റില് ഇറങ്ങി വെള്ളം കോരി; ഞാന് അവളോടുഎനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
45Before I had finished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. She went down to the spring, and drew. I said to her, ‘Please let me drink.’
46അവള് വേഗം തോളില്നിന്നു പാത്രം ഇറക്കികുടിക്ക, ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് കുടിച്ചു; അവള് ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുത്തു.
46She hurried and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink.’ So I drank, and she also gave the camels a drink.
47ഞാന് അവളോടുനീ ആരുടെ മകള് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവള്മില്ക്കാ നാഹോറിന്നു പ്രസവിച്ച മകനായ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകള് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാന് അവളുടെ മൂക്കിന്നു മൂകൂത്തിയും കൈകള്ക്കു വളയും ഇട്ടു.
47I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands.
48ഞാന് കുനിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു, എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ മകളെ അവന്റെ മകന്നായിട്ടു എടുപ്പാന് എന്നെ നേര്വ്വഴിക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനായി എന്റെ യജമാനന് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
48I bowed my head, and worshiped Yahweh, and blessed Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter for his son.
49ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ യജമാനനോടു ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും കാണിക്കുമെങ്കില് എന്നോടു പറവിന് ; അല്ല എന്നു വരികില് അതും പറവിന് ; എന്നാല് ഞാന് ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാം.
49Now if you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me. If not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.”
50അപ്പോള് ലാബാനും ബെഥൂവേലുംഈ കാര്യം യഹോവയാല് വരുന്നു; നിന്നോടു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും പറവാന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴികയില്ല.
50Then Laban and Bethuel answered, “The thing proceeds from Yahweh. We can’t speak to you bad or good.
51ഇതാ, റിബെക്കാ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോക; യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവള് നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
51Behold, Rebekah is before you. Take her, and go, and let her be your master’s son’s wife, as Yahweh has spoken.”
52അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസന് അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടപ്പോള് യഹോവയെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
52It happened that when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself down to the earth to Yahweh.
53പിന്നെ ദാസന് വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും എടുത്തു റിബെക്കെക്കു കൊടുത്തു; അവളുടെ സഹോദരന്നും അമ്മെക്കും വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കള് കൊടുത്തു.
53The servant brought out jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing, and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave precious things to her brother and her mother.
54അവനും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്തു രാപാര്ത്തു. രാവിലെ അവര് എഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം അവന് എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കല് എന്നെ അയക്കേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
54They ate and drank, he and the men who were with him, and stayed all night. They rose up in the morning, and he said, “Send me away to my master.”
55അതിന്നു അവളുടെ സഹോദരനും അമ്മയുംബാല ഒരു പത്തുദിവസമെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാര്ത്തിട്ടു പിന്നെ പോരട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
55Her brother and her mother said, “Let the young lady stay with us a few days, at least ten. After that she will go.”
56അവന് അവരോടുഎന്നെ താമസിപ്പിക്കരുതേ; യഹോവ എന്റെ യാത്ര സഫലമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കല് പോകുവാന് എന്നെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
56He said to them, “Don’t hinder me, since Yahweh has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”
57ഞങ്ങള് ബാലയെ വിളിച്ചു അവളോടു ചോദിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.
57They said, “We will call the young lady, and ask her.”
58അവര് റിബെക്കയെ വിളിച്ചു അവളോടുനീ ഈ പുരുഷനോടുകൂടെ പോകുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ഞാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവള് പറഞ്ഞു.
58They called Rebekah, and said to her, “Will you go with this man?” She said, “I will go.”
59അങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ റിബെക്കയെയും അവളുടെ ധാത്രിയെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസനെയും അവന്റെ ആളുകളെയും പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.
59They sent away Rebekah, their sister, with her nurse, Abraham’s servant, and his men.
60അവര് റിബെക്കയെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളോടുസഹോദരീ, നീ അനേകായിരമായി തീരുക; നിന്റെ സന്തതി, തന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ പടിവാതില് കൈവശമാക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
60They blessed Rebekah, and said to her, “Our sister, may you be the mother of thousands of ten thousands, and let your seed possess the gate of those who hate them.”
61പിന്നെ റിബെക്കയും അവളുടെ ദാസിമാരും എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ആ പുരുഷനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; അങ്ങനെ ദാസന് റിബെക്കയെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
61Rebekah arose with her ladies. They rode on the camels, and followed the man. The servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
62എന്നാല് യിസ്ഹാക് ബേര്ലഹയിരോയീവരെ വന്നു; അവന് തെക്കേദേശത്തു പാര്ക്കയായിരുന്നു.
62Isaac came from the way of Beer Lahai Roi, for he lived in the land of the South.
63വൈകുന്നേരത്തു യിസ്ഹാക് ധ്യാനിപ്പാന് വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു പോയിരുന്നു; അവന് തലപൊക്കി നോക്കി ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
63Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the evening. He lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, there were camels coming.
64റിബെക്കയും തലപൊക്കി യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തുനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി.
64Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she dismounted from the camel.
65അവള് ദാസനോടുവെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു നമ്മെ എതിരേറ്റു വരുന്ന പുരുഷന് ആരെന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു എന്റെ യജമാനന് തന്നേ എന്നു ദാസന് പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോള് അവള് ഒരു മൂടുപടം എടുത്തു തന്നെ മൂടി.
65She said to the servant, “Who is the man who is walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” She took her veil, and covered herself.
66താന് ചെയ്ത കാര്യം ഒക്കെയും ദാസന് യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
66The servant told Isaac all the things that he had done.
67യിസ്ഹാക് അവളെ തന്റെ അമ്മയായ സാറയുടെ കൂടാരത്തില് കൊണ്ടു പോയി. അവന് റിബെക്കയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവള് അവന്നു ഭാര്യയായിത്തീര്ന്നു; അവന്നു അവളില് സ്നേഹമായി. ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു തന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മരണദുഃഖം തീര്ന്നു.
67Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife. He loved her. Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.
