1അതിന്നു നയമാത്യനായ സോഫര് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
1Then Zophar the Naamathite answered,
2ഉത്തരം പറവാന് എന്റെ നിരൂപണങ്ങള് പൊങ്ങിവരുന്നു. എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ തത്രപ്പാടു ഹേതുവായിട്ടു തന്നേ.
2“Therefore do my thoughts give answer to me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.
3എനിക്കു ലജ്ജാകരമായ ശാസന ഞാന് കേട്ടു; എന്നാല് ആത്മാവു എന്റെ വിവേകത്തില് നിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നു.
3I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.
4മനുഷ്യന് ഭൂമിയില് ഉണ്ടായതുമുതല് പുരാതനമായ വസ്തുത നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?
4Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,
5ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ജയഘോഷം താല്ക്കാലികമത്രെ; വഷളന്റെ സന്തോഷം ക്ഷണനേരത്തേക്കേയുള്ളു.
5that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?
6അവന്റെ മഹിമ ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയര്ന്നാലും അവന്റെ തല മേഘങ്ങളോളം എത്തിയാലും
6Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,
7അവന് സ്വന്തമലംപോലെ എന്നേക്കും നശിക്കും; അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളവര് അവന് എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.
7yet he shall perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him shall say, ‘Where is he?’
8അവന് സ്വപ്നംപോലെ പറന്നുപോകും. അവനെ പിന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; അവന് രാത്രിദര്ശനംപോലെ പാറിപ്പോകും.
8He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found. Yes, he shall be chased away like a vision of the night.
9അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള കണ്ണു ഇനി അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല; അവന്റെ ഇടം ഇനി അവനെ ദര്ശിക്കയുമില്ല.
9The eye which saw him shall see him no more, neither shall his place any more see him.
10അവന്റെ മക്കള് ദരിദ്രന്മാരോടു കൃപ യാചിക്കും; അവന്റെ കൈ തന്നേ അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും.
10His children shall seek the favor of the poor. His hands shall give back his wealth.
11അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളില് യൌവനം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ അവനോടുകൂടെ പൊടിയില് കിടക്കും.
11His bones are full of his youth, but youth shall lie down with him in the dust.
12ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെ വായില് മധുരിച്ചാലും അവന് അതു നാവിന് കീഴെ മറെച്ചുവെച്ചാലും
12“Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue,
13അതിനെ വിടാതെ പിടിച്ചു വായ്ക്കകത്തു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചാലും
13though he spare it, and will not let it go, but keep it still within his mouth;
14അവന്റെ ആഹാരം അവന്റെ കുടലില് പരിണമിച്ചു അവന്റെ ഉള്ളില് സര്പ്പവിഷമായിത്തീരും.
14yet his food in his bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.
15അവന് സമ്പത്തു വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അതു വീണ്ടും ഛര്ദ്ദിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ദൈവം അതു അവന്റെ വയറ്റില്നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളയും.
15He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly.
16അവന് സര്പ്പവിഷം നുകരും; അണലിയുടെ നാവു അവനെ കൊല്ലും.
16He shall suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue shall kill him.
17തേനും പാല്പാടയും ഒഴുകുന്ന തോടുകളെയും നദികളെയും അവന് കണ്ടു രസിക്കയില്ല.
17He shall not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.
18തന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം അവന് അനുഭവിക്കാതെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും; താന് നേടിയ വസ്തുവകെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം സന്തോഷിക്കയുമില്ല.
18That for which he labored he shall restore, and shall not swallow it down. According to the substance that he has gotten, he shall not rejoice.
19അവന് ദരിദ്രന്മാരെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചുപേക്ഷിച്ചു; താന് പണിയാത്ത വീടു അപഹരിച്ചു.
19For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he shall not build it up.
20അവന്റെ കൊതിക്കു പതംവരായ്കയാല് അവന് തന്റെ മനോഹരധനത്തോടുകൂടെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയില്ല.
20“Because he knew no quietness within him, he shall not save anything of that in which he delights.
21അവന് തിന്നുകളയാതെ ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല.
21There was nothing left that he didn’t devour, therefore his prosperity shall not endure.
22അവന്റെ സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ പൂര്ണ്ണതയില് അവന്നു ഞെരുക്കം ഉണ്ടാകും; അരിഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൈ ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ മേല് വരും.
22In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress shall overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery shall come on him.
23അവന് വയറു നിറെക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ ദൈവം തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം അവന്റെ മേല് അയക്കും; അവന് ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് അതു അവന്റെ മേല് വര്ഷിപ്പിക്കും.
23When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.
24അവന് ഇരിമ്പായുധം ഒഴിഞ്ഞോടും; താമ്രചാപം അവനില് അസ്ത്രം തറെപ്പിക്കും.
24He shall flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow shall strike him through.
25അവന് പറിച്ചിട്ടു അതു അവന്റെ ദേഹത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്തുവരുന്നു. മിന്നുന്ന മുന അവന്റെ പിത്തത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ഘോരത്വങ്ങള് അവന്റെമേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
25He draws it forth, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.
26അന്ധകാരമൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ നിക്ഷേപമായി സംഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും ഊതാത്ത തീക്കു അവന് ഇരയാകും; അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിനെ അതു ദഹിപ്പിക്കും;
26All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire shall devour him. It shall consume that which is left in his tent.
27ആകാശം അവന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും ഭൂമി അവനോടു എതിര്ത്തുനിലക്കും.
27The heavens shall reveal his iniquity. The earth shall rise up against him.
28അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ വരവു പോയ്പോകും; അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ ദിവസത്തില് അതു ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും.
28The increase of his house shall depart. They shall rush away in the day of his wrath.
29ഇതു ദുഷ്ടന്നു ദൈവം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഔഹരിയും ദൈവം അവന്നു നിയമിച്ച അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു.
29This is the portion of a wicked man from God, the heritage appointed to him by God.”
